Hey ...! I just wanted to express that I'm so grateful for my experience while earning my…read moreesthetician license at YSBC. The staff was incredibly patient and supportive throughout my entire journey. They never made me feel rushed or discouraged, and truly helped me grow both professionally and personally. A very special thank you to the Director and one of my instructors, Mrs. P, her encouragement helped make all the difference. Highly recommend to anyone considering esthetics!

I got a relaxer last time, but this time my hair was (mostly) natural and I wanted to keep it that way. I requested a natural hair process of wash, dry, and trim. I had a style picture sample to show them too. My stylist (Tranise? Denise? Raynisa?)was more of a novice in need of supervision this time than my previous stylist, who was mostly there to accrue hours. She was friendly and approachable. As with my last service, I paid FIRST, word of warning to those who go. Not sure what the return/exchange policy is there for very unsatisfied customers. The atmosphere was upbeat and supportive, with my signs encouraging smiling and positivity. There seemed to be the same supply issues, however, of equipment missing, misplaced, or unavailable. I was told a diffuser would be used to keep my curl while drying, but no one seemed to have one. After a mishap or two (too much product, had to rinse it out) I was placed under the dryer but no additional conditioner was applied to my hair. I should have requested it but really should I have to? I got some good advice on maintenance, and I got the style that I wanted too. When I am more comfortable handling my hair I will go back, maybe bring some equipment/product just in case.

Troy is a phenomenal LSAT tutor. He's kind, patient, flexible, focused, and easy to work with. I…read morecould see him working well with any sort of personality type/tutoring goal. My best general advice about studying for the LSAT after trying prep classes (with Blueprint), individual studying (with PowerScore) & tutoring with Troy: invest in a good tutor. You'll get lots of individualized hours and someone keeping you on track for the same cost as a rapidly paced, standardized prep course. If you're successfully self-studying, investing in at least a few hours of tutoring for your most difficult subjects will help you quickly improve. You'll likely find there's value in receiving further tutoring. Troy walks you through questions step-by-step, catches you when you're making mistakes, and helps you understand why to approach certain questions in a certain way, which cuts down on time spent repeatedly getting the same kids of questions. His methods are demystifying. I sought out Troy after beginning self-studying logic games and eventually (quickly) hitting a wall. I could just barely figure out how to set up games using the and couldn't understand how to interpret those setups in order to derive answers. Within about 5 hours (spread over 5 days), Troy taught me how to set up a variety of types of games and accurately answer questions. We've moved on to logical reasoning material and I'm finding his approach to be just as helpful as in logic games.

Troy was very knowledgeable and patient. I have been studying for the lsat for a year now and…read morehadn't seen a huge change. Troy was flexible with his schedule which was so convenient. He listened to me solving a problem so he could see where my thought process was and was able to correct me. It made me slow down and really change the way I was processing things. I'm confident that with the skills Troy gave me putting them to practice will increase my accuracy. Thank you again Troy I appreciate all of your help!!
