So, I showed him my stairway that needed to be painted. I'm a really good painter, but have developed vertigo, so I try to avoid ladders. I told him I just needed the upper portion painted (which is really high) and that I could take it from there. I just needed it painted from the ceiling, down the wall about 5 feet, on just 3 walls. I was DESPERATE to see SOMETHING get done. I told him I had the paint, rollers, brushes and ladders and asked him if he could do it right then. He went outside and talked to his partner/painter, then came back in the house and said, "Okay, since we're here, we can paint the upper portion for $250.00. I knew that was an outrageous amount, but like I said, I was desperate. He wanted cash up front, I gave $250.00 in cash. His painter was in and out in less than 30 minutes, then they took off. After the paint dried, I could see where the painter had "Dry Rolled" almost everywhere he painted!! $250.00 is way too much to pay for a crap job. My husband called Mark and told him it need to be repainted. Mark said his painter was sick but they would come to our house on Monday or Tuesday. It is now Friday.......HAVE NOT HEARD FROM MARK!!! Out of disgust, I went to Walmart and bought a special tool that will cut in along the ceiling, using a paint roller extender. I painted along the ceiling (which was my main worry/fear) then rolled out the walls. It looks great......NO THANKS TO MARK AND HIS (supposed) PAINTER!!!

One of the biggest parts of this project was staining the new handrails and banisters to match our existing flooring. Nelson showed my wife and me a wide range of stain samples, each carefully selected to closely match the tones of our floors. He was patient and helpful throughout the selection process, and the final result was a perfect match to the sample we chose. The stain not only looks beautiful on its own, but it really ties the whole area together and makes everything feel cohesive and intentional.
