I've been coming to ARA for over a decade now. This last weekend would've been my fourth visit. I…read morestumbled upon them while taking a class at New Mexico Tech and loved it so much that I have since brought back my husband, a friend, and recently my daughter. Dacodah, Jill, and the whole crew at ARA make you feel at home. Like you're family. The horses are top-notch and amazingly surefooted and confident, even when the rider is not. The staff are wonderfully kind and knowledgeable and patiently teach everything from horsemanship to knot tying. This is far from a boring nose to tail trail ride. As experienced riders it can be challenging to find a place that allows you to go faster than a walk. This past weekend we probably went the fastest we ever have gone on horses... Full gallop on Arabians is amazing! Over the course of three days we did five separate rides! Beyond the flat out gallops we also had lots of challenging canters on varied terrain, splashed in the river, night rides, plus technical climbs and descents in the canyon and were rewarded with beautiful vistas. They truly have something for everyone...from someone who has never been on a horse before to the experienced rider. You will have the time of your life at ARA. We flew all the way out from Florida just to come ride here for the weekend. Another amazing experience. Thank you Jill and Dacodah!

There is 1 vid of the wild horses and all you can see is helmet and hair, no faces It's on our FB page" Roughly Thirty five minutes after my message I see said video and it shows my daughters profile my response was "I did look at it and side of my oldest s face is visible could you please trim and repost" No response back. Thankfully it appears they took it down completely. Ten outta ten do not recommend. Save your money fine a different trail ride. I'm out over $500 for a nightmare ride and potentially exposed to hantavirus. There are other reviews that touch on the ego and abrasive behavior.

I had to think about how to write this review because there is so much to say. When you are…read moretraveling with your horses and need a layover, this place is a gem. We were tired hauling horses from KY to N. CA. Got in midnight. Susan, might sound rough to some, but she is first class with first class treatment and taste. Her stalls are immaculate and safe. She bedded the stalls very heavily (I told her I thought she should use less and let people pay for more). The ranch has a big arena for turnout. This said, the HIGHLIGHT was her BEAUTIFUL COMFORTABLE BUNK HOUSE. OMG. Two bedrooms with the most comfortable adjustable beds! I couldn't believe it. I thought my back would be broken from driving. Broken M Ranch the rooms have such wonderful touches. The places (more than one bunk house) are so romantic. Ours house had a big kitchen. Big rooms, real bottles of shampoo and conditioner, FOOD: SNACKS, MILK, EGGS, COFFEE. Seriously, I wished I lived closer because I would honestly stay here to get away. The houses have electric fireplaces. There are so many personal touches throughout the bunkhouses. You might pay a little more, Stalls are $45 a night. It is worth it. If you can, you should stay here and not a hotel. I have stayed in many 4-5 star hotels, I would pick Susans 2 bedroom bunkhouse. We paid $125 a night. OH, our horse got sick. It was Saturday and the main vet was off. Susan called and he came. OUr horse was taken to the local vet hospital and given 20 liters of fluid. She is ready to go. This is just a great place to come she travelling. Worth the money in my opinion. Just edited this review because I saw the other review about boarding that gave one star. Every equestrian facility I know has a 30-day policy. The policy is for people -possibly like the other reviewer- who might leave without paying. People get turned away if a barn is full. If someone is leaving, they need to give notice. Also, it costs a ton of money to keep a facility running for horses. Most small barns try to absorb he costs for the boarders. If you do not own a facility, then you just may have no concept of expenses, hiring help, fixing things, etc. It is getting harder and harder to find good places because people are difficult to deal with and it's expensive to keep operating.

The Broken M Ranch was very cozy for the horses and my family! Very much felt at home. Big roomy…read morestalls and snacks provided.
