Prior to CHBS, my child was in other typical American preschool/k, and no one knew if the kids had BM, or a nap, no daily report, nothing. CHBS gives you a daily report of your children's day- about the nap, bathroom use, noticeable events, growth, etc. I have many books of our daily correspondence between us and CHBS which will be a treasure for me for years to come. I would highly recommend CHBS. Of note- I am from Japan and I can say with confidence they are so kichin to shiteru.

With that said,…read moreit was very difficult for me to speak to my kids solely in Japanese when their dad doesn't speak the language. Enter Cedar Hill Bilingual School (CHBS). Once my kids started at CHBS, their Japanese language skill sky rocketed. My 4 year old went from somewhat understanding what I was saying to him in Japanese, to being able to speak to me in Japanese 100%. He also learned to read and write during his time there. I also have to say the quality of the teachers and program are top notch. You cannot find a better daycare than this one.

I had a wonderful experience with Alanna as Noah's tutor this summer. She was always punctual,…read morerespectful, reliable, and an excellent communicator. From the beginning, she was patient, kind, and caring with Noah, which made him feel comfortable and excited to learn. Alanna has a wonderful way of connecting with children while still keeping them engaged and focused. Noah truly enjoyed his time with her and became very fond of her. As a parent, I really appreciated her professionalism, consistency, positive attitude, and the care she showed him. We are very grateful to have had Alanna as Noah's tutor this summer, and I would highly recommend her to any family looking for someone dependable, caring, and dedicated to their child's learning. This is a nice, moderately-sized campus that is pleasant to explore if you are in Lowell. It has…read moreenough of an open feel to seem like you're taking a leisurely stroll while milling about. The architecture is nice enough given that it is a campus that is not as old as many, especially amongst those Universities in New England. The Saab Emerging Technologies and Innovation Building is a highlight, which is visible to your left as you cross the river into campus. Cumnock Hall with its columned front is another. Though I did not have time to take advantage of it, there is an Art Gallery on campus for those with such proclivities. The campus is not worth going out of your way to see, but if you happen to be in Lowell anyway...why not? There is a Starbucks on campus and a Dunkin across the street on the north end to reward you with a coffee and treat for your trouble.

It's a cheap school. You get what you paid for. The professors don't really know what they're doing…read morebecause good teachers apply to other schools that pay better, so umass lowell ends up only hiring desperate people who couldn't get a job anywhere else. The good news is that you don't have to work very hard here if you only care about the degree rather than the quality of education. The bad news is the professors are kind of jerks.

She was very willing to teach me the basics using my machine, and she charged at a very reasonable class rate. She provided patterns and fabric. I finished making an snazzy apron yesterday!!! I love how it turned out! I feel very comfortable with using my machine and venturing out with other material types and stitches. Lately, I have been spending time after work into the late hours just to practice with some simple projects. It's addictive to make and create! I highly recommend her if you are looking to learn how to sew with the basics. She can provide a sewing machine or you can bring your own; it's your preference. She has 3 sewing machines available to learn on. She's very patient and friendly and has great ideas! If interested in learning basic sewing, shoot her an email: dlacai06@yahoo.com to see what she has for availability, etc. It's "Sew" Fun! :P
