There are rocks to sit on watching the water fall and the water may spray you a little bit. Keep hiking to go higher and higher uncovering more parts of the waterfall. There are several smaller trails that lead you to pools of water by the falls for wading. The water is cold, but worth it for a refreshing dip.

What I wanted to give the biggest shout out to is the staff. Particularly the staff member in the front office she was very kind and welcoming. Also the gentleman mowing the grass I believe he said his name was Griffin. My son approached him and he shut off the mower and answered every question that was asked. He was so polite and kind to my son it made his day. I definitely want to come back especially if Griffin is there, he really went out of his way to be nice and kind to my son even though that he was busy. Very good guest service.

The rest of this review is focused on my interaction with the owner Don, and not the guides (who were very pleasant fellas). Don handled the paperwork and showed my partner and I how the snowmobiles worked. Then we got on our own snowmobiles to get started, and this is when Don started yelling at me. First of all, to start this snowmobile you have to pull up the kill switch. Those little knobs pull up by like one tiny centimeter and maybe if you rode it everyday you can tell by eye if the kill switch is up or down. Well I couldn't tell and I assumed I had to pull up the knob so I tried, and Don started yelling at me IT'S ALREADY UP WHY ARE YOU PULLING IT, IT'S ALREADY UP! Then I tried to turn the key in ignition but it didn't start because I didn't flip the parking brake. Then Don started yelling again "YOU ARE STILL IN PARKED, FLIP THIS THING. DON'T YOU LISTEN?!!" Now, in Don's instructions he said almost in his exact words" this is the parking brake and you don't have to worry about it". So hey Don I listened to you and didn't worry about it, guess you need better instructions. Maybe Don had a bad day and was frustrated, but no amount of frustration justifies yelling that way at others. Oh and we paid for a 4 hour ride but got only 3 hours of actual ride time. And no we weren't late. If you really want to go snowmobiling, I'd recommend checking out options near Leavenworth. The prices are similar if not cheaper than Chewack, views are just as good and the staff a lot more pleasant and professional.

One of the most beautiful and undiscovered locations in all of Washington. The forest roads are…read morenot paved but still fine to drive on. Plenty of places to take in the vistas and escape the bustle of city life. In the two days I was birding the forest trails in this forest I never ran into two people, on a popular hiking trail. Check the weather reports as freeze-out ridge gets very cold in fall, go figure, you could easily get stranded by a snow storm, and no one would find you. This is one of the only areas where the boreal forest extends down into WA from Canada so the wildlife, trees and feel of the place is very different then you might be used to. It is a great spot to tick off the Boreal birds in Washington state. There was a huge fire around here in the summer of 2006 and I haven't been back since so I don't know how bad the damage was.

Also as a solo woman I've had lots of bike shops treat me like an idiot/make me feel like I don't belong, and they made me feel super welcome, gave great ride recs, and even gave me tips for things to try with my personal bike back home. Seriously a highlight of my quick trip! Oh and the bike was awesome, and 80$ for full suspension for a day is even cheaper than the shops back home in OR.

I live in San Francisco CA where the gyms are…read more$19-$30 a month with TRX, standard CrossFit equipment, top of the line assisted weight and free weights and cardio equipment no older than 2016. I won't even mention the spa, sauna, pool, hot tubs, ocean views etc...PLUS free access to all of thier other gyms. Don't believe me, check out 24hr Fitness Daly City, CA. Or Fitness 19 Daly City, CA (all 5 miles from the ocean) Fitness 19 not only offers free weights machines and cardio equipment, but also unlimited Zumba classes for $19.99. Now, I know they have staff to pay and make a living I understand that. And I know what you're thinking, that's California, well stick with me here I'll get to my point. I went into NCAC for a basic free weights and cardio equipment membership I was excited as it was finally listed at a reasonable price 3 months for $61. I figured hey that's $20.35+/- a month I'll just pay it up front and I'll get a membership for my mom and my grandparents. I have had memberships at this gym periodically over the years ('02 BULLDOGS!!!) and I know how the equipment looks and overall state of the NCAC. I never felt it was worth paying what they were asking, but they monopolize it and capitalize on it. I get that. They are the only gym that offers racquetball, tennis courts etc... When he told me the total ($230+/-)and that it was $61 a month (just free weights and machines) my jaw about hit the floor in laughter. How come the basic member (free weights/machine) gets gouged so badly? I asked and he said well it's the population, to my understanding very few people in this area are able to afford $61mo. He continued to tell me they were the only ones who have CrossFit and Tennis Courts. I'm not asking for a membership for those things so why am I going to pay such a steep price for basic equipment usage? Why not lower the Average Joe rate for the basic equipment, honestly you make more money in VOLUME of members. Unfortunately, they lost out on 4 new members. At that price I said, "I'd rather be fat". It doesn't make sense to me. It's just bad business. I was informed that there is this place called 'The Zone' down town Omak open 24 hours so I will be checking them out next. My advice to NCAC, smarter pricing, know your population/market. Why should customers pay BMW prices when you're just giving them a Volvo.
