Horrible check-in staff. They ignore you while playing on their phone. The doctor is great though once you get past the front desk.

I'd even go as far as to say he is a relatable down to earth kind of guy; not some stuck up doctor who thinks they're better than everyone. Unfortunately, I did have to wait over an hour to see him. But it was just one of those days (that is how he explained it to me and he also apologized). I did not feel rushed with him at all, which was pleasant because since he had been so late to my appointment, I'm sure he was late for everyone else's. But he still did not rush!. He was very polite and accommodating of the hearing condition I may or may not have. We had a long discussion about what I was diagnosed with, surgery, my next steps, etc.. He even showed me exactly what the issue was and then gave me a whole pamphlet and explained it in depth making sure that I fully understand everything. I have had some pretty god awful experiences with different doctors. This was not one of them at all. I will be following up with him a few times so I will see how those appointments go; but for now, it is a 5 star all around rating! I'm so happy to have chosen this doctor!

Most doctors simply don't care enough given their busy schedule. And, of course, if you look at his resume, you can be assured that he knows what he's doing. Also, the nurse/administrator that was handling my father's case was REALLY awesome. She's now the head of another department I think but I just wanted to mention how great she was. She kept calling my father's insurance company until the surgery was approved because Aetna was being such a pain in the butt. Really went out of the way to make us happy. (This is something I rarely see among doctor office staff. For some reason, they are usually always so grumpy!)

I actually did not know Drs. could do that. In addition, the hearing aid did not work out. At the time, he was very interested in knowing why and how it could be improved, as he is thorough in his work and if I remember correctly working with the company on improving its development, which he had been forthcoming about and I took no issue with. I was devastated I could no longer be his patient, as we had built a relationship over the years, and he was aware my symptoms had returned and severe migraines had developed. When I called, the usual nice receptionist who I had know for YEARS had a bit of a "that's life" attitude, didn't offer any recommendations of other practitioners, and I never saw or heard from him again. I very much felt abandoned. To perhaps have received a call from his assistant, or at least been pointed in a direction that would help me instead of leaving me floundering for help all over again after years of suffering prior to finding Dr. Kohan, would have been a better way to handle the situation. I was searching for a specialist at his level (good luck), placed on forever-long wait lists w/the pandemic, now left far overdue for treatment. I write this more out of disappointment he's no longer my doctor, not malice. Dr. Kohan gave me hope. He said things like, "You have your life back, go live it!" (At the time I WAS doing well, but then it changed), and "We believe the research is about 10 years away from surgery to correct your hearing." But I ended up not cured in any way, and as we were trying other things to heal me, it came to a screeching halt. He was doing his job, and well. Dr. Kohan had so many patients that he may not have even realized & this all his support staff with regard to how it was handled. But your employees represent you, and these are people's lives. I didn't "get mine back." That being said, I am sure Dr. Kohan is still a great practitioner and worth getting a first or second opinion from.

The receptionist told me the doctor does treat tinnitus, but when I asked what approaches he uses (hearing aids, sound therapy, etc.) she told me that it's all on the website. Hmm, If he doesn't list tinnitus as a provided service then why would he have his approach of relieving it listed; it isn't on the website. If his receptionist is reluctant, and too rushed, to speak with me and provide answers, then what can I expect from the doctor himself?

He sent the drug prescription directly to the hospital's pharmacy via computer instead of giving a hard copy of drug prescription. Unfortunately when I went to the hospital's pharmacy, the drug was out of stock. So I was trying to reach Dr. Weber during a weekend but no success. I called the hospital and explained my situation. The on-duty doctor couldn't reach Dr. Weber either. So ended up I have to suffer my spinning for at least 2 days. Finally on Monday, he sent the drug prescription to my preferred pharmacy but without any notification until I called the pharmacy to confirm. 2) My audiologist informed Dr. Weber about my facial nerve stimulation situation after the cochlear implant surgery which she couldn't skip some electrodes and active the sound processor. So I went for an x-ray. I sent emails to Dr. Weber to ask about the result of the x-ray and he advised that the radiologist is on leave and needed to confirm few issues with him after his return. He promised he will get back to me. However I waited and waited, sent him emails, made phone calls and showed up in person. Then he apologized to me and said he didn't receive my emails and somehow found them in his junk emails. He advised that the cochlear implant is in the right position and everything is fine but that's not true. I went for a second opinion from another ENT and was informed that the internal components of electrode arrays were too long and it touched my facial nerves. 3) Because of Dr. Weber's careless mistake on the cochlear implant surgery, I have to go thru another unexpected surgery to solve the facial nerve stimulation.
