While out and about exploring in West Palm Beach I found this coffee shop. I am always in need of afternoon caffeinated refreshment so I decided to stop and I am so glad I did because this place is a hidden gem. Composition Coffee was founded in 2019 by Joshua Korman as a pop-up espresso bar in the now-closed Elizabeth Ave Station. Their current location in Industry Alley opened in 2021. Walking up to Composition Coffee you go through their outdoor patio where you can sit at tables. Inside is industrial chic which channels the former warehouse that this used to be. Hanging plants and exposed brick bring add charm to the otherwise sterile interior. Food & Wine has listed Composition Coffee as one of the best coffee houses in Florida. They are particularly known for their matcha sourced directly from Japan and prepared using traditional techniques. When ordering they will share their expertise about coffee types, brewing methods, and where they source their beans. Specialty roasts are available via AeroPress, pour-over, cold brew, and espresso. Drinks are prepared using a specialty reverse osmosis water profile to deliver each beans beans flavor notes like chocolate, caramel, and fruit. Korman considers himself a scientist who is always working to present each coffee at its peak flavor. I ordered a London Fog cookie, made with Earl Grey tea with bergamot oil. It was my first time trying this flavor and it added a floral, citrusy tea taste to the cookie. It paired perfectly with an iced latte which i enjoyed in their cozy loft area. While I am not a coffee expert, whether experienced or novice, they will prepare you a delicious beverage.

We went to check out this new coffee shop. It has a nice clean atmosphere. The servers were friendly. The iced cafe latte was great, along with the two cookies. A fair amount of parking. They have an upstairs section for extra seats, which makes good use of their space.
This coffee shop came highly recommended to us by locals while visiting WPB, and it did not disappoint! Beautiful interior & coffee bar with an upper level with additional seating. We were able to catch their holiday menu specials and got the eggnog cortado which was just perfection. I could have drank two more. We enjoyed the cozy sofa upstairs while admiring the busy baristas from above. The parking lot is small & tight but we were able to score a spot. We'd definitely come back here the next time we're in the area.
Cute little spot to relax at, have a coffee date, or do a little work from. The staff are very friendly and easy going, and helpful. Had a matcha latte with vanilla and honey, and it was the perfect level of sweetness. Also had a matcha brownie (honestly I have no idea what that is, but it was nice and dense which I liked, although a bit pricey at $7+) Good place to hang at and a cool looking aesthetic too. As for price, I guess you'd expect it for Palm Beach, but still probably would've liked to see each (drinks and food) be around 1-2$ cheaper to be an overall all in win. No issues and nothing stood out as particularly amazing or negative, no big deterrent or pill so overall: solid and safe spot - would recommend checking out if you're in the area and are looking for somewhere to roam to casually.
Pretty quiet coffee shop. It's small inside. It's a coffee shop, so don't come here expecting to eat breakfast or lunch because this isn't the place for that. It's a place to drink coffee and maybe get some work done if you work remotely.
I recently came here and ordered a vanilla iced latte. The employees were very friendly and kept the line moving. They have indoor and outdoor seating with a cool loft, which I've never seen before in a coffee shop. This is definitely a more classic coffee shop as they don't do fancy flavors.
This coffee shop is in a great location in West Palm Beach. The loft seating was very unique, it's the first time I've seen that in a coffee shop. They have indoor and outdoor seating, along with a parking lot shared with other businesses. I do wish they had more flavors to choose from, as they didn't have caramel. Other than that, I enjoyed the vanilla latte and will return.
Composition is located in downtown West Palm Beach by a delicious taco shop and an adorable record store. In my opinion I liked the seating options here. You could sit outside on their patio or upstairs in a loft-like area. However the cubby area tucked in the back was extremely uncomfortable for long term sitting. I had come here to study, and while I could find a seat, I could not find many places to plug in my laptop, which became kind of frustrating around the end of the day. Ironically, the cubby area had the most places to plug-in, but it was so uncomfortable that I ended up finding a table and balancing my laptop, so that I could get my cord to reach an outlet behind me at a table. I also thought it pertinent to warn everyone reading that I got a classic iced vanilla latte and it was over $10. No special milk and no other flavors.
Came here with a friend due to all the good reviews we saw. My takeaway is that everything here is just okay. My friend ordered an iced matcha, which she left half unfinished as she didn't like it. I tried it as well and I'd have to agree. The matcha was still very bitter despite her asking them to sweeten it with honey. She did like her croissant. I ordered the matcha brownie which was very mild in taste and a bit on the dry side. I also got an iced latte, which was alright. I'm picky with coffee and I wouldn't say the flavor stood out to me enough to make a return here since it was an about 25 min drive. If I lived 5 minutes away maybe. The actual coffee shop was absolutely packed. Lots of dogs. We were able to find a spot upstairs and we hung around there for about an hour on our laptops. Always appreciate when there's spots where you can enjoy your coffee and have free wifi, so kudos to the owner for that.
Their coffee in pictures looks very promising, I always look for lattes that are darker in color so I know it's a lot stronger or more of a coffee taste than milk. They have a shared parking lot and street parking as well. The place looks really aesthetically pleasing they have a small upstairs lounge and offer patio. I like how there were a few options of espressos we can choose from. We got the monte espresso latte, one with coconut syrup and one with vanilla. I like how they measure their syrups by oz/g then pumps. They were very accommodating when I ask for 6grams of coconut syrup. Coffee was really good! Really strong coffee taste. Loved the vanilla latte but not a fan of the coconut but I would definitely come back again cause their coffee isn't water down or milky.
Big fan of this spot! Love the quality of coffee and decor. Although, I wish they offered more food options and a rewards program. Nonetheless, I highly recommend if you're a coffee connoisseur.
Composition is my favorite coffee shop in Florida. It's so good that I'm willing to wake up at 6 a.m. and drive 50 minutes just to be there when they open (and I actually do that). The coffee is outstanding and actually tastes like the famous Community Goods coffee from LA. I love the artisanal ceramic cups they use--it adds so much to the experience. Their decaf coffee amazed me; it's so flavorful that it doesn't feel like a compromise at all. I also appreciate the quality of their pastries--so many coffee shops have pastries just for the sake of it, but here, they're actually delicious. The passion fruit kouign-amann blew my mind, and the almond croissant is stunning! Atmosphere-wise, it's my number one coffee shop. It's so peaceful, with comfortable couches and a second floor where you feel separated from the rest of the world. It's so cozy that people come here to spend the whole day working--which is both a blessing and a curse lol. I also come here to read sometimes, but if you're just trying to have your coffee, you might get pissed that all the seats are taken. I recommend Composition to literally everyone--including you, my fellow reader.

OH. MY. GOSH. This place is INCREDIBLE!!!! The sweetest people inside and one of the best coffees I've ever had. I've also NEVER had a pastry at a coffee shop that was this good. I can't recommend more the Everything Croissant. Get 50 of them, you won't be sorry. The vibe, the style, the perfect environment to get your work done and maybe meet a new friend along the way. If you're looking for speciality coffee - this is the spot to visit. Small cozy space. Friendly service. Great to open a book or pop up with your laptop. Seasonal coffee offerings. Drip coffee cortados. Pour overs. Quality coffee. Great taste. Highly recommend for my coffee connoisseur. read more
I had been here before but heard they did some renovations. They now have a loft. It's very inviting. All the employees were friendly and willing to help with questions. I decided to try the matcha latte. Matcha is not my favorite but I like to try new drinks. I also had the zucchini bread and that was tasty. The stairs going up to the loft do seem steep so be careful. The inside is small so they do have seating outside as well. read more

First time here and the Matcha was amazing!! Seriously. I can be really picky with matcha but it was perfection. The lady at the front that took my order was super sweet and helpful. It's a cute little place to sit and have a drink and a pastry. I'll be back to try the coffee! read more
I needed a place to work from without interruptions and Composition was the first one I found on Google Maps. LET ME TELL YA ... this place is great. I had the most delicious latte, an amazing "everything bagel croissant" and a really productive day of work. The atmosphere is great, the staff is beyond friendly, and the spot is perfect for catching up with friends or going solo. I love that they also offer cocktails, live music, and a variety of events from what I saw on their Instagram. Can't wait to go back! read more

The coffee is great! We had the iced mocha and loved it, it's Cocao so the barista asked if we would like it sweetened or not, we chose sweetened and it was delicious! The everything bagel croissant is a must try! We got one to share and went back to purchase another one to go!! read more

We LOVED this coffee shop! The two story vibes but with plants. Super cozy atmosphere very welcoming and aesthetic. Plenty of seating both and in out! One of the coolest places in west Palm for sure. Googled coffee shops in palm beach and the name stuck out to me. So glad we stopped in! I admire the aesthetics of this space. Love the loft and the lime wash hand painted walls down to the large plants, and wooden furniture. The handmade ceramics for indoor dining made me want to melt. Everything was very tasteful in the design and if I had my own coffee shop I would want it to look like this one. We had cortados and they were very well made. My mom, sister and I much appreciated the mini cups for our iced cortados to go and the staff were very pleasant and patient with us and we were definitely overstimulated by all of the beauty put into this shop. Upon walking in, I was surprised that my friend was able to find such a hidden gem. We went on a Saturday around 11am and the place was packed. It kinda gave Friday night bar vibes, but in a coffee shop kind of way. The establishment is pet friendly. Probably 40% of the customers had a dog. I am not a dog person. The team member who took my order was friendly and allowed me to ask questions. I had an iced americano with almond milk and Splenda. The coffee was... lackluster. It didn't taste much like coffee. I asked a group of guys if they enjoyed their coffee; they both did. One had an iced vanilla latte and the other had a cold brew, no ice, with almond milk. The next time I go back back, I'll probably try the cold brew or a specialty coffee. If you like regular, degular coffee, consider ordering something with more razzle dazzle. Parking is available for free in a parking lot next to the building. There seemed to be another lot across the street they may be an overflow option if it doesn't belong to another establishment. read more

Of the 387 coffee places in North America I've been fortunate enough to have enjoyed Single Origin Espresso, Composition is top 5. If you truly enjoy extremely high quality espresso, prepared correctly, in a stunning building, come here. The difference in Barista expertise here and mainstream coffee places is vast. From an impressive menu of pour overs to Espresso, and fresh pastries, this is easily top 2 in Florida. I drive roughly 1 hour for an Espresso, IT'S THAT GOOD. read more

We got two fall spice lattes, everything croissant, and a piece of the orange loaf. It was so good. The coffee was delicious. The everything croissant was literally amazing. If you go here you need to try it. Also the person making the coffee was so nice and helpful when I didn't know which coffee to get. read more

Composition is your classic small coffee house, with the entrepreneurial owner who sources top-of-the-line coffee and sweats the details, right down to the Ph of the water. Comfy couches, plus a few nice work tables for individuals and groups. Lots of PBAU college kids in there. The cortado rocks. Perfect crema. Drip coffee is custom costly, so the sticker-shocked might head to the Bucks on Belvedere instead. In a business park. Near mathnasium and Tai Kwon do for the kids, it's the place to go hang. read more

This is a very small coffee shop with limited seating. The employees were friendly and helpful, however there was a hair on the plate of my zucchini cake and I was not a fan of my coffee. To be fair, the cashier did tell me that the other espresso paired best with drinks, but I wanted to try something different so that's on me and why I am still giving 3 stars. Simply the best coffee in the Palm beach area! Don't think twice - do yourself a favour and try it out Coffee- 5/5 Ambiance- 4/5 Service- 5/5 The mocha I had was delectable. Smooth, not too sweet, just the right texture, and a subtle creamy espresso undertone to bring it all together. The owner Josh is absolutely a wonderful person who has an incredible passion for coffee. Definitely say hello if you get a chance. His dedication to brewing the perfect cup of coffee is unmatched. The ambiance is a great fit for the area and also a good place to meet for business or pleasure. I don't even live in the area I travelled down from Canada for work. I love this coffee shop! Throughly enjoy the elegant and simple design. My experience is heavily influenced by the warm and welcoming barista that was so patient in answering my questions. Not only that, their lavender latte is absolutely delicious! I've had many and this might be my favorite. I loved that they used a marble ceramic cup as well, so unique compared to other coffee shops. If I lived near by, I would be a regular. read more

Such a beautiful coffee shop. I saw this on social media and knew I had to come and it was just as lovely in person. The highlights were really the ambiance and the quality of coffee for sure. I am a big coffee lover so I was excited to come here. There were a few things that did throw me off though. One was that it was absolutely freezing in there. Since it's out outside I was wearing shorts and a tank but I could hardly stay for long because it was so cold. The other was that although it wasn't super busy, my coffee seemed to be thrown together. I mean I don't expect a perfect latte art every time and I know from experience sometimes milk just doesn't behave, but for a place like this it looked like they just kind of dumped the steamed milk in so the presentation wasn't there. It just surprised me is all for a place like this. I also had to ask for sugar as there was no station for that. I can imagine they take pride in their coffee, as they should because it was delicious, but I thought that was odd. With all that being said, it is worth coming here. It's beautiful, the staff was very nice and sweet, and the coffee was great! read more

This is hands down the best coffee shop in S FL in reference to superb quality clean beans and highest quality clean water used.
