We were allowed to bring in our own snacks and drinks (wine) and a table was provided for us to set up these items. A few weeks prior to the event, we were instructed to choose our design, size, color/stain palette, etc. (I'm not sure if this is the case for every group who attends an event here) - this made our event flow very nicely! Our signs and stencils were already pre-sorted for us and labeled with our names. We had two young ladies helping us with our projects and they were very patient with the not-so-crafty members of the group. Even as a self-proclaimed "terrible craftsman", my end result turned out perfect! The Framery hosts weekly group events and would make for a fun networking activity or just friends night out. For those unfamiliar with Charley Harper, he was a famous artist who trained and did a lot of his work in the Cincinnati area. A lot of his work focused on wildlife and was done in a modernist style. This location carried a wide variety of products in Charley Harper and the Harper Family art line. In addition to some beautiful prints, there were also items like puzzles, ornaments, stationary, and a lot more. We spent a lot of time just looking at everything. It wasn't hard to locate - as soon as you walk through the door, there are floor to ceiling framed prints to check out. In addition to Charley Harper's work, we also saw a number of Edie Harper (his wife)'s work too. This is a good place to go if you are a Charley Harper fan or if you are shopping for one. Framemaker Gallery does incredible, high quality, custom work. I've known Crystal for a long, long…read moretime. She has been an artist, and a great one, as long as I can remember. When I learned she took over the business from John I knew this would be the place to take my old man's cherished Beetles records to be mounted. I'm not the creative type and so gave Crystal full license to do what she does best. They came out better than I could have ever imagined. I knew I wanted them mounted but also preserved from physical and UV damage. The museum glass was well worth the cost as it doesn't even look like there is a pane in the frame. They're mounted in such a way that neither the records nor sleeves were altered in any way and are fully usable down the road should. I can't really put in words just how great the finished product is, and pictures just don't do the work justice.
