As I…read morewalked in I was greeted by the handsome man with the gorgeous blue eyes.... yes that is correct, I said it. I was looking for a protein powder and a pre-workout supplement just to give me a little more edge and energy to my workouts. After all I am going to my 24hr fitness and my IMT crossfit, therefore I need some nutritional help. The store clerk was friendly and helpful. He answered all my questions as silly as they were such as "I want a protein powder that doesn't taste like a cardboard".... and that is exactly what I got. The store is small but it is filled with products and the store clerk definitely knew what he was talking about. As I was there another customer came in and bought a bunch of stuff such as protein bars, powder and drinks. The parking is easy and it is right next to sports authority, you can't miss it. To me customer service is #1 priority, I would rather drive farther away to get better service. And I believe that this place just hit my number 1 spot for my protein powders. :-) And yes, he was right, the protein powder did not taste like a cardboard!!

It is amazing how many items you find at Verde! They also have their own Kombucha station which makes fresh kombucha for you right then and there! They can also ground coffee beans for you, they also sell eggs!! I really loved Pamela's energy! You can tell how passionate she is about her store and bringing the concept to our community! I am definitely sold on the idea/concept and had to go home with some mushroom coffee and chai tea latte that I cannot wait to try! I also got some bath salts called " Let go" and I'm excited to try it on my next bubble bath! The prices are great even better if you bring your own containers! It is part vegan kitchen, part natural grocery store, and completely full of heart. From the outside you might not expect much, but the second you walk in you can feel the energy. The main guy in the kichen - my man Carlos!! - has so much charisma. Before I even had time to fully look at the menu, he handed me a small sample of their soup of the day. It was warm, flavorful, and honestly so delicious that I was instantly sold! I am not even vegan, but the food completely won me over. Everything tasted fresh, nourishing, and thoughtfully made. I ordered more than I planned to, and I have to admit something funny. I do not have a single picture of what I ate or drank because I literally gulped it down so fast. It was that good. The only photo I managed to take was of the enchiladas, the menu, and of course; Carlos! Everything else disappeared before I even thought about my phone. They also made me a freshly squeezed orange juice, and I watched them use actual oranges right there. No fake juice, no concentrate, just real oranges being squeezed. It tasted fresh and clean. On top of all that, the prices are very reasonable. It feels good to eat something that is both healthy and affordable. The store side is just as charming, with shelves full of natural supplements, spices, snacks, drinks, and little treasures you did not know you needed. Everyone there was so kind, welcoming, and genuinely happy to have customers walk through the door. It ended up being such a fun and unexpected experience for me. I walked in out of curiosity and left with a full stomach and a big smile. Whether you are vegan, vegetarian, or none of the above, I truly recommend stopping by and supporting this spot. Places like this deserve all the love!!

So. I'm still on a mission to find the best lunch options at a supermarket. Whole Foods seems like…read morethe obvious choice. However, once again I was sorely disappointed. Opted for the hot foods and salad bar. The hot foods didn't look too appetizing but the salad bar options were interesting so I went with that. Nicely topped my greens, spinach and kale with an abundance of goodies. Went to get my oil and vinegar (not a fan of bottled dressings) and the olive oil container was empty. Asked no less than FOUR staff to refill the olive oil (all said we have no more) until the final 5th got the olive oil refilled but didn't tell me. Another customer told me it was refilled. WHAT? No way is this acceptable in any world. Honestly, I don't know why this place has 4 stars. Must not be for the food bar. Oh, and containers are all thin flimsy cardboard even for the salads and wet food. Ugh!! I was able to convince the sushi guy to give me a plastic liquid-proof container, hence the 1 star. I shall continue my search for the best supermarket lunch. lol

I wanted something that wasn't a "sugar bomb," so I walked over from my hotel to try the Passion Dragon Smoothie. While these types of health-focused drinks aren't usually my go-to, I found this one incredibly tasty and refreshing. It had a nice bit of crunchiness to it, and the presentation in the glass with fresh mint leaves was fantastic. The outdoor seating area is lovely, with a nice breeze augmented by well-placed fans. They have clearly put a lot of effort into the landscaping and design to disguise the fact that the cafe is situated in the middle of an industrial park parking lot. The interior ambiance is equally impressive. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit.
