I have two dog and I go to both and the Rutherford one is not a rip off!!!!Took my dog there yesterday! Nice to the face but on the phone! Another story and won't be back.. Asking some questions and getting a round about answer from the secretary. To a very simple yes or no question. Then to be told I'm being rude by the doctor. Who snatched the phone. If I wanted to be rude I would have walk In and made a scene! Getting a simple no sorry we can't do that would have been much better customer services ( return on a medicine that already had at home.). Instead, the reply and miscommunication was her saying the doctor said hold on to it, until the Christmas break is over. When I then asked, so you will take it back after the break or no? Not only me when I was waiting to pay for the over priced medicine it was the same for another customer who had called... think at the time dam I wonder what they did to be asked not to call but after today.. I don't think they did anything!! Truly speaking! I don't go out of my way to write reviews.. like at all! But I really felt the need to with this one.. simple just rude! Hey but that's rude apparently!

Keele Rutherford Animal Hospital - Rest in Peace Milo

Post for awareness…read more If you care about the well being of pets, do not take them to this "animal hospital". Our dog Milo who has been in good health for the last 7 years is now deceased. After a common / simple procedure, Dr.Shankar Kothawar wrongfully prescribed Milo medications causing, heavy breathing and bloody stools. After trying to figure out what is going on with Milo and 3+ visits to this "animal hospital" we had enough of Dr.Shankar Kothawar and decided to take Milo to Dr. Dean animal hospital. Milo immediately went on oxygen followed by a blood test and x-ray; the wrongfully prescribed medications caused a hole in his stomach followed by internal bleeding. Dr. Dean animal hospital tried multiple times to get clinical notes, but Dr.Shankar Kothawar would not cooperate knowing Milo was in critical condition. After being persistent we were finally assured by the receptionist that they would send the clinical notes with in the next 10 minutes. To our surprise we did not receive the clinical notes in 10 minutes... We received them about 2 days after Milo passed away. In conclusion Milo would have still been with our family if Dr. Shankar Kothawar was more compassionate and simply has a clue what he was doing. Report veterinary's like this - https://cvo.org/

This vet killed me and my girlfriends dog…read more The dog had epilepsy, but was on medication for it and was very stable. Monitoring her diet and exercise while taking the meds was a successful combination. Seizures were a rare occurrence, and if they did happen they were short and not repetitive. They also only happened at night when everyone was sleeping. My girlfriend moved houses and wanted to have a vet close to her new place. We found this vet, and decided to get the same exact medication for our dog. When picking up the medication for the first time from this vet, the pills were visibly different. After asking about it, we were assured that it was only a different casing, but the medicine was the same. Literally the first day of giving our dog the meds from the new vet, she had a seizure during her walk in the afternoon. A couple of hours upon returning to the house, she had another seizure. Already two very strange occurrences for our dog. Later that night, she had yet another seizure. After this one, we decided to give her an emergency medication that was given to us by the old vet. There has never been a seizure after taking the medication in the past. But this night was different. Through the night, our dog continually had seizures. We decided to immediately take her to the vet first thing in the morning. The place was supposed to open at 9:00am as it says everywhere. We showed up, but the doors were closed. We called, and were told we needed to wait until 10:30am. That was even with the critical situation already explained. They still arrived after 10:30, and by that point our dog had passed away in the car. This vet not only refused any blame or criticism for the issue being immediately after taking the pills from him or for being over 1.5 hours late. They also had the audacity to immediately start bringing up what funeral services we should buy. The bottle of pills that were only missing two from one day of taking them was refused for a refund. That is despite the old vet previously allowing a refund. All in all, this place is unprofessional, disrespectful, ignorant, and cost the life of me and my girlfriend's dog. I don't want you to make the same mistake we did. Please take care of your pets, they are family. Don't trust this vet, they do not have the health and safety of your pet in mind. All they care about is the money you give them.

I have been enjoying following them on Instagram for a very long time. They treat your fur babies as if they are one of their own and that is so important to me. You can see all the love they have to give through their pictures and videos. Toby has been doing much better because of their guidance and support and the whole team there is so amazing! Thank you all so much for you attention and patience! We will definitely be continuing to come here from now on.

My dog had a pink eye with some discharge and I went to the the vet to be able to get the medicine, but than the vet started to offer other things: - Two exames for the eyes, one costing 300 and the other one, 60 for each eye. - Tablets for ticks. I said no, I have it already. - Diet plan. I wanted only the drops for his eyes, that was it! When I went to pay for the consultation and get the medicine, they had included also an "oil" for his eyes and some wet pads for pets - these two things are more expensive than the simple eye drops my dog needed. I just paid 250+ dollars to get out of there, and I just wanted a 14 dollars eye drops. Well, I felt very disappointed and I already miss Doc Dean, she never offered me any unnecessary service or treatment. I hope she is enjoying her retirement. I am considering looking for a new vet for my dog as it looks like the vet is so eager to make lots of money on added and unnecessary services and products not required or requested.

During the treatment period, I raised concerns several times that the medication seemed to be affecting him poorly. Unfortunately, these concerns were not taken seriously. After the last dose, he began having seizures. At no point were we clearly informed about the potential neurological side effects of this medication or advised about warning signs to watch for. We are devastated. Neo was deeply loved, and we spent years caring for him through sleepless nights, significant emotional strain, and substantial medical costs. I am sharing this in the hope that the clinic will remind its veterinarians and technicians to carefully discuss the potential side effects of medications like this and to listen closely when owners report concerns. If this message helps prevent another family from going through the same loss, Neo's story will have mattered.

We asked the doctor what he thinks is best and if we should just remove his nail? Or what else can you do? He explained to us we would continue to have this problem with him breaking his nails so we should just remove the entire digit on the one paw and then the other paw we will just remove the nail and within 7-10 days he'll be fine again. He told us that the surgery was NOT a big deal and he could do it right now. He gave us no other options, he just insisted that the surgery is the best way to proceed. This was at 6pm in the evening on Jan 2nd. This was the beginning of an ongoing nightmare. Unfortunately I cannot post the entire essay I had wrote on Facebook due to Googles character limit. But after seeing a few other vets we found out this surgery is HIGHLY NOT recommended ever. Another vet even said after his 23 years experience he has NEVER recommended amputating the front dew claws. It's dangerous and a nightmare if it becomes infected. This was a photo taken this morning. This is still ongoing. His paw looks a million times better than what it did, it was black and green and crusty and disgusting, and the oder was unbelievably foul. DO NOT let your pets be put through unnecessary surgeries GET A SECOND OPINION. We certainly have learned our lesson.

Dr. Lam is incredibly patient and always takes her time to help understand the issue at hand. She clearly cares about her clients, and it shows when she follows up diligently to check on our pup. All of the staff have been nothing but incredibly kind to me and my dog at every visit. My only complaint is that appointments never seem to happen on time, I'll end up waiting 25 minutes + sometimes. I'm not sure if this is expected for all vets but now I make appointments only when I can spare at least 2 hours. HOWEVER, the clinic is very quick to respond to emails and calls which makes my life a lot easier. I don't plan on switching vets anytime soon and I'll definitely recommend Miliken Bridlewood to my pet owner friends as well.

We used to see Dr. Lee and Dr. Won but they left the clinic a while ago so now we see Dr. Lam. We have many friends that also bring their dogs here and they too have been experiencing less than stellar service (a doctor forgot to remove the stitches from her dog after her surgery). Dr. Lam is very patient and listens and ask questions. She explains everything very clearly and does a run through with what was discussed at the end of the appointment which is very refreshing. Unfortunately, she doesn't come into the appointment with a background of the pets and shuffles through the dog's chart at the beginning of the appointment but we still really like her because she's thorough. The receptionist, Hazel, is a new (our first time meeting her) hire that seems to get flustered easily. We always paid for our dogs separately (sister pays for one and I pay for two) but when we asked her, she became very upset. We apologized and informed her that we always did it this way. She kissed her teeth and said she will see what she can do. The total was $1463.60 for all three dogs so she charged my sister $431.74 leaving me to pay $1031.86 but it didn't make sense because we knew each dog costs $431.74. We informed her that she didn't charge tax for the first dog and she got angry. We asked her why would I pay for someone else's taxes and she just rolled her eyes and angrily corrected her mistake. There was many other bumps with the receptionist during our visit that day (giving us the wrong dosage for our dog, rolling her eyes when we gave her our dog's stool sample, etc.). I noticed that this clinic is pricier than others as well and have considered switching clinics but have yet to find a decent one.

Long story short, we were told he had his first vaccines, however the paperwork would be mailed to us. He claimed we would receive the paperwork between Dec 21 - Dec 29. I called my vet to book second shots (due to holidays the earliest they could book would be Jan 6) We constantly asked David for the paperwork as it never arrived in the mail, we then asked for the vet info at least so our vet could contact them - he refused (red flag) We had our vet call David directly and found the vet name ... what David failed to mention was he, himself, gives the injections and has a vet sign off (Dr. Puri) Unsure why he left that out in the first place... I called Dr. Puri office and was informed some breeders do their own vaccines - OK - moving on.. We ended up having to get and pay for first shots all over again since we still had not received any paperwork, when my husband reached out to David to let him know our disappointment, David was not pleased... We ended up receiving the paperwork for "our dog" this week.... The shot date says either December 17th or December 27th.. We brought our dog home December 12th, so unless David broke into our home a few days later to do puppy vaccines he is a liar. Sketchy business he is running, I feel terrible for all those puppies likely not getting their first shots. Just sell them without shots so new owners can protect their new animals! Terrible place.
