The two stars are for my doctor, herself. As someone said in another review - the supporting infrastructure is ridiculous. I went months between my appointments without the medication prescribed at the first appointment because the office failed to fill out the prior auth form correctly. I left numerous messages with the call bank, to no avail. That eventually got sorted when I went in bodily for my next appointment and to her credit, my doctor was appropriately appalled. However, I'm back in a similar situation - started a different medication and wasn't provided any refills so unless this system works better than last time (already doubtful), I'll go a month without, which completely defeats the purpose, until I see her again for a followup. So, for anyone looking for neuro care - my doctor is fine but if you need anything, you cannot get it accomplished. The call bank is a joke. I am writing today in regard to Dr Clair Cascella who I feel does not do her due diligence to understanding the root cause of an issue and instead defers to the excess of medication prescriptions. I have co occurring complex issues hence if a Doctor is unable to help I understand but just say it as opposed to DISMISSING. Let me back up. Upon meeting with Dr C she did offer some time to sit down and hear as to why I was coming to her, what my chief concerns are. For that she does listen. All the while listening she also does a very simple neuro evaluation of the standard walk on your heels, hitting your reflexes etc., and upon hearing what chief concerns are will order a smattering of tests as well as start working with a PHARMACY to start a slew of medication. Once tests come back, even if there are issues detected, if it is out of her realm of "neuro" she is NOT going to think outside of the box and try to figure out connections. Instead she will go to the default of let me prescribe you x y z and call it a day. When I asked questions about my MRI for a few issues that were pointed out and when I write pointed some of my images had a BIG yellow triangle with an explanation point in the middle as it was something to talk about and go over with a specialist. BUT with clear disregard to my questions and thought process, Dr Clair Cascella simply stated, "oh don't worry about that"...Ummmmm OK don't worry about something that has been so clearly pointed out on an MRI and just continue on until I experience more symptoms or just clearly don't worry about it as in I, Dr Cascella cannot think outside the box or even guide to recommend another specialist who may be able to help, or don't worry I Clare Cascella will PRESCRIBE medication. Why this makes me especially annoyed is: 1. Dr C was unclear what was going on with me but still opted to prescribe medication. 2. Dr C works with a pharmacy that delivers to the patients house and that is great but for some reason NOONE ever checks in with the patients and like clock work the prescriptions are being delivered on an on going monthly basis utility you actually reach out and say STOP. 3. When I write on going monthly basis I was being subscribed and being CHARGED on my insurance medication I DID NOT EVEN go over with when speaking/ consulting with Dr C. 4.It was as if there was something going on further than helping a patient as I kept getting CHARGED month after month after contacting the pharmacy and then having to take MY TIME out of MY schedule to talk to MY insurance! After a second time of meeting with Dr C I walked out of her office feeling deflated. I am so appreciative I now have several VERY amazing out of the box doctors on my team. If you are dealing with complex health issues inasmuch as it is difficult to search out the professional who will be there EVERY step of the way it is worth it - AVOID and I mean AVOID the Complete Neuro Care - it is anything BUT care read more

Behind a deceptive appearance there was total unprofessionalism. I made an appointment for a specific doctor, I specifically asked if they respected the appointment time and if they accepted my insurance. All affirmative answers also confirmed in the phone call the day before. Too bad that on the day of the visit everything was turned upside down. The appointment time was not respected even though I arrived 10 minutes before the 15 minute advance requested. A higher copayment than due was requested and the doctor I requested has not worked there for a long time, at least that's what they told me to justify the amount requested. Of course I left before making the visit and these people do not realize that to go to them I had to waste a day off from work and that I will have to request another day for a hopeful appointment in another location. this review is for the staff and the scheduling practices. I was texted an appointment date that was not the appointment that I made online. I called to clarify and they were firm and said we don't have appointments on the other date that I thought I made the appointment, and so I thought that I had made a mistake. Then I read reviews and saw that another person posted this same experience! they text you with a different date than you originally chose and confirmed online. i checked my email and did receive an online confirmation for the other date. I should have known- it was a red flag that there were many appointments available online. But when I called today they said the next appointment available was a month out. And then abruptly hung up on me when I said I wasn't sure of the new date and as I was speaking to say that I would call them back, she hung up! not a good feeling about this office. I hope the doctors are better, but reading these yelp reviews, I'm not so sure. I will not continue here, I don't have a good feeling about this place. read more

Complete Neurological Care is a disgrace and I should be out of business. AVOID coming to see them at ALL costs. If you're already a patient, I advise you to quickly find another doctor in a BETTER network of clinics because this one will make it IMPOSSIBLE to receive ANY true care and cause you to lapse MONTHS upon months on VERY crucial care, therapy, etc. They make it impossible to get in contact via phone or email. You will book appointments and wait MONTHS to see the doctor just for them to call you last minute and tell you they have to reschedule you. Every time I've been there I've had to wait 2 hours to be seen despite coming a half hour early. When I tell you it's IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of anyone, it is LITERALLY impossible. They have one 800 line for the entire company and it's answered by (clearly) overseas and poorly paid workers and/or just disconnects. The calls will NOT go through. NOBODY ever replies to emails or contact forms. GOOD LUCK paying a specialist copay and EVER getting your testing, results or clinicals. I was promised my clinicals and told the office I didn't want to leave before I had them in hand due to such bad experiences before. I was assured they would be sent. I asked the receptionist from what email address -- so that if I didn't see them come through I could contact her. She played dumb and said she didn't know.. then said "Oh I don't know what email address it will come from.." and REFUSED to give me an email address. Guess what? NO clinicals were ever sent and they are totally unreachable. My ASD son cannot receive therapies because of this and I'm not the only person who has had this issue with them. Not surprised as reception has always been rude and they do the literal least they can and treat patients poorly. What's even more embarrassing is seeing how they speak to the doctors. This practice is so unprofessional. I LITERALLY drove across the city to be seen in the Valley Stream location to go in PHYSICALLY to request these clinicals (since they NEVER answer the phones or emails) all to pay and have my time wasted. I will now likely need to go in and fight to get my paperwork. Dr. Samuel Apeatu is a good doctor but this network/chain of neurologists is HORRID and I'm finding a new doctor after this. Read their YELP reviews. So many fake reviews here and on Google Reviews but the YELP ones aren't hidden. At this point I'm finding a better doctor's office and having my records sent over because dealing with this place has been miserable from day 1. ANY of the follow up comments you see from "customer support/management" that provide a direct number for patients to call the "office manager" are also null and void. I've called EVERY single one of those numbers they tell people to call for "assistance" and "help" so they can fix the issue and not a SINGLE number works. You call in and it's the same garbage 800 line and when you dial the extension it rings once and disconnects/hangs up on you. I'm mindblown as to how they're still in business. Dr. Goodman, the doctor I saw was very good however the supporting infrastructure is terrible. They gave me a prescription for a lab test and the lab wasn't covered by my insurance. That's OK when I call back to tell them that I was promised callbacks emails with with a prescription for a different lab And all of that never happened. I have been trying to get through to them for five days with no luck. I would not recommend this to anybody. read more

This place is a joke. The call center is a joke, you cannot get through to any of the offices without calling the call center first. They call center reps never know anything. David is a joke! He hangs up or transfers the calls! No one ever knows anything about your appointment or tests or etc. just one big money hungry company. I like the doctors in all of this practice's locations. But the location I love is the one in valley stream! Customer service is amazing and very helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Claire Casella (sp?) She is through, listens to her patients and is not condisending. She looks at the problem in different ways and tries to fund the issue in the least amount of tests. read more

Completely useless staff and refused to see my mother for her appointment they confirmed which I booked through Zocdoc last week for today at 4:45 PM with Dr. Ellen Edgar. They lied and told her it was February 28th. I call the call center and find out they accidentally put her in for March 28th. I left a rather furious voicemail and found out they saw their last patient at 4:30 and refused to see my Mom at 4:45 PM because they wanted to leave early. I was even courteous and faxed my Mom's insurance card last week to avoid delays since she was the last appointment of the day. Thank goodness I have documentation. I don't write a lot of reviews but I'd like to warn people not to come here. The administrative staff and process is TERRIBLE. It is negligent to the patient who they make it clear they do not care about. They will have you book an appointment time online through their website, they will then text you a confirmation for a new appointment time of their choosing, then when you call they will say you have no appointment. They would consistently forget to call at any agreed upon appointment time. They are unorganized and unprofessional. This is my story (not even all of it). The part that is unbelievable is that I still even tried to get any kind of medical attention from them after this: On 2/27 I receive a call from them about a phone appointment to follow up my last and refill my prescription. They asked I call back to confirm. When I call back they say I have no appointment. I let them know their office called me about the appointment, the guy, who was very rude, just said sir you don't have any appointment. Now in March I am getting low on my medication so I made an appointment online for a phone appointment 3/27 at 10:30am after a morning meeting. When I call to confirm, they claim I made the appointment for 9:30am which I know I wouldn't because I am not available at that time. I offered to send my confirmation email for the 10:30am appointment and they said that wouldn't be necessary since they have it for 9:30 am and my appointment is 9:30 am. This time doesn't really matter as they forgot to call at BOTH 9:30am or 10:30am. I called in at around 1:00pm to which they said someone would call me (of course no apology for ditching their appointment). Then no one called. I called throughout they day saying I really need to speak with a doctor to which they continued to say the doctor would be calling. No one did call and they let me know no doctor would be working the next day either which is bizarre. So fine, I made another appointment for 3/29. They completely missed it, again! I called to check on what is going on over there. They continued to push it back until we agreed on a 5:45pm call. Of course no one called, I got a missed call at 7:00 pm and called back within a minute but no one picked up. So I set an appointment for this morning for 9:00am just trying to get my refill since there is no way I'd ever go back to this office. I get a text my appointment is at 12:00pm. I call to ask if it is 9:00am or 12:00pm, either is fine but I'd like to know when they are calling. They say "Sir you don't have an appointment" I offer to send the confirmation email, but again, they don't want it. I would really like my prescription filled since I have run out at this point. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS. THEIR STAFF IS DIGUSTINGLY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. read more

This review is for the entire company. Possibly the worst on earth. Each month is an issue. I make an appointment for a follow up phone call/refill. it gets put in as telemedicine, or An in person appointment. Hours and hours each day of appointment being given false info, and calls being transferred to the wrong offices, nobody ever picks up. doctor never calls or joins telemedicine call, no direct customer service to office, have to go through central office where this piece of shit named David hangs up every time and manually goes into my file and cancels/changes my appointments against my will. I feel so terrible having to give it a full one star. What needs to be a 30 second phone call once a month turns into an 8 hour day of anger and waiting weeks thereafter things to work out. This is not an issue of the doctors, rather whoever works at the central office is constantly messing everything up. The staff at the desk of Valley Stream is actually very helpful to me. My husband could not move his hand. It was scary since he is a guitar player and blue collar worker. Dr Cascella had the MRI and EMG results for a month and WOULD NOT CALL until she got her fat check for a follow up visit a month later. The office is lazy and deflective. They never answer and have a phone service do all the dirty work. The service had no idea the hours of operation and were trained to make excuses for the office. I called and got the queens location and put in a request to speak with the office manger who never called me back. DO NOT waste your time on this practice. Staff won't call you back with test results, even when they're abnormal and make you wait so they can make you come in to bill you and barely give you any useful information. Even the call center guy is rude and flat out told me that no doctor will take the time to call a patient unless it's an absolute emergency. They obviously overbook to get as much money as possible, yet no quality of care. Don't waste your time. They won't even refill a prescription without you coming in for constant visits. This office is a literal joke. Poorly ran, sloppy, unorganized, and disgustingly rude staff. I would totally give 0 stars if I could! I've seen/spoke to a few different doctors at this office for in person/ virtual phone check ups to refill my monthly script for almost a year now until at my last check-up my doctor randomly and aggressively threatened to not see me or prescribe me my medication anymore until I personally retrieve and get them my medical records from my previous neurologist.... Even though they have already been prescribing me this medication monthly... For a whole year? Time for a little back story: I came to this office out of desperation as I got my insurance switched and was no longer in network with my previous Neurologist. On my first visit at this office the receptionist asked for my previous neurologists contact information so they can acquire my past medical records from them, OK, they go back and fourth in contact with my old neurologist and say they will handle it.... Nothing is mentioned for months until out of nowhere the doctors and receptionist at this office begin calling me and threatening to not prescribe me my meds anymore until I get my medical records from my prev. neurologist to their office. HUH? They told me it was being taken care of by their receptionists, as it should have been. I contacted my previous neurologist office and they said that they faxed over a forum to this office to have me sign to acquire my medical records but this office never got back to them. So I'm being threatened to not get my medication prescribed to me until I do their receptionists job for them because she's too lazy to contact back my prev. neurologist to do what needs to be done in order for my medical records to get sent over again, like I said, complete joke. The receptionist just called me today with an unnecessary attitude telling me that the doctor is sitting in a virtual meeting waiting for me to join I said what? Nobody ever spoke to me about this, usually for my virtual check ups they call my phone and we do it over a phone call, she proceeds to tell me that I should have gotten a link to my email to join some virtual call, even though no link was ever sent to my email nor was this new type of virtual call ever discussed, she proceeded to be nasty, tell me well this is what they had you down for and you should have gotten a link and than bring up my medical record situation saying I need to attain them and get them to the office and it's up to me to do it not her and bickering back and fourth with me about it until I finally said forget about it and hung up. I myself used to be a receptionist, I am aware that in this position it is indeed the receptionists responsibility to handle the retrieval of medical records from my prev. office, I literally used to do it all of the time, daily for patients. I will not be returning to this office, the doctors, the receptionists, and every staff member I have encountered thus far has been nothing but disgustingly rude and useless. The manager told me to change my insurance they don't like to pay. If that was the case they wouldn't except it. They always say they called me but for some reason I never get a message from them or that missed call. I am a huge fan of Dr. Kishan Patel however, I saw him because of an incident which took place in his practice's Valley Stream location. WARNING: The Office Manager is extremely unprofessional, disrespectful, and flat out rude. She violated HIPPA when she revealed my personal medical information in the waiting room while in front of other patients. I have been going to the VS location since I started seeing Dr. Patel and his colleagues back in 2015. The Office Manager told me that I need to find another location since that isn't where I belong. Upon alerting her of her HIPPA violation and informing her that I would be contacting the doctors directly, she asked to speak to me privately to which I refused. The office was overcrowded and although I arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment, the wait to see the doctor was more than 60 minutes. This is totally UNACCEPTABLE!!! read more

I have never posted on yelp before but for this I just had to. I came here with my mom today at 10:20 her appointment was made for 10:30 we traveled from the bronx just to get here its about 30 mins from our home. When we arrived we noticed we might have to wait a few for the doctor. We then had been here for an hour and a half with out anyone giving us a update on our wait. My mom then noticed a women being called before her who came later around 11am. She had came after us and had been called before us and her appointment was later then ours as well. My mom then approaches the front desk and asks the receptionist ( Ana ) how does this facility operate because I was before the young lady who went in just now. The receptionist lets my mom know the system has been down and the are a little behind. My mom then ask but shouldn't there be a protocol for this kind of situation. The receptionist then starts to have an attitude and began to say well I just explained what is going on . The nurse calls my mom and the receptionist say well you can go she called you already. My mom turned around and told her " you can be nice you know " . The receptionist then began to raise her voice even louder and said " well who do you think you are. You are not better than me." My mom lets her know " I don't think I'm better than you or anyone for that matter, but this is your job you should be nice and happy especially if your working with the front desk you are the face we see when we enter. " my mom then walks away and enters her room I still hear the women speaking and I make It very clear for this women to stop talking to my mom before I get out of hand. I've been meaning to write a review for a long time and never got a chance to. But now I do. I had a car accident back in September which resulted in me getting a grade 2 concussion. I came here to get treated. The front desk weren't the most welcoming but I didn't pay much mind to that. The tech staff was really nice as the girl who first saw me asked me the right questions. Then I saw Dr. Leonid Iskhakov. He was very stand-offish to say the least. But he asked questions and I answered as efficient as possible. During this time I wasn't able to take time off from work as I didn't have enough sick time during this part of the year. I was still going to work with a concussion. The most crucial part of recovering from a concussion is rest, which I didn't get. I took my FMLA form back to the doctor's office in hopes to get it approved to take some days off. Dr. Leonid Iskhakov told me it was completely unnecessary and that I can take my time off whenever I want to from work. I was trying to explain to him that's not how it works and my HR recommended for me to get the form filled out. The doctor was completely rude and combative and barely let me speak. Never do I ever go to an establishment to look for an issue. But clearly he does. I will never go back to this place again. It's been 5 months and I still have concussion symptoms. read more

Dr. Cascella has been an amazing and enormous help to me. She is the nicest and most caring and compassionate doctor I have met and had the privilege of knowing. Unfortunately I can't say the same for the office the she used to be affiliated with (new york neurological associates) Thank God she left!!. I'm so thankful that I found Dr. Cascella's new location because she is truly an exceptional physician. i had my first appointment this morning in her new practice here in valley stream and i already like it better! the girls at the front were really nice, the office itself is very clean and super convenient to get to. Dr Cascella picked up right where she left off with me back in december, like nothing changed! she makes me super comfortable and has helped all my neck and head issues that i've had. i'm one of those people who hate going to the doctor because i'm always really nervous and uneasy but she doesn't give me that feeling at all. I would never normally write a review, never mind for a doctors office!!!! I am never one to complain or would ever distain someone's reputation (which is why I am not naming names) but this office is disgusting, from the front desk (where you sit for hrs) to the dr's who are all shared by many practices and don't care! One actually hung up on me! I don't mean just physically disgusting; my neurological results have I've been in for three weeks (confirmed by radiologist ) they found a lesion!! i've had 17 seizures ! No-one has called me back after terrifying with the original results from a woman at the front desk who could barely speak English and unable to answer any of my questions! The second time when I complained about the wait, the secretary was very unapologetic and extremely rude! The Doctor we saw had no bedside manner and pretty rough. Ok where to start? Everything is just wrong here. To start, The receptionists are very unfriendly. They have you standing up there for a while, waiting. They don't greet you or say anything to you. They just slide a covid questionaire to you. The waiting room is super small. They only have like 6 chairs in there and they pack the waiting room. It is definitely not covid safe. To me this is definitely a covid violation. Out of all the places you would think a doctor's waiting room should be the safest. So I filled out paper work and questionaires, the medical assistant was also very unfriendly. All she did was ask me exactly the same questions I already answered, then I met with a doctor named Sarah I think. I was supposed to meet with dr. Silverstein. Anyway she is a nurse practioner. She literally did the samething. So I answered these questions 3 times. She recommended that I see 6 specialist and nothing is even wrong with me. I just came here for my anxiety and scoliosis. I can see recommending that I see an Orthopedic. Also I kept telling her that I rarely get dizzy. She made me do Unnecessary tests. She was just all over the place, confusing me. I had no idea what I was even getting tested on. The man who did the tests didn't tell me what he was doing to me unless I asked. He was also very unfriendly. I was so scared that I wound up having a panic attack. The only good thing I have to say is, A while back I met with Dr. Espinar, she was great. This place is terrible! It is a money scam to me. Everyone that works here is super unfriendly and not caring. They all look miserable and it looks like they really don't want to be here. I would avoid this place! read more

I was scheduled to see one dr. And they had me go see another one with no choice once i got there. The "dr" barely listened to my concerns and spoke to me like i was stupid. Then I was supposed to get shots consecutively. The 2nd day, when I went to get the 2nd shot ( I drove out in bad weather, from an hour away, missing part of class, ) I get there only to be told the ONLY tech person they have available to their office, left early. They did not phone me and could do nothing for me. Left with out getting the shots. Then they tried sending me to another office. Good thing I googled it first bc the office they were trying to send me to was closed and wasn't even associated with them. I got no help and felt way worse after all this.
