She tried to excuse the delay by revealing another patient's medical information, which is a clear HIPAA violation. I then waited another 20 minutes before seeing the PA. Meghan had given them the wrong diagnosis, and the appointment felt rushed and disorganized. Staff seemed unfamiliar with my medical history even though I provided it in full twice. The whole experience was unprofessional, poorly managed, and raised serious concerns about patient privacy.

I spoke with patient liaison and it was clarified that it is not an appointment time you are booking online in advance but a reservation (check-in time): which is to say is the same as showing up in person (first come, first serve basis). This should be explained better as it is misleading when you pick a time/future date (even days later in advance) that you will get first preference. So at this point I will never use their system for future time slots but use it as a guide to how many currently are in line. The website business location page will indicate X-ray services available but beware no X-ray techs may be available (only on certain days at different locations). You will need to call location directly to confirm or call customer service center at 888-381-4858 to see if an X-ray technician is there that day or where one may be located.

The doctor was extremely rude, had no bedside manner, and was more forceful than he needed to be while assessing an injury. The X-ray tech forcefully moved my foot into position, which hurt more than the injury itself and probably exacerbated it. The person (nurse? who knows) who brought me an airboot said "I hope this is the right size" and then walked away. They wrote the wrong limb down in their notes (I know, right vs. left is hard), the doctor kept getting the names of bones wrong, and honestly I would've been better staying off at home and waiting to see a doctor worth their salt on Monday morning. I'm not sure they didn't make the injury worse jerking my foot over and over again for the X-rays. Dude should stick to X-raying inanimate objects that can't feel pain. On top of that, they make it absolutely impossible to get your own medical records. They can't figure out how to use their own portal, won't (or can't) upload it to their own portal, have difficulty receiving fax requests, etc. etc. etc. Given this, the only way to get it is in person, which is difficult when you can't drive or walk. Pretty depressing when you can't even get access to your own images after suffering at the hands of an inept X-ray tech and bumbling doctor.

She brought their paperwork in, and I quickly read it, noting the pharmacy was CVS. I couldn't believe my eyes. Really? It's in the online paperwork for all three sons, I told them, and they put CVS? They said they would correct this immediately but they didn't. My husband showed up to Walgreens, where they refused to fill it because the prescriptions had been sent to a CVS. Naturally, our insurance won't cover it. Both pharmacies are currently closed for lunch, so we are unsure how to proceed. Another troubling note--there was no medical history taken at this Urgent Care. One of my sons is an epileptic and is on many anti-convulsants. Not that they knew this.
