The doc is nice. The facility is clean. The wait time is quick. Can't complain.

But the medical assistant told me they didn't receive so I had to have it re-sent and then give a full history. The nurse then came in, didn't make eye contact and didn't listen well. Then the doctor came in and was abrupt with the nurse. The visit was disorganized, fragmented, and rushed. The doctor did prescribe medications but nobody reviewed side effects with me. I was concerned so I reached out and left several text messages but never received any response. I am a nurse myself and I always contact patients within 1-2 days of their call or message and we too are a busy practice. I was very concerned about some of the side effects of one of the medications and really wanted to speak with the doctor or at least have some response! So even though I found the doctor to be caring and down to earth, I must say I am really disappointed that nobody got back to me after a full week and I am still waiting.

I had unnecessary brain test in her office and was told I had to make another appointment to get results. The appointment was weeks away and during that time I continued to suffer and worry about results. Went for follow-up just to hear everything was normal. She couldn't tell me on the phone? She then sends me for an MRI. I got results but called to ask her to explain the medical terminology. She won't come to phone and her assistant was rude on the phone. Says I need an appointment to get an explanation of my results. It's obvious what's going on at this place. I'm reporting her to Medicare and registering a complaint. I suggest everyone on here who had similar experience do the same. She is bilking Medicare and denying proper follow up to patients. Money hungry.

By the time I met with Dr. Golzad, I had lost all hope. I had seen many doctors and rehabilitation…read morespecialists for a work-related Traumatic Brain Injury. I was suffering from many cognitive, psychological and physical problems. I had to walk with canes or walkers, I couldn't concentrate on conversations, and I couldn't finish the simplest task. I was given the impression that I wasn't going to improve and that the passage of time would only make my symptoms worse. I was frightened, isolated, and profoundly depressed. My wife heard good things about Dr. Golzad and forced me to see him. My first visit with Dr. Golzad was very different than anything I had experienced until then. First, he observed my gait. Due to my balance disorder I had fallen several times. I used walkers to go around. Dr. Golzad realized that I had developed an extreme fear of falling and that I needed to overcome before I could improve. He attached me to a harness that was rigged to an overhead trolley. He took away my walkers and asked me to walk. The harness held me up. After several steps, Dr. Golzad gradually loosened the harness and encouraged me to walk from one end of the hallway to the other without my walkers. Then he removed the harness and to my surprise I walked. Within several weeks of performing a series of exercises, my legs got stronger and my mind got over the paralyzing phobia that several falls after the TBI had left me with. I became capable of leaving my house without my walkers! Still, as I explained, the depression was profound. I had seen psychiatrists. I was proscribed one antidepressant after another. My depression was resistant to Prozac and other drugs. That left me feeling like a failure. My whole life had changed. I didn't want to be depressed. No one wants to be depressed. Dr. Golzad began regular injections of the drug Ketamine in his office. Music therapy and aromatherapy were part of the treatment. After several sessions, my incurable sadness lifted. I wanted to and did engage more actively in the various therapy sessions to improve my cognition. All along, Dr. Golzad had me take nutritional supplements. I began an intensive program of supervised neurofeedback-assisted cognitive remediation therapy. It took several months until I made enough progress to stop supervised therapy. I continue the exercises on my own. I have restarted projects and I engage in activities I had to abandon after my accident. I no longer feel isolated. I feel hopeful again. Just a few weeks ago I started a volunteer job in a chronic healthcare facility. In my experience, a TBI injury is devastating. A patient must get the right care. Dr. Golzad personalized my care, all of it. I needed a lot of help and I got it. I am so glad my wife insisted I try one more doctor and that doctor turned out to be Dr. Golzad. To my fellow TBI survivors, do not give up. Wherever you are in this country, find the right doctor. There is light at the end of a dark and scary tunnel.

The person on the phone told me $250, which is fairly reasonable. I was there for about 10 minutes tops, and the doctor really didn't do much (to be fair, by then, the issue seemed to have resolved itself). But it wasn't much different from what I saw on YouTube. Anyway, far from $250, this doctor charged $1,232!! You'd think I had surgery or something for that price. Do NOT trust what the receptionists tell you! I will certainly not be returning. If this invoice doesn't single-handedly explain how broken the U.S. health care system is, then I don't know what does. Honestly, I've had haircuts that were much more time-intensive and worthwhile than this visit, and the invoice is outrageous.

Less than an hour before the scheduled visit, while I was literally on the train commuting from work, they attempted to reschedule yet again. I told them I was already en route, and the call abruptly dropped. No follow-up call. No explanation. I arrived, checked in, and was left sitting in the waiting room for 30-45 minutes without a single update. Only after wasting that time was I informed that the doctor would not be seeing me at all. I took early leave from work and commuted for absolutely nothing. What's most unacceptable is that no one acknowledged the situation or offered even a basic apology. This level of incompetence and indifference is staggering for a medical office. If you value your time or expect minimal professionalism, avoid this place entirely.

I had an appointment at 3 pm. I made this appointment a month and a half ago because I hadn't caught my period for two months. THANKFULLY, my pcp did a blood test the week I called to schedule the appointment and said I wasn't pregnant, but stated I needed to keep my appointment to follow up so they can help get to the bottom of why I have not had a menstruation. Either way, I got there at 2:55pm, sat down and worked on my laptop, and waited until 4:10pm. I still wasn't even called into a room or asked to pee in a cup. I worked in a medical office before 30 mins tops should be the wait in the waiting room. I stood up, packed my work , and went to the front desk and crossed my name off the list. I told the girl an hour wait with the office full was ridiculous, and she gave a sort of a giggle. No apology, no explanation, I guess she doesn't get paid enough to give a f**k about patients and their frustration over the terrible service. I believe when your dealing with someone's health you should have consideration. Don't over book where you have patients waiting so long. You would think right?. Now I have to call my insurance and tell them to make sure these people don't charge for a visit I showed up to but was never seen and find a new doctor. I rather travel an hour to get to an appointment knowing I'll be seen on the spot, then walk 10 mins not knowing when the hell I'm going to be seen. Stay away from this place.

I asked her why didn't you tell me this information when I had the telehealth visit, she said she forgot to turn the page. The second time was when I was getting a checkup. She told me I was missing the last dose for a vaccine, I had only gotten two doses. The second vaccine I had taken was over a year ago. I told her that no one informed me that I needed a third vaccine otherwise I would have scheduled it. She said I was the one who needed to schedule the vaccine appointment. I was going to the doctor's office consistently so she failed to notice that I needed an additional vaccine for a year. She never apologized for her office's mistake or took any accountability. Her secretaries barely speak any English so it is hard to get anything done. For example, I was at a radiology office and Dr. Xu forgot to sign the referral order. Her office refuted that the referral was not signed. The intake person repeated what she said over three times. They eventually faxed over the referral but it was not signed. This incident wasted 30 minutes of my time because of Dr. Xu office's uncooperativeness. The last incident was that I asked her office for a letter with my medical conditions and treatments for work purposes. She told me that she has no responsibility to provide me any documentation. This is a clear violation of my hipaa rights.
