Told me they would open at 1PM, So if you have 1PM schedules, just make sure to know they have lunch breaks. The office was clean and cool. You have to log in using an iPad, it took about 3 minutes to fill out the check -in process. Everything on their website is really easy to understand. It's a quick and efficient shop. I paid for $47 for my TB test. The TB test itself was good, just a pin-prick and my nurse, Kristy/Christy was really nice and welcoming. I would say this is a good place to go for quick medical tests. They do other things like Xrays and pre employment physicals. It's on a busy road, and I missed a good parking spot. It's really easy to miss, so make sure you know your way. There is a train station across and maybe you could park on that side.

The man tried to tell me I have a brain aneurysm, and that I needed a CT scan and spinal tap ON SITE, when I have NONE of the symptoms of a brain aneurysm, just because I said I'm having the worst headache of my life. If he looked at my symptoms, he would've known it was from coughing, blowing my nose too much, and laying down too much. The fact that the headache had resolve with pain reliever medicine such as Tylenol should've been an indication for him it's not a brain aneurysm, but he goes on to talk about worse case scenarios and completely freaked me out. I just wanted antibiotics for a sinus infection. Total waste of time and money. Never again.

You would think that a subscription service would at least try to minimize your out of pocket by taking a look at your insurance and suggesting which appointment type to book under.

I highly recommend Dr. Sach Takhar. He has such a lovely, calm and engaging manner - even in moments of crisis...sliced finger! He was able to see me within 30 minutes of my "accident" and was gentle in his treatment, brilliantly distracting me with conversation. His care enabled me to fly internationally, as planned, within less than 24 hours. He made time to see me the following week to check on the healing and am so grateful to Dr. Takhar - my finger has healed like brand new! Free parking along the entire street also makes things so convenient. Grateful One Medical exists and that they have such amazing teams at both their San Mateo and Burlingame locations.

He actually listens. He was the only one who helped me and really cared when I had sepsis. I trust him implicitly. He is a great communicator and I deeply respect him and his knowledge. He is open and willing to try different approaches. I have been his patient for many years and moved three hours away and I still drive to see him when needed. I have switched other doctors to my local area, but once you find someone who is that good, like Dr. Chen, you never switch and drive as many hours as required. Despite this, we kept receiving bills and even threats to send our account to collections. I called the billing office repeatedly--almost daily--to understand why the secondary insurance had not paid, only to later discover that PAMF never billed the primary insurance first as required. It took many phone calls with representative from both insurance and the billing stuff and a great deal of stress to resolve something that should have been handled correctly from the start. This has been a very frustrating and time-consuming experience, and I hope PAMF can improve their billing communication and coordination in the future.

I arrived in severe pain and they quickly diagnosed an impacted colon. It is a humble, small community hospital. Nothing fancy. But my care was speedy and excellent. I live in the Seattle area and my local hospital has art work, a meditation garden, a Starbucks, upholtered furniture in the lobby, a lobby fire place and even a grand piano with a variety of pianists playing calming selections. It is very nice but none of that mattered when I was in so much pain. The staff at San Mateo are equal in quality to my fancy Seattle area hospital. From check in to diagnosis to treatment to discharge was six hours. They took great care of me and I am glad I gave them a try. Lots of spanish speaking patients and staff also as a plus.

At least it was not the extreme overcharge of the first two attempts. Luckily I had my husband's correct bill for reference. Very glad this office is just for after hours care. Would not want to deal with their billing department on a regular basis. The first two times they sent the incorrect billing, I called them and explained their mistake. Each time they waited several months, and instead of sending me a correct bill, they sent a collection agency warning letter. Then I called them again and explained again. Each the very polite offshore customer service representative said all would be well. Finally the third time the billing was close enough to correct that I was willing to pay it.

I went to the clinic twice in the same day, first as a walk-in and later with a scheduled appointment. On my second visit, I waited for over 70 minutes and received no meaningful update about when I would be seen. Eventually, I had no choice but to leave. What was most disappointing was the receptionist's attitude. She appeared friendly and attentive to some patients, while being noticeably dismissive and rude toward others. As a patient, it is frustrating to feel ignored and treated differently, especially when already dealing with a health concern. Waiting can happen in healthcare settings, and most patients understand that. However, there is a big difference between unavoidable delays and poor communication combined with a lack of respect. After 70 minutes, I could have gone to another urgent care clinic and received treatment elsewhere. Patients deserve to be treated with courtesy, professionalism, and respect. Unfortunately, that was not my experience today. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works to improve both customer service and communication with patients.
