I've been a patient at this doctor's office for many years, even before they moved to their current…read morelocation. I trusted the doctor and appreciated their care. However, after being healthy for three years and not needing to visit, I was surprised and disappointed to learn that they had canceled me as a patient. I now have to re-establish myself as a new patient, which comes with additional costs. They still have all my charts and history, so it was hard to understand why this was necessary. They told me that is the standard practice across the industry, but this affirms that healthcare providers are only in it for the money now, not customer service or patient care. I'm deeply saddened to know that this practice is more focused on squeezing every dollar out of you than on the health and long-term care of their patients.

I had been looking for a doctor's office that was close to my home, and I found the Family Medicine…read morePlus office was in-network in my insurance and accepting new patients. I had my routine annual physical done, then some time later I came in because I suspected that I was having a gout flare up, but that had never been diagnosed. The office ran a blood test to test for uric acid, based on which I was diagnosed with gout prescribed a couple of medications. I never had a good feeling while visiting the office -- the staff felt brusque at best, so I decided to switch my PCP to a doctor that a friend recommended. Then more than a year ago, I receive letters in the mail claiming that I had a balance from a doctor's visit. The name of the patient was not me, nor my wife, but had my same last name. I had already discontinued going to Family Medicine Plus for over 2 years. I was forced to call the office to find out why they were sending the bill to the wrong party. The office manager claimed that it would be fixed, however, I received additional mail attempting to claim the balance, and I was forced to call once again. Then, this morning, I received another call from a random number in California claiming that I had a balance from a visit in May. So, I had to call again. The office manager claimed that no one was attached to my account and that I had no balance. I wanted to know why I'm still getting these calls and wanted to make sure that no damage was being done to my credit. She insisted that everything had been fixed, and said she would loop in Dr. Hastings, before abruptly hanging up. I waited 5 minutes before writing this review, but the staff and this office acts as if doing their job (for which they are paid) is akin to doing you a favor.

The phlebotomy staff clearly lack training or skill and cant find a simple large vein so she literally dug around in my arm while the needle was inside it. I was left in pain after multiple failed attempts to draw blood. Their internal processes are equally disorganized; for example, I was instructed to park in front for COVID testing, only to later be told it should have been in the back and then when I was aggravated by the whole process and said something that wasnt warm and fuzzy I am the bad guy. I AM THE CUSTOMER which is something this place seems to forget. It seems time a patient speaks up or questions their inconsistent procedures, the staff become defensive rather than accountable. Healthcare should prioritize professionalism and patient experience, yet this team seems to value convenience and ego over competence and compassion. It's no surprise they're tied to a low-tier HMO network. The entire operation -- from front desk to clinical care -- feels like a "B-team" operation masquerading as a medical practice. Patients deserve better.

He is also not very good at diagnosing his patients. When I got inside at one minute after appointment he told the receptionist to tell me that he wouldn't take me. This place is so unprofessional. I despise it and I had a broken ankle.
