So I cancel the service and website and he says.. oh.. there are no refunds for the website. Can you believe that. He doesn't make my website and says.. opps.. we didn't sign a contract but.. if we had... you would have seen the no refund policy. Now come on Michael... do you really think I would sign a contract with a "no refund policy" if you didn't do what you were supposed to do. Now.. Let's talk about the lost to my company. First there is the waiting for four plus months and he still never launched nor did I have access. Secondly, I purchased programs that were needed for the site that I paid monthly for that I never got to use. Now the big one... I have to take this guy to court just to get my money back. I hired a guy two weeks ago and I am already on-line with more done then Visceral Concepts did in four months. Don't go to him if you want good service. He started out okay but got money hungry and didn't do what he promised. If you want a great web design.. let me know.. I have a real one now. Don't hire this guy.. he doesn't know what he is doing.

It took us 2 years (of our 3-year contract) to unwind the mess they made and terminate the agreement. I have family in the IT hardware business and he was quick to recommend WaveTech, specifically JR Harris, as they use them for jobs beyond their internal skill sets. From the initial consultation and walk-through, JR's passion for his profession was clear. It was a LONG process getting to know each other, from an organizational standpoint, further complicated by us purchasing a new server, as well. It was not only onboarding, but installing a new server on which we were migrating and virtualizing our existing servers, then setting up network securities for the entire organization of 65 people. To me, this sounds extremely complicated - for JR and his crew, all in a day's work. Every question posed was answered promptly and thoroughly. Things i did not understand were detailed in layman's terms to ensure we knew for what we were paying. The process is finally complete and, most impressive, they stuck to budget and beat their timelines. I was constantly receiving emails and text messages after hours and on weekend from JR - you do NOT receive this level of service anywhere these days. It's been a long road for us in the IT world and we've learned some expensive lessons along the way. We're confident we've found a long term partner in WaveTech.

They profess to be ethical - but were acting unethically. When we moved our account to another provider we never had the issues again. According to the new provider Be Structured had the configurations wrong causing our system to crash. When we were crashing why didn't they do everything they could to fix it? It appears it was outside the competency of their technicians. They caused us thousands of dollars in lost revenue. This experience was one of the worst we have had in our 20 years in business.

I do not recommend this company in any way, shape or form. The cost was high, the quality was beyond poor and the system never really worked right. It's been a few years now, and I happened to come across this firm on Yelp and still felt the need to expose them. That's how bad my experience was. I do see some good reviews, but they're all related to computer issues so perhaps Genus won't completely screw you there. As for security systems, run away! First of all, the equipment installed was outdated nearly as soon as it was installed. Secondly, the installers seemed to be guys hired off the street w/o any skill level which lead to a very poor install. Thirdly, the customer service is horrible as when I brought my legitimate complaints to Mike Mora, he refused to work with me to resolve them. The funny thing is that we didn't go with the lowest bid, in part, to avoid some of these issues. Bottom line: Do not use and/or trust Genus or Mike Mora.

No shop to be seen. I text him confused asking where his shop is or if he is even around..I receive a call from him and he says he'll be there in 10-15 minutes. He was getting a massage...lol. So, at this point I'm already annoyed cause I thought it was an actually store where I could just drop my computer off and then leave to pick it up after it's done. A red flag should've gone off for me there and I should have left but I stick around and wait 20-25 minutes before he finally arrives. I bring my rig into his garage and tell him it has a BSOD and it's crashing constantly. He plugs it in turns it on to see the error it was giving. Literally didn't even ru any tests and says my ram or my graphics card is bad. WHICH I ALREADY KNEW. I then tell him so if that's the case I shouldn't even bother taking it here I should fix it myself since I have spare parts at home. I mean who wants to spend extra money if it's not needed? After I decide to tell him I'll try to fix it myself, he starts pressuring me and asks me: "why don't you wanna leave it here for me to fix it?" Honestly, I didn't feel comfortable anymore. His garage workstation was small, I saw no tools, and he just had a bunch of parts lying around. It was not a professional setting at all. I mean he had to throw aside parts he had lying around just to clear space for me to set my rig down.. So before I was able to take my rig and go, since I decided it would be best to take it else where, he tells me I gotta pay him for "diagnosing" my computer. At this point I am really upset, cause all he did was turn my computer on and let it crash. He didn't do anything special or work on my computer AT ALL. I agree since at this point I just want to leave and get my computer fixed. I don't have cash, and he's not able to take cards since its not an actual shop. I try to venmo him but it doesn't go through and this is where it gets heated. After several attempts it doesn't work cause my venmo account isn't linked to my checkings (changed banks recently). I assumed he felt like I wasn't going to pay so he proceeds to get in my face and call me a scammer/scam artist and says that I'm not gettting my computer back unless I pay him the 20 dollars I owe him. After that I decided I didn't even want to pay him for the time and how shitty he was treating me so I called the cops since he wasn't releasing my property to me. In between while waiting for the officer to arrive his neighbors walk by and he starts to bash me to his neighbors telling them I was trying to scam him and I'm shady this and that. The entirety of waiting for the officer he DID NOT STOP TRASH TALKING me, he even recorded me and called his friends on me when all I did was stand there and wait for the officer. The officer arrives and we both give our statements, the officer decides I have to pay him. So to be in good will I do, but I had to drive to the bank to withdraw money cause he all of a sudden didn't want to take venmo from my friend since it would be faster but instead he wanted cash only. I'm sure he did it out of spite to waste my time. I wish I recorded the events to post here and share what he really was like towards me, but I was scared and it didn't occur to me to do so. So please I warn everyone, take your business elsewhere. Daniel has horrible customer service and he definitely doesn't not know how to treat them as such.

Computer had not been used for a couple of years and would not get on Internet or print. Prior to service, Brad quoted me the repair price which was reasonable. He picked up computer and called 2 days later it's done. He brought it back, set it up.... And remotely the same day he fixed the computer/printer connection due to the fact he had another appt he had to rush off too... It has been a week later and everything is working great.
