Learning BJJ was intimidating to me when I first walked in but after my first class I walked out with a new love. Professor Juan's passion for teaching is evident and his attention to detail is second to none. Professor Seth is a gifted instructor who's caliber of leadership is rare. His love for jiu jitsu is manifested both in how much he devotes himself to his students as well as how he continues to be a student of jiu jitsu himself. Coach April has an amazing ability to coach people of all ages and abilities, and my level of fitness has grown tremendously under her coaching, well beyond my own expectations. Compound fitness is the best gym in the east Cobb area! I have been there since the first day it was open and have not had a single complaint. The coaches and instructors are fantastic and will tend to your specific needs, whether it's working out to get in shape all the way to leaning Brazilian jiu jitsu and self defense they offer it all. They also have an amazing kids jiu jitsu program that I teach along with Professor Juan and a few others. I highly recommend to anyone wanting to try it out to stop by for a free week trial! I have been a member of Compound Fitness basically since they opened in East Cobb, and I can honestly say that it is a great place to train and get yourself in shape. The Brazilian jiu jitsu program is very strong, with a great Professor leading the school, and the cross training, boxing and kickboxing programs are all first class. The family atmosphere will make you want to bring everyone with you, and the facility will make you want to stay. The mats are cleaned several times a day, and safety is taken seriously. I switched over recently from a larger gym and was a little nervous at first but this was the best decision I ever made. The trainers are so friendly and experienced. They really help you achieve your goals. The workouts are tough but really fun. My trainer combines CrossFit with Kickboxing and some weight training . Great new gym in East Cobb Marietta area. Switched over from a larger gym with my trainer. Cross training is never boring! Always something new to do. Kickboxing, weights and kettlebells are worked into the workouts. Such a great family atmosphere. The owners are very experienced and very welcoming. Professor Juan Guevara runs a clean, safe, welcoming academy offering gi, no gi, muay thai, judo, etc. Conveniently located in East Cobb/Marietta he brings +/- 30 years of martial arts experience as a former mma fighter and Pedro Sauer black belt. Very welcoming atmosphere for competitors, hobbyists, kids, etc. I can't recommend enough. read more
