Somewhat ironically I've lost Computer Finder! On a recent trip to City Road I noticed that they had hand painted the hoarding with a notice telling us that they have moved location, and that we should call their existing number for details. I haven't!
It all seems a little illogical! Why go to the trouble of writing that they've moved with instructions to phone them, instead of just writing up the new address so that we can simply go there without any fuss? I was simply looking for a USB lead for my printer (Epsom sell them without!?), as I had been borrowing my friends lead since buying my new printer a couple of months ago, and somewhat understandably he wanted it back. I couldn't be bothered to go through the rigmarole of calling to find the new address, especially with Jazz Computers and NT World only a minutes walk up the road. Yes, Computer Finder sell very cheap 2nd user kit alongside a few new consumables and peripherals, but when you are looking for something as small as a lead it simply wasn't worth the bother of finding the new location - it would have cost me more in time and petrol to go somewhere else.
The only explanations that I can come up with for not supplying the new address is that they no longer rent a commercial property and are perhaps working from home these days...? Or perhaps they are waiting to officially open the new premises, and so don't want to redirect us to a closed store...? I don't know...! But I love the hand painted sign! read more
