Frame & Save saved my life! Well... at least my career. I've been creating art every single day for nearly 11 years, and my career is finally taking off in a big way. I had a very large (48"x60") painting with an existing custom frame (3" in each direction). And I had a once in a lifetime opportunity this coming weekend... all I have to do is get the painting to Utah. The problem is that the frame was cheaply made in Mexico (where I was previously living), and it barely made the move to Ohio.... There is no way that you could ship this thing, or even drive it. Not to mention, the gaps that existed between the various pieces of the frame looked horrible as you looked at it from up close. This was simply embarrassing, as it's going to the highest profile client I've ever had in my life. Literally, this is everything I've been working for... I had the right painting, the right client, but the frame was in bad shape... and I had extremely little time to do anything about it. I called Frame & Save, and tried to explain... They gave me the owner's cell phone, and I texted a quick video. She said that it's an easy fix, come on in. They were friendly, helpful, and got my frame fixed up in just a few short hours. I've got to say-- their name is not misleading. I almost felt that I was taking advantage of them, because the price was so low! This is my new place for framing! If you follow any of my reviews, this is the follow up I promised from the review of Michaels. Frame and save is the place to go. I had a painting on canvas rolled up that needed to be "stretched" and mounted on a wood frame. This is the kind of art that wraps around the structure and doesn't need a more formal frame. So Frame and save did a great job on my painting for less than half the price Michaels (around the corner) quoted me. The framers were friendly and helped to find framing solutions & making recommendations. The work was done in one week which is pretty good for most frame shops. I dropped the painting off when they opened on Black Friday and the following Friday I had it in my home. Finally, it is nice to support a local business! read more

I've visited Frame and Save in Hyde Park twice for framing work. Trust these ladies - the work is worth ever penny! Each time I entered thinking I knew what I wanted in terms of style or layout, and each time the first idea Francesca had - despite me taking 40mins to indulge every other permutation of color and texture I could think of - was always the best! Very helpful, very patient, and right on in the end. I'll also add that one of my jobs was not a traditional framing, but involved hanging dried roses within a frame. These guys are true experts! I recently came here to get a very delicate piece of antique cloth framed. The attendants immediately knew how to best frame and care for the piece- from recommending the correct UV resistant glass, to discreetly sewing it on to an acid-free cotton backing. One of the best parts is that they look at your piece with an artistic frame of mind. They walked me through frame and matte colors, always having a keen eye for what would look good. This is the best place to go for framing! I have had multiple items framed and the finished product is always such high quality. Marianne and everyone that works there is so nice and has such helpful suggestions. And I have always found them to be much cheaper than Michael's (even with a coupon). The most recent piece I had framed was for a local school auction and they did a custom matte and frame for the student artwork. It turned out perfect!
