Having quite a bit of firearm experience I was skeptical that it was going to be geared for people who had never shot before and be super restricted. Our host and safety officer was Mikey. Really nice guy and a fellow veteran. He did a great job of balancing range safety and the firearm experience of the guest. He was knowledgeable in the safe operation of the weapons and made the experience fun and safe without being over restricted. I recommend Battlefield Vegas to experienced and new shooters alike. If you have never fired a gun before this is a must while in Vegas, they really let you enjoy the experience while keeping it very safe!

You go in expecting a real shooting-range experience, but that is not what it feels like. An employee is assigned to you and does nearly everything: loads the rounds into the magazines, inserts and reloads the magazines, handles the weapon, and rushes you through the process. The only thing left for you to do is pull the trigger. You can clearly feel the pressure to fire your rounds quickly so they can move on to the next tourists. Our group of five paid about $500 total for two weapons per person, with only around 5-10 rounds per weapon. The entire experience was over in under 10 minutes. My advice: find a real indoor shooting range instead. You'll get far more time, freedom, and value for your money. Don't waste your time or money here.

He was polite and respectful the entire time but also firmly in control of the situation for safety. 10/10 great experience for both my wife and myself. We each did the pick your poison package so we each got to choose three different firearms and we added the m249 SAW at the end (Try the Tommy Gun)

A 5-star experience yesterday at American Shooters!…read more I stopped by around noon on a random Monday afternoon to practice and shoot this month's GSSF Indoor League Match. I entered through the gun store side and was immediately greeted. When I walked over to the range side, I was welcomed again right away. I checked in, completed the waiver, and explained that I was there for the GSSF Indoor League Match but wanted to practice a bit first. They took my ID, assigned me a lane, made sure I had eyes and ears on, and sent me out to the range. After about 10-15 minutes, a Range Officer came over, introduced himself as my assigned officiant for the match, and started setting up in the lane next to me. I told him I was still practicing and would need about 20 more minutes. He said that was no problem and just to let him know when I was ready. I shot all five divisions, and the match went off without a hitch. The staff handled everything for me--registration, score sheets, labeling, hanging targets, and setting the different distances. It was a true 5-star chaperoned shooting experience. I really love the "come anytime during the month and we'll run you through the course of fire" model. Can't wait for Round 3 next month!

Since February I have spent approximately 3K on a Sig p226 legion X Carry, the optic and ammo…read more About three months ago a woman manager released a gun that I had purchased and sent to the store to someone else. When I went in to get the gun after getting a proceed, she released it to another person who was also doing a transfer. Big difference from the pistol I was getting, a LTT Langdon PX4, and the pistol the otheran was a getting, a smith 2.0. Thank goodness the guy brought the gun back and everything was good I purchased a plain sig 226 and it was sent to Discount Firearms. It has been there for 10 days and no call. I went in and was told there were guns in the back and no one was processing these in until the managers came back into town. Really. WTF!!! I did not realize no guns were moving or at least my guns were not moving. I guess they just do not care or do not have enough people to work the floor and work the back. So the next new gun I will purchase will not be from them, too many problems. Guns purchased through Gunbroker have a 3bor 5 day period to accept the gun or not. Those times have elaspsed. Live and learn.

I had a very uncomfortable and disrespectful experience at Discount Firearms & Ammo…read more I walked in genuinely interested in purchasing a firearm for personal protection and presented my valid Nevada Real ID. Before anyone even asked what firearm I was interested in or explained the purchasing process, an employee wearing a cap immediately focused on my immigration documentation after hearing my Spanish accent. I placed my Real ID on the counter, but he would not even take or examine it and told me to put it back. Another employee, a man with a very long beard reaching down toward his stomach, then became involved. His tone was loud, confrontational, and disrespectful. At one point he asked whether I was Mexican simply because I spoke Spanish. I told him that speaking Spanish does not mean I am from Mexico and explained that I am from Costa Rica. I understand that federal and Nevada firearm laws may require permanent residents to provide additional immigration information or documentation during an actual firearm transfer. That was not my problem. My problem was the way I was treated. No one calmly explained the requirement. No one even took the time to look at my Real ID, show me a firearm, discuss what I was looking for, or simply say, "You can look today, and when you return with the additional document we can complete the transaction." Instead, the interaction became unnecessarily hostile. Based on the way the conversation changed immediately after they heard my accent and the questions directed at me about being Mexican, I personally felt racially/ethnically profiled. I have rarely experienced this kind of treatment in a business. A firearms store has every right and responsibility to follow the law. Customers also deserve to be treated professionally and respectfully while those requirements are being explained. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.
