He talked about me to his assistant as if I wasn't even in the same room, asking her why I had this extra test done with an attitude of me wasting his time. All he had to do was look at it. Then during my exam, I kid you not, he literally just flipped a few lenses back and forth and preceded to tell ME which ones I saw more clearly when I was struggling. I had eye surgery a few years ago in my right eye and still see things a little distorted, plus cataract surgery in both at an early age so I am protective of my eyes even more so. Then when I went back almost a week later to pick up my glasses and I put them on I couldn't even see out of them. She appreciated my understanding and took them back to the lab and came back out telling me she found out what happened. Unfortunately, I would have to return later to get them. Ok, no problem things happen. Almost a week later I returned to pick them up. No one sat down with me to see how they fit or if everything was alright. I was handed my glasses and sent on my merry way. Needless to say, I had to return to get them adjusted as they kept sliding down my face. Please understand I was very polite and understanding through this whole ordeal. Even with the cockiness of the eye doctor. But I will NOT be going back and have already told others to never go there. I'm sorry, but they don't have the patient's best interest in mind. I am thankful not everyone had the same experience as I did....so unprofessional. What a shame.

I found a spot and made the hike inside. It's laid out similarly to other Costcos I have patronized and so I had no problem shopping the warehouse for the stuff I like. Checkout moved surprisingly quick with a couple of associates out there scanning stuff ahead of the registers to make things go fast. Overall, a positive experience. It's crowded, bring patience. My best friend lives minutes away from this location so it gave my fiancée and I an excuse to visit. I like this location better than the one in Mason. They seem to have more items. The employees are very helpful and friendly. Plus the parking is easier. We decided to eat lunch first before we shopped. 2 slices of pepperoni pizza, hotdog and drink for only $5.84? My gosh, that is dirt cheap and delicious. The aisles are categorized. The shelves are stocked and organized. I love shopping the refrigerated and frozen section. That's where we get in trouble. Also their wine selection is also solid. I love that each section has samples you can try. If I like it, I'll buy the product. We walked around and ended up spending more than we anticipated. I also applied for the Visa Costco credit card which has a lot of perks and cash back. I can now say that I've joined the Costco bandwagon.

There is actually a Clarkson Eyecare closer to me in Centerville but they seem to book up quickly. Dr. Simmons did my eye exam and it was thorough. I think the exam took about a hour and selecting some frames maybe another 35-45 minutes. The office is a little small with not too many places to wait. When I was choosing my frames, there were other people coming in and they couldn't help because only one lady was available for fittings. I think they could benefit by having additional staff. I saw two ladies working there when I went in along with the eye doctor so three people total. I don't know if that's the norm or just the particular days that I went in. Frame selection is pretty decent. Not as extensive as some places but decent. The worse part about this Clarkson Eyecare seems to be the location. It's a strip mall area, which in itself isn't bad. However, parking seems to be sparse if you want to park anywhere near the eyecare facility. Clarkson also doesn't offer weekend appointments or fittings, which is a negative for working professionals with limited availability. My eyeglasses took about ten days to get which I thought was good. They even texted me when the glasses were ready. I would recommend but I probably would look for other options considering the parking situation. The lady that helped me select my frames and did the fitting was very friendly. The other lady that's usually behind the counter when you arrive, not so much. The doctor was thorough but seemed iffy when you asked about getting a copy of your prescription. I think many of these places make the bulk of their money selling eyeglasses and try to dissuade people from getting eyeglasses online.
