We had our wedding there this past summer. It was perfect! The food was delicious, plentiful and served hot. The liquor was top shelf. People raved about food and drink. The wedding packages were generous and inclusive without hidden charges. The cake from Central Continental was beautiful and delicious. The outside grounds are impeccably kept with beautiful flowers, so ceremony flower expenses were minimum. We used recommended vendors Flowerville (Anna) who captured my vision and budget beautifully (highly recommend) and Manna Music who has expertise in balancing optimum sound levels inside and outside so that everyone enjoyed the ceremony and party. The Concorde staff was flexible and accommodating and made sure that all transitions happened seamlessly. They know their stuff! Plenty of background photo ops both inside and out. I can't think of anything I would change. No complaints!!!! Check it out!!!! read more

Every event we have here just couldn't have been more perfect. From weddings to baptisms to anniversaries John and crew are top-notch class acts of experience, warmth, value and delivery. The food is always beyond excellent, impeccable service and they constantly update their gorgeous banquet facility to keep it second to none. They just remodeled their entrance all in high pane glass panels and the rest of the structure is like brand new - it always looks brand new! They never let it get to look like anything otherwise. I would highly and solely recommend the Concorde as a first choice for any banquet needs. read more

My partner and I were married at Concorde and had our reception in February 2013. Everything, from the food to the decor to the service to the price, was absolutely perfect. John and Peter were a pleasure to work with and ensured that our special day was everything we had hoped for. Many of our guests told us it was not only the best wedding, but the best party, that they had ever attended. Much of this was due to Concorde. Thanks for everything, Concorde! read more

I honestly cannot find a single negative thing to say about Concorde Banquets, really. My wife and I had an AMAZING wedding reception back in December of last year and we loved the experience, from beginning to end! We worked primarily with John Kalyviaris and he was so extremely helpful to us. Their food was amazing, the venue was beautiful, and our guests had the best things to say about Concorde Banquets. Highly recommended! read more

We had our wedding at the Concorde in October and cannot say how thankful we are for all the assistance John and his team had provided us throughout the wedding planning process. We appreciated John's honesty and professionalism. Our wedding day was perfect. The food was amazing. To this day many of our guests still comment on how excellent the food was. We will be having many more events at the Concorde. Highly recommend. read more

I was at a wedding here a few weeks ago was so impressed with the food and the venue. Oh, and the service was top-notch. If you close your eyes and are transported to the ballroom you would think you were at the Four Seasons or Peninsula hotels downtown. The food is what really knocked me off my seat. The seabass and filet were to die for. I don't know how they do it but everything that came out of the kitchen seemed like it went from the chef's hands to my dinner plate. All the servers were friendly and aimed to please. A friend of ours had allergies and we had to change things up on them in the last minute and it was all handled professionally and I didn't feel like we annoyed them. Keep doing what you're doing! read more

Concorde did an absolutely amazing job with our engagement party, which is why we chose to have our wedding here as well! John in incredibly professional and helpful. The food was amazing, the service was impeccable, and the banquet room was perfection. A banquet hall can't get any better than this! read more

We had our wedding here in December and really enjoyed the experience. We pulled together a wedding in just over two months and John and his staff were great in making sure we didn't need to worry about the reception. The room looked beautiful the food was fantastic and looked as great as it tasted. My husbands father had specific needs and they were more than accommodating to make sure he was also able to enjoy the reception. We even ended up partying past our time and at no time was the staff rude or making us feel rushed to get out. I would definitely recommend using the Concorde, our families are still talking about what a great time they had. read more

Is there such a thing as the perfect banquet hall? I married my wife at Concorde--we enjoyed a very romantic outdoor ceremony in the beautiful wedding garden...and then celebrated in the spectacular ballroom inside. From the elegant winding staircase, to the soothing waterfall in the hallway, there's just something about Concorde's interior that makes you glad to be there. The ballrooms are absolutely majestic but not gaudy, and the staff went the extra mile for us every step of the way. Our families still rave about the entire experience, and there were plenty of comments about the food! This was not your standard "banquet hall" food. And coming from my big fat Greek family--that's saying something! My wife and I will someday renew our vows here...thanks Concorde staff for a 5-star experience! read more

I had my wedding reception here in 2015 and it was a wonderful experience. The grounds and rooms are beautiful, there is plenty of parking, the staff is more than willing to work with you, and the food is delicious! As an example of their customer service: One of my guests was a vegetarian and the cook made a dish just for her. She loved it too. I did not worry for a minute that my reception wouldn't go as planned. Thank you, Concorde, for facilitating such a lovely event! read more

My sister-in-law's wedding was at this venue over this past weekend (Dec 29th). I'm posting this review because during the wedding reception, my mother-in-law, an aunt, and the bride were boasting about how terrific the facility and staff have been - and I asked if they planned to post a review, they said "they don't post reviews" - so I feel obligated to make note of the positivity expressed by my family. My mother-in-law can be pretty intense, but she was delighted by the coordination and support and responsiveness from the Concorde management (especially John). They were always helpful through the planning phase, and they were present and available during the event to make sure it was handled properly. My wife's aunt and I had to get into the reception room early in the day (around 11am) before the reception started at 6pm, so we could place floral centerpieces and other decorations. The staff didn't have a "work table" setup as requested in advance, but they quickly allocated one for our use and then were friendly as we did our work in the room. We also had to slip into the kitchen a few times, and it was impressive how clean and well-coordinated it always was in there. My wife's aunt has helped with quite a few weddings in different metropolitan areas, and she was genuinely impressed with the venue and the service. There were about 130 people at the wedding, and the space was well laid-out, there was a dance floor and a DJ, and the serving staff was attentive with making sure wine and water glasses were refilled, and the bartenders were quick and friendly throughout the event. We also coordinated with a nearby hotel that provided a complimentary hotel shuttle service to and from the Concorde so we didn't have to worry about people driving later in the evening. Overall, speaking on behalf of my in-laws, I think they would overwhelmingly recommend this venue to others looking for the qualities mentioned here. read more

I had my wedding here in October 2012 and I still cannot stop thinking about how amazing it was. Concorde is absolutely amazing in every way!! The food, the decor, the atmosphere, the staff, the cleanliness, the bathrooms... it's all the best!!! Everything about the Concorde Banquets was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we walked in and met with John for a tour of the venue to the moment we walked out at the end of our September 2013 wedding reception, I could not have been happier with the experience. John and his staff are very nice, accommodating and easy to work with. We thought they were going to nickle and dime us for everything, but they actually threw in a lot of extras free of charge. For example, we wanted 4 high boy cocktail tables and extra votives on the dinner tables, and they just added them without even a second's hesitation. When we got to our reception, I noticed we had the Chivari chairs (usually $7 each)and we didn't ask for them or pay for them. It's the little things that make your experience special! In addition, the food was to die for! I still have guests commenting on how delicious food was. The steaks and chicken were moist and the salmon was perfectly done. They have a great chef (and team) back in their kitchens! The rest of the banquet hall was great too - lots of room to dance or sit at the table, great room layout and a cute little gazebo and pond to take bridal and family pictures. Concorde Banquets is a wonderful place and I would highly recommend it to have your wedding and/or reception (or any function). John and his team are great to work with and really go the extra mile. Considering what we paid for our reception, the quality of food and service we received, this place is a great value and Lake County's best kept secret! read more

We had our wedding reception here two weekends ago and I can't even put into words how blown away I was with every aspect. The room was absolutely stunning and the service surpassed all expectations. The grounds the venue sit on are also gorgeous and we were able to take all of our pictures after the ceremony there. We got married on a Friday so this was a huge bonus with the limited time we had between the ceremony and reception. The pictures I have seen look amazing with the gazebo and water in the background. The food was absolutely amazing. I had compliment after compliment about the great food. The servers even went table to table to see if anyone wanted their steak cooked more and every staff member was so attentive, not only to us but to all of our guests. I quite frankly am shocked that there is a single bad review written. From the time we walked into the door John and Peter were very professional and easy to work with. They went the extra mile to ensure our day was perfect. I know friends who have paid double for their wedding reception and the overall quality of the night didn't even compare to our experience here. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone getting married. I have the best memories and I am still elated when I think of that evening. read more

The team at Concorde was fabulous. They surpassed my every wish, whim, and expectation. My family and friends were so impressed with the food, decor, and wonderful customer service. Beautiful venue and great food!! Our wedding was perfect. I was really happy with the service.

Concorde is the best! My daughter was married in the room upstairs and then our guests moved downstairs to the ballroom for the reception. It was a perfect day. The entire staff was professional, friendly and attended to every detail from the first day of planning through the last guest departure. We planned the wedding ourselves, on a limited budget, so there were numerous trips back to Concorde for measuring, lighting checks--how big were those tables, again? The staff was always welcoming and happy to see us. They accommodated the brides every wish and were very flexible with decorating the room. The night of the wedding there were large events in every ballroom. We were the smallest group; about 200. I anticipated delays or less attention because we were the smallest group--but the staff at Concorde made sure that didn't happen. The delicious dinner was served promptly and many of our guests commented on the good food and excellent service. Thank you to the entire staff at Concorde for making a life-long family memory. read more

I was there for a baby shower with my family two weeks ago We had an awful time there. My daughter found two hairs in the same plate of soup. I noticed their knives and silverware were not washed totally , They were in a hurry to turn down the room so that we can go inside, Not professional at all. Floors were not vacuumed ,had a lot of food left on the floor . The manager there he's a real Mean person. In my family we are all overweight , He gave us a couple times Dirty look , When we were asking them to clean around our table, Washrooms were not cleaned , It was a nightmare. I am not going there anymore. read more

Hands down the best banquet hall in the area. I had my wedding here and was extremely happy with the service, the quality, the pricing, and the appearance of the venue. My wife and I got married on November 1st, 2014. I can't thank John enough for all of his help. He went above and beyond for my wife and I and made our special day very memorable. We had 469 guests and everyone was seated very comfortably. John was even able to drape the sweet table for us which we thought would not be done due to the number of guests. I would recommend this venue to anybody and everybody. All of the guests raved about the food and the ambiance of the hall. John is truly a man of his word and I will continue to recommend my friends and family to book any event at this venue. Nothing but positive things to say about this place. read more

Worst management ever. After allowing another guest to vandalize the welcome signature of a wedding. The manager than verbally abused two guests because they looked in another room even though we constantly had people walking in to our wedding. Manager was rude and wasn't concerned about anything but our guests trying to find the person who vandalized the sign. Never visit again. read more

The Concorde was a fabulous venue for us and the owners/ managers, Peter and John, really were helpful whenever we needed them and went out of their way to make sure that we were comfortable and everything ran smoothly. We initially selected the Concorde because we'd been there for weddings before and it is a beautiful venue with great food- which can be challenging for any venue that is serving a large number of people. We ended up having a salmon/ filet mignon dinner plate combo and both were prepared wonderfully. Many guests complimented the food. We had selected the room with the largest dance floor with one additional room partition. It could have fit 300 and we were aiming for a minimum of 285 based on our contract, which we had signed about a year and a half before the wedding. When we only had about 250 guests, John worked to add some extras to our package to narrow the price difference between the contract we had signed and the number of guests we ended up with. The service was also very good during the wedding. The server who waited on my husband and I was very attentive and noticed when we returned to our seats to eat after visiting with guests and made sure that our cups were filled and plates were as well. Also, the manager that night (I can't remember her name) periodically checked with us to make sure that everything was running to our satisfaction. We concluded our wedding at the time of our contract (midnight), but we didn't feel rushed in terms of gathering the leftover desserts and centerpieces. Everyone who worked there was pleasant and helpful. Our guests loved the larger dance floor and extra space. One extra: my fiance and I were preparing a special wedding dance. John and Peter were completely open to us popping in a few times before our wedding, during the day when events weren't going on, to do a few practice runs on the dance floor, which was very nice and helpful. read more

My wife and I are very pleased with hosting our wedding ceremony at Concorde Banquets. John and Peter were professional and very well organized. I don't think that Concorde is expensive comparing to other banquet halls. It's affordable. But the quality of service and food was outstanding and exceptional. They always did their best to help us from the beginning to the end. All the guests praised the beauty of the room and the taste of the food. We went with Traditional package with three main dishes: salmon, chicken, and New York strip steak. All were very delicious as we tasted before the wedding. And some of our friends told us that they would definitely consider Concorde for their wedding. Do not spend too much money on hotels or other banquet halls. Concorde is simply the best. Memories at Concorde will last in our life. read more

If i could i would not give this place even one star. Worst customer service ever! We made an appointment with John who suppose to show us the venue. We are planning our wedding and were so excited to see this place. John, did not walk us around at all, he did not even offer to show us the rooms! We had to ask about it and every other detail. He gave us folder with prices and informed that "he is busy" ! I have no idea how this person can be a wedding coordinator and personally i can not imagine us working with him in this very special day for us. My advice to John: "if you are making an appointment with people MAKE SURE YOU ARE AVAILABLE!!!! read more

Went to a wedding reception there recently. The food and service were outstanding, everything ran like clockwork, the room was very nice.

I need to start by saying that for the most part my brother and sister in laws wedding was perfect! However, the guy that was assisting from the venue (goes by "tax") was rude and unhelpful. We had a special meal for a guest that has food allergies, my husband said when he brought the food to him, he was all but helpful and rude. Then the ceremony room was super hot and we were never told where the microphone was. 2 min before the bride walked down the aisle I am running around in heals trying to find him to assist with these issues which he seemed to be super inconvenienced by my requests. That issue was resolved (although the room was still very warm. Then we go in for cocktail hour. I am informed that one of our tables has an issue (my table) we are missing two plate settings and chairs. So I find tax and ask him to grab two chairs and plate settings. Instead of correcting the issue while people are trying to find their seats he argues with me that the seating chart is what he followed. Personally I didn't care what the seating chart said at that time I just wanted it corrected and to sit with my family. We end up moving people around and making it work without Tax's help. He later came up to me eight he seating chart to prove he was right and I was wrong and I more or less told him to go away. He also then came back and asked if I needed more plate settings and chair and at that point we had already displaced some of my family to another table (which we felt awful about). This issue also happened on the other side of the wedding and they had to move people around a bunch too. My best friend got married here, it was perfect and I told my sister in law it would be such. I felt terrible that she had to stress at all about this while she should have been celebrating. I would also tell the staff not to touch drinks that are in front of people, my water was almost taken on 3 occasions by the staff cleaning up the tables. It was very rude especially because people come back to their drink gone. Overall it was a beautiful wedding which had some hiccups which is fine, it happens. The way Tax handled the situation was bad and unprofessional which is the reason for the 3 stars. read more

I cant even begin to describe how amazing Concorde is and was during the year and a half i was engaged. The venue looks a tad outdated from the outside, but the interior is stunning - the carpet and chandeliers are just gorgeous!! John is the owner and he is so calm and patient and professional. He makes you feel so at ease. Pat is just a delight. She is super nice and easy going and professional and made me feel great about everything, even when i called a bunch the week before with questions. We had our ceremony upstairs and our reception downstairs, keeping everything in one place, right after each other. That was very important to us. Both rooms looked gorgeous. Everything was set up just how we wanted it. The food was exceptional!!! When we did the tasting, i was able to wrap up some food to take home because it tasted so great!! We went with the chicken piccata and it was delish. Even the wines were awesome- im not a fan of merlot, but theirs was great! The only thing that was a little off putting is that there were 2 ceremonies happening outside - ours was upstairs which was fine, but our receptions were all at the same time. We couldnt hear anything, but we did the introductions at the same time, so we were all out in the hallway, and I had guests from the other wedding write in our guest book accidentally, and a few even tried to crash our dance floor around 11 since ours was still going on. It was fine, and not what i'll remember when i look back, but just something to be aware of! read more

We just had our wedding here on March 15, 2013. John really took care of us. Great deal for a beautiful venue as far as banquet halls go. Although traffic delayed everything (a traffic light went out) the wedding went better than expected. One of our guests even had a medical emergency. My mom said the employees handled it very professionally and rushed her to the ambulance without making any commotion. Hardly anyone knew what had happened! She's doing well, btw. We extended the reception to midnight due to the delay. When the DJ played the last song, we all chanted "ONE MORE SONG! ONE MORE SONG!" The DJ asked for the ok from the other manager, Peter. He gave the OK and we got our extra song! It actually became 2 songs because the DJ mixed in an extra one! Afterwards, our guests ranted and raved about how delicious the filet and lobster bisque were. Everyone also loved the sweet table which was PACKED with desserts. From what I heard, the servers were all very friendly and attentive. Thank you Concorde, for giving us the wedding we dreamed of! read more

We recently had our wedding at Concorde Banquets on August 17th, 2013 and I cannot say enough great things about this venue and its staff. My sister had her bridal shower and wedding reception there three years ago and although she had a wonderful experience as well, I now got to firsthand experience the professionalism and great service that Concorde Banquets offers. The entire process from planning the details of the reception to the night itself was simple and worry-free because of John and his staff. They are very accommodating and patient with any requests and/or needs. The staff helped us with every step of the way during the planning process and everything went very smoothly. As a bride, the planning process can be stressful but if you choose the right venue and work with the right people, you have nothing to worry about-I knew i had nothing to worry or stress about when it came to our venue. The grounds of the venue are beautiful and there was no need to go elsewhere for wedding pictures. With a meticulously maintained lawn, a gorgeous gazebo, lake and swans, I cannot wait to see our outdoor wedding pictures. The inside decor is also beautiful with its high ceilings and gorgeous light fixtures. I took a sneak peak at the set up of our room before the doors were opened up to our guests and the room was absolutely breathtaking. Many of our guests had commented on how beautiful the room looked. What they were also raving about was the food. Personally, the two most important factors for me in a wedding are great music and great food. We had a combination plate of fillet mignon and chicken and all the guests were continuously commenting on how wonderful the food was. Our dessert table was not a table but literally the entire length of one wall and our guests were very impressed as many of them had not seen a bigger sweet table before! I could not have been happier with my wedding day and a large part of that is due to our experience at Concorde. Throughout the night, John and Peter checked in with my husband and I as well as our parents to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. I could not have asked for anything more as it was all exceptional!! I highly recommend Concorde Banquets..your experience will be wonderful and your guests will be sure to remember your wedding! read more

I was a guest for this wedding that I attended here back in May. The food was amazing, and the servers were definitively on top of their game. Every time somebody at our table finished their drink, the empty glass was cleared off in minutes. My only complaint was that since the ceremony was upstairs, there was no clear cut sign that said where it was, we just kind of wandered in the hall and then when we found it we went up stairs to the ceremony site, we were not allowed in yet. There was not much space in the upstairs section so it got really cramped waiting for the doors to open. Other than that I have no complaints. read more

Was at wedding there over weekend and wanted to say food was pretty good but bartender was a jerk and I am sure some of the hard liqour was watered down. My daughter and new son-in-law just had their wedding reception at Concorde Banquets. WOW! What exceptional service!! From the moment we arrived that evening, we were greeted by the banquet manager, who introduced himself and let us know he would be available all evening if we needed ANYTHING. He continually checked in with us during the evening, and was visible through out the night, making sure all went smoothly. Did it ever! As guests arrived, passed appetizers were not only delicious, but they were abundant, as well! Dinner was served in a timely manner and was EXCELLENT. The food was hot and delicious!! Wine was poured for us through out the meal, and dishes were cleared efficiently and without interruption to our guests. We had nothing but compliments from our guests on the quality of the food and the beauty of the venue. The evening was just perfect, and our expectations were beyond measure!! On 8/16/2014 Concord banquet reservation was signed with an $850 deposit. The reservation date was 11/7/2015. At time of contractual agreement, a verbal agreement was also made stating that a refund would be provided if a reservation is cancelled within a timely manner and the reserved room is still booked on the same date and time by a 3rd party. There were 3 witnesses present aside from myself and the business. The room reservation was cancelled on 9/20/2014 which is a month after signing and over a year before the reservation date. Since that day I have called concord banquets numerous times and every time I call I am told that room B is booked for 11/7/2015. When I mention who I am and what I am calling for, they immediately change their answer and tell me they were looking at the wrong date and 11/7/15 is still open. I believed them at first, but after multiple calls with the same results, I know concord banquets is now avoiding me and the promise they made to me upon agreement. All I am asking for is my deposit back especially since no time or money was wasted by concord within that time frame. read more
