Our 2 year old started at Kids' Work last year after we switched from another local center. Our previous daycare was fine--our son was safe and cared for, but we felt he wasn't getting enough mental stimulation, and our interactions with staff were inconsistent. Once we started at Kids' Work, we realized what we'd been missing. The staff is incredible. Every person we've met has been friendly, enthusiastic, and genuinely seems happy to be there. You can tell management supports their team because the teachers never seem stressed or burned out. It's comforting to know that positive energy trickles down to the kids too. Our son is always so excited to see his teachers and classmates. Every one of his teachers has been warm and knowledgeable--the kind of people who truly love working with children. Leidy, Dina, and Desire were wonderful in the infant room, and he absolutely adores his current toddler teachers, Sydney, Monica, and Ana. He talks about them constantly. We get consistent, clear communication from his teachers about everything that happens in the classroom. They sincerely celebrate milestones with us, and whenever we face challenges, they are quick to ask questions, troubleshoot, and share tips as appropriate. The curriculum is excellent. Music and Spanish teachers come into the classroom weekly, and every day is full of creative projects and plenty of outside time. The facilities are always clean, organized, and filled with high-quality toys. The admin team has also been incredibly helpful whenever we've had questions or concerns. For example, when we were worried about our son's transition to the toddler room, Lindsey took time to reassure us and share resources to make sure he was ready. Their advice was spot on--he thrived in the new environment immediately. Last but absolutely not least, the level of organization at Kids' Work is impressive. Everything from sick policies to daily classroom schedules is well thought out, clearly communicated, and consistent. Nothing slips through the cracks with this team--and everyone is safer, healthier, and more sane because of it. We feel lucky to have found this place. It's not the cheapest option, but if you're looking for a daycare that genuinely goes the extra mile, this is the one. read more

We will always be grateful to KidsWork for the impact they had on our son and family for the past 2 years. From the caring staff to the nurturing environment, our child has grown so much in confidence, independence, and happiness. Knowing our little one was safe, loved, and learning each day gave us a peace of mind that you can't put a price on. Special thanks to Lindsey and Michelle at the front desk for making our son feel important every morning. Also, thank you to a variety of amazing teachers: Ms. Karla, Ms. Tiadora, Ms. Faeth, Mr. Ezra, Ms. Tiana, Ms. Alaina and Ms. Olyvia just to name a few. Thank you, thank you, thank you. And Bear Down. read more

We sent our little 7 month old to Kids' Work with great trepidation, as any new parent would. However, we would have been a lot more nervous had Kids' Work not proactively prepared us for what to expect and do, from the very beginning. As a result, we went to Kids' Work and never looked back. The place really feels like one big family. The environment is clean and welcoming (cleaner than any other daycare we visited), every teacher and administrator knows our son's name (impressive!), we get frequent updates on the daily activities, and most important of all, our son loves it there! The bonds he created with his infant room teachers are so heartwarming to watch. The teachers go above and beyond every day to make the parents' lives easier, and those little things matter, a lot. I would recommend Kids' Work to anyone looking for a wonderful place for their child to grow and learn! read more

Our child attended this daycare earlier this year. My wife and I had high expectations after the initial visit due to the conversations we had with the supporting staff that gave the tour of the facility. After our child who was two at the time started attending, we started receiving negative feedback from the instructor to the point of that an ASQ was assessed on our child, which the instructor did not adequately complete or comprehend the work provided by the instructor, and suggested that they would need early intervention and behavioral help. My wife and I took our child to get an professional assessment which our child passed with flying colors and we were told by the evaluator that they did not understand why the instructor would suggest what she did on the ASQ (which the instructor wasn't certified to make that assumption per DCFS). We pulled our child out of Kids Work and placed them into a Montessori which the teachers stated that our child has excelled in the areas of reading, mathematical and social comprehension. Our child is also working with the older students on activities and assignments and is a social butterfly that communicates well beyond her age. I will not discredit the entire staff but the main instructor in the Lincoln classroom was the main concern and should be addressed including one of the administrative assistants who disregarded all of our concerns. read more

My kids were at Kids' Work for four years, and I couldn't recommend them enough. Their new location on California Ave. is beautiful, clean, spacious, and well equipped with everything your kids could ever need. I especially love the covered playground which will be great across seasons. I felt like my kids were loved by the staff, even teachers they never had before! Over the years there have been periods of high turnover for support staff but I was always impressed by the tenure of all of my kids' lead teachers, and it was wonderful to have the same teacher across both kids. The curriculum did a fantastic job of preparing my kid for Kindergarten too. It is expensive, but pretty in line with other daycares I've researched. Plus brand new facilities and great programs like music, yoga, and Spanish class, and freshly prepared meals. Would recommend them! read more

We have been at Kids Work for a year and have loved the experience. The communication, meals, teachers, facilities are all top notch. Highly recommend. read more

We thought that the facilities, program, and staff seemed great when researching and virtually touring Kids Work in November of 2021 and decided to put down a deposit. At that time we were told we had one family in front of us, and we're hoping to have our son start in February. Unfortunately, there was not any proactive communication after we put down our deposit, and only received a general "we are trying to see where you are in the waitlist" reply when trying to get an update. Of course the deposit is non refundable. On one hand, they were moving facilities when we signed up, and we understand that means there's a lot going on. There was such a drastic shift in communication before/after the deposit down it feels like we were just forgotten about and the lack of communication after seems on par based on their response. read more

My daughter has been attending Kids' Work from 1yr-3.5yrs old. This school is diverse, welcoming, and quality. Making the parents comfortable is a priority but their first objective is to make sure your kid is safe, learning, and happy. I am so grateful for their curriculum. Yes, CURRICULUM. There are mini curriculums for your minis and they stick to it, and they send out the lesson plans before the week begins to help the parents be involved and facilitate their kids early education. It's basic but it helps. The staff is really easy to communicate with via email for after school questions. The mini meals are healthy and enable good eating habits. All the instructors we have had have been wonderful wonderful wonderful. There was a bit a turnover there for awhile but they were kind and open during these transitions. Also, read and refer to their rules, regulations, and extra materials. Because these kind of places have to stick to policy as far as late fees/drop dates/doctors notes etc. Daycare can be pricey. And Kids' Work is on par with its surrounding neighbors. And while it can be a financial compromise, you are paying for more than just someone watching your kid. All in all it has been a wonderful place for my daughter to learn and grow and we are incredibly grateful. read more

My daughter was here for most of her infant months and we had an OK experience. Security was top notch as there were codes at the door for each parent, then there was another code to sign in and out your children. As a new parent at the time, it gave me a lot of relief how secure the facility was. My only concern was the teacher retention. My daughter was only there for 6 months and there were always teacher coming and going almost every other month. I also thought for the money that we paid, the teachers would be well educated and trained in child development (at least a Bachelor's). Overall, it was a good daycare. The director, Beth, was also very professional and seemed like she knew ALL the kids by name which was unbelievable because there are A LOT of kids. read more

My son was here for a year and this is a very safe, caring environment. The teachers are very loving and caring and involved in the kid's lives. My kids (even the one who was too old for Kids Work, Too) loved the teachers. Parents are given lots of feedback about their kids day, which makes you feel part of your child's day. Ultimately, we moved on because we were looking for something that would allow my child to engage in more self-directed, rather than teacher-led, activities. I also wish there was more opportunity for parents to give feedback on curriculum/experiences (like even a yearly survey). But for the infant through toddler stage, this is a great safe place to send your kids. You will feel comfortable and your kid will be happy! read more

Our daughter has gone to Kids Work Too from age 10 weeks - 3.5 years old. They have two locations and it gives them flexibility in staffing to cultivate a great program. We are moving out of state, and sad to leave the school, as our daughter has really flourished with their loving but professional program. Of all our friends with kids in various daycares, Evelyn has been ahead of the curve on numbers, letters, and writing. It truly is a school when the kids get to the older classrooms. There was a short stint of discord at the center when a new director was put in place that didn't work out. The owners addressed the situation and the director Lindsey manages both locations and has fostered incredible morale in her staff. We have seen decreased teacher turnover since Lindsey has been at the helm, and the quality of the staff is top notch. It's not the cheapest out there, but you won't be disappointed! read more

My 17-month old daughter now goes here (started a couple months ago) and she loves it too! After having both kids in part-time, we are moving up to full-time starting in June. I am so pleased with Kids Work!! A GEM in this city! read more

When we were deciding to move to Chicago from Arizona last fall, our biggest concern was finding a great daycare/school for our 2.5 year old! The first place I looked at was KidsWork Too and I loved it. It set the bar high for all the others I looked at and every time I would do a pro/con list, KW Too kept coming out the clear winner! We've witnessed an unbelievable change in our little guy and his skills and learning since he started in January. His teachers are all amazing and they do a great job of keeping us informed of his daily activities and upcoming events. When you have a toddler and getting them to tell you what they did, ate and played at school each day is nearly impossible, it's nice to have that type of communication! Our son loves going to 'school' and it's hard most days to get him to leave! The facilities are top notch, super clean and everyone on the staff from the administrators to the other class teachers are super friendly and welcoming. The communication from the directors and teachers is great and very consistent and we even have a share site on Shutterfly for his class where we can view pictures, weekly menus and curriculum. Our experience is above and beyond what we were hoping to find when we moved here! read more

We love Kids' Work Chicago Too! Our child is in one of the Infant Rooms so my review can really only speak to our experience there - but so far it's been awesome. The ratio is the best we found for an infant room out of all the places we visited - 3 teachers to 8 kids! So that factor really swayed us, but everything else about this daycare is really incredible, too. The teachers are all really really great. They take the time to talk to us when we drop of our little guy and when we pick him up - so we've gotten to know them well and it's fun to catch up and hear how the day went and even chat about what sort of upcoming plans we all have outside of daycare! And they are great with our kiddo, he gets so excited when he sees them in the morning. They have fun nicknames for him and even came up with a theme song they sing for him. It's awesome. He gets to do tons of art projects, sensory play, there's a weekly music class - all sorts of things we probably wouldn't even think to do with him at home. And they send us pictures and videos of him during the day so we can see what he's up to. We feel really lucky to have discovered this place. We were very nervous about all things daycare as most of our friends use nannies. But we really love it and now can't imagine doing anything else. It's such a good, warm, friendly spot with a great staff and I think the socialization skills even infants can learn at daycare are super important. read more

We started at Kids Work Too right when it opened and my daughter was 15 months old. This was her first day care and I feel like my daughter has grown so much at Kids Work Too and learned so much more. She is such a smart and happy girl and I know that is due to the staff and their facility. The whole day care experience has been outstanding for both of us and I cannot say enough nice words about them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!! They are so organized and attentive to every child. I would not choose anywhere else! read more

Our little nugget has been at Kids Work Too for 2 months now. As first time parents, we were naturally concerned about leaving her in the care of others. (namely, anyone other than us!!). I happen to work very close to the daycare, and would drop by unannounced several times the first month. They have always been well staffed, with at least 2-3 care takers in the room, they make sure there is a clean environment. And they are very loving and cuddly with the infants, who thrive with the attention and love. They also have developmental games, music sessions and all round fun! The best part is that they are very receptive and respectful of every family's preference - when it comes to feeding, sleep training/or lack there of, and will help with matching the routines and parenting guidelines you follow at home, so there is consistency. I highly recommend this daycare. read more

The Roscoe teachers are AMAZING! We love them and feel like they are the moms and dads when we're away. Our son loves it here and has made some great friends. The teachers and administration truly love what they do and it shows! We'll be sad to leave for kindergarten and we'll be lucky if his future teachers are half as good as you all! :-) read more

We love the team at Kids work too. Our son has attended since 2017 and we have loved every class he has been in. The staff is attentive and caring. Highly recommend! read more

Top notch daycare exceeding all expectations. My son attended KW2 from age 3 months through 12 months until we moved. As first time parents and during Covid we were very nervous deciding on a daycare. KW2 is an absolutely wonderful center. My son was always so happy at drop off jumping into the arms of the teachers. We would get real time updates throughout the day of diaper changes, food ate, bottles, play activities, and tons of pictures. There is a real curriculum with themes, lots of spirit weeks, and a good amount of babies for him to socialize with. There is something to be said about finding quality daycare where I was never worrying about him being happy or sad or not in good hands. We moved to the suburbs which is the only reason I had to pull him out. And since have interviewed 15 or so local centers attempting to find something of similar quality. My only negative to report is that if you have to leave as my family did due to a move... KW2 sets the bar so high nothing compares! read more

We have been a Kids' Work Chicago Too family since 2017. After visiting and researching several options, we could not be more satisfied with our choice. As an educator myself, I'm constantly impressed with the quality of both instruction and emphasis on the whole child. From the parent perspective, my child has teachers who love him as if he's their own. What more could you ask for? read more

Our son attended KW2 from 10 months to 29 months. We are extremely thankful and grateful that our son was part of the "BEST" program in the area. The center focuses on the most important things "Kids" versus profit margins. The center discretely staffs each classroom with lower teacher to children ratio to provide the best care and learning opportunities for kids. The teachers carefully design their lesson plans to develop children's social, emotional, and gross and fine motor skills while allowing them to be kids. They provide diapers, wipes, and lotion!!! They understand the challenges of working parents by making our lives easier. The center maintains much lower teacher to children ratio than DCFS standards. We had to change centers as we moved out to the suburbs. After being at the new center for 2 weeks, we realize how great KW2 is. We highly recommend the center! read more

We couldn't be happier with the teachers, food, and programming. Our little one has been here since infancy, so we have experienced several different classrooms and have always had a wonderful experience. The teachers are very caring and creative and the kids have days that are full of play and learning opportunities. There is yoga, music, gross motor play time, and lots of art and sensory exploration. The peace of mind that we have knowing our kid is so well taken care of, engaged, and happy counts for a lot. read more

We LOVE kids' work chicago too! Our son has been there since just after it opened and our second child has been going there since he was 8 weeks old (they are 3 and 11 mos now). All of the teachers are awesome. Each classroom has it's own personality, but each are outstanding. I don't have to worry, ever, about the care my children are receiving and that is very comforting as a working parent. I love the open door policy, my husband and I work different hours every day of the week and it's nice to be able to drop off and pick up when we can. They are also very good at communication, pictures and curriculum. We were amazed after our first parent-teacher conference to learn that not only are they taking care of my child but they are also closely monitoring and working with him on all type of developmental milestones. I also love that they have activities such as music class and yoga class and do so many art projects! When I get home all I have to do is play and just be with them. I never have to worry about if they are learning what they need to! We are so sad to be moving from the city soon and having to leave KWCT. To be honest it was our biggest hesitation in moving - trying to find another place as great as KWCT. I would highly recommend KWCT to anyone looking for a wonderful place to send their kids! read more

Both our children, now ages 2 and 4, went to Kids Work Too and loved it. We had to move out to the suburbs but were extremely sad to leave. Frankly, now that we have a comparison of our new suburb place to KW2, we realize how great it really was! Loved the teachers, loved what the kids were learning. Highly recommend. read more

My child has been there for close to nine months and she has had four teacher changes, there is no consistency and by January they will loose three more teachers. It seems to me that the management does not support the needs or cares of the teachers. The teachers that have left were excellent and it makes me wonder if they treat their teachers so poorly how they are treating my child. We are looking at different child care options. read more

In a city with so many childcare choices, my only regret was that we didn't find Kids Work Too sooner!! My 2.5 year old attends 4 days a week and our 4 month old will be starting next week. The care, love, passion, and kindness that these teachers possess is astounding. They take the time to truly get to know each child and their specific needs and then go a step further to tailor the curriculum to those needs. My son loves his school and teachers and looks forward to coming everyday. It's the perfect balance of play based and structural learning and truly takes the best of both methods. That being said, the facts speak even more loudly for KWToo, so here are some of the highlights. They serve organic food from a local caterer, milk and water only (I was shocked at how many facilities we looked at that served juice all day long). They take food allergies very seriously which was important to us. The outdoor area is the perfect mix for all ages including water areas. The facility is spotless, I wish my house was this clean! Photos of the kids are posted via a shutterfly shared site (restricted access) along with weekly curriculum and menu items. Cameras in each room so you can watch your child if drop off was particularly hard. Also an added level of check and balances. Facility is security code access only. Finally communication is constantly flowing. They are on top of everything. KWToo truly feels like an extended family if you are looking for a top notch facility that encompasses what childcare should be, look no further! read more
