When it came time for the paperwork there was another text exchange asking about the 2 year guarantee because my parents would fall short of it. She text me "Just be transparent on the financial form, that way we can plan for when they start to apply" That Friday the director started getting involved asking questions. Only to wind up denying them despite what I was told. Director Melissa Hingher told me she was going to talk to someone else at corporate and get back to me. 1 week later hadn't heard from anyone. I escalated it to their corporate office when Kenneth Segarnick emailed me back saying he received my email that was sent to the CEO Brenda Bacon. We scheduled a phone call and he backed them 100% didn't care what was in writing. Stated he wasn't a party to the conversation, but I have it in writing. Bottom line be careful with this place, they will tell you what you want to hear but won't back it up, they are liars simply put. Makes me wonder if they do this with admissions, what would they do when it came to care.

Our father, Ted Nardolillo, recently passed away after living at Brandywine at the Gables for…read morealmost one year. For most of that time he was physically and mentally competent. But for the last three months his physical health deteriorated substantially and became very depressed and forgetful. In the last month he had hospice care and a 24 hour aid provided by others that were able to provide the appropriate care without having to move him into another room let along another facility. I won't bother comment in any detail about the facility's amenities - the food, the activities, the cleanliness of the facility. They were fine and more than adequate I am sure there are other, more expensive facilities that could provide a higher degree of amenities and more creature comforts. But what was critical to our family, who never thought either of our parents would ever live anywhere but in their own home or with one of their children, was the care and attention paid to their emotional and physical needs. Our father was a warm, funny and caring person. For him to be comfortable he needed to be surrounded by people who what type of person he was and treat him with the care and affection deserved of such a lovable person. Brandywine and the other providers they brought in, were that and more. They truly bonded with him and made sure he was cared for. If food or his meds needed to be prepared in a certain way they went out of their way to accommodate. If he was cranky and depressed as his condition worsened they were patient and sensitive. I could give plenty of examples of the large and little things they did to make our family content that under his most difficult days he was being properly cared for. When the time finally arrived and our father passed away many of the aides, nurses and other staff treated him and us like family. In an occupation where failing health and ultimately death is not an uncommon occurrence they seemed truly touched and concerned by his worsening condition and grieved with us when he passed away. They even attended his services and stayed with us well past the "respectful' time we thought others in similar line of work would spend. My family will never forget the loving care and respect they showed my father and his family. When you see that type of treatment by paid professionals who only got to know him during his final months you can't help but feel lucky that we picked the perfect place for him. Five stars does not do justice for what these people did for our father. Mark and Wayne, two very grateful sons

Good rehab but terrible management they just care about getting insurance money. Fuck these guysread more

If you are an active over 55 person and like to entertain do not consider moving here. This place…read moreis asleep at 9 PM and if you sneeze too loud you will get complaints. The maintenance is poor and the 90 year old residents are expected shovel their own snow. Update: They did shovel after a fairly heavy snow but still ignore icy, hip breaking sidewalks and lighter snowfalls They do not even de-ice the common areas, If there is an ice storm you are on your own and risk falling and serious injury. The grass has no sprinkler system and dies in the summer leaving nothing but weeds and dirt. If you want to plant anything it has to be within three feet of the foundation unless you are aboard member or friend thereof. Then you can do what you want. Most units have electric heat and your bill in the winter, for a one bedroom unit, will average about 4-500.00 per month if its is not a cold winter. The upside is that they are inexpensive for buying or renting compared to other senior communities. Beware of many nosy neighbors who watch your every move. They even check what you throw in the trash to be sure it is within the bylaws. The dumpsters are not screened and are in plain view of many units. If you like a life of weekly bingo and gossiping in the street this is the place for you.

The place is clean, and every time I visit my dad he is showered with clean clothing. They do activities with them, they actually care about the patients. I went to this place because I was told that my Primary doctor and his Brother (My wound care…read morespecialist) were here. Upon arrival, I was placed in the wrong bed, so this female who was assigned to my room came in with 4 other people to transferme to the proper bed. Upon doing so, the female fell on top of me and proceded to laugh, as did the 4 other people in the room. I explained that I had a wound on my right leg which was healed but very tender and asked her to please be gentle while turning me over to dress the bed. She grabbed my leg, right where the wound used to be and squeezed so hard I screamed in pain, she said, I'm sorry and laughed as did the other people in the room. After doing the same thing for the sixth time, I kicked them out of my room and was making arrangements to transfer to another facility when the admnistrator and the social worker walked in. Never once asking me why I wanted to leave, instead wanted to make me a bet of a steak dinner, that if I stayed for one night I would love the HELLHOLE. The social worker said he would make arrangements for my transfer with life Ride, to which I told him NO, but he did anyway, when he came back into my room and told me what he did, I threw him out of my room as well. Liferide picked me up 28 times prior and never brought a Barriatric wheelchair. Claiming no one ever told them I needed one, despite me telling them each time. Sure enough they showed up without one, then left. The socialworker called them back and threatened them to come back or else and allowed me to use the Barriatric Wheelchair from WillowSprings, sayinghe would pick it up from Encompass the next Monday. I was discharged from Encompass 9 days later and the Barriatric wheelchair was still at encompass. When I saw my Primary Doctor the week after being discharged, I related to him the incompetence of everyone in that HELLHOLE. HE told me he nor his brother goes there. DO NOT LET ANY FAMILY MEMBER GO TO THIS PLACE, UNLESS YOU WANT TO COLLECT THEIR LIFE INSURANCE MONEY!! I will copy this review and post it on the first page of Google for all to see because I highly doubt that they will allow this post to stay on their website. Avoid this place like the plaque, as the staff that I saw, were relentless in laughing at a patients pain, which it seems they enjoyed causing. PS: I called the social worker up the day I was being discharged from Encompass (Encompass is heaven compared to the HELL of Willow Springs), telling him I will not be held responsible for the at least $400.00 Barriatric Wheelchair that he never came to pick up, as he promised he woud! I gane it a one star because I couldn't give it zero stars or even the negative stars it desreves!!! AFTER POSTING THIS REVIEW THE ADMINISTRATOR CALLED ME AND ... Asked: How can I make this better? I responded to him, that he never even asked me why I wanted to leave, no one did. He said I did ask you, as if I were too senile to remember he never did. I told him after the second time that he lied about asking me why I wanted to leave, there better not be a third. Once again how he could make it better? So I asked him if he really wanted to make it better, fire the woman who did this to me, he retorted we probably did lol Operative word being probably. When I asked him How could he make it better, " that's what I'm asking you is his response. The one thing that really irritates me in a nursing rehab facility, is when people in charge look at you as if you're gullible enough to believe their Bulls**t, they figure you're senile because you're old to remember. There's no sembalence of respect, their above such mundane sentiments. I then asked him how much is a Barriatric Wheelchair is worth, I know its $400.00 Minimum and said that when I left Encompass, the barriatric wheelchair the male social worker said he would pick up the very next Monday was still at Encompass when I was discharged 9 days later. . That was just before I hung up because he was insisting he did ask me why I wanted to leave. The ONLY reason I went there was because I was told that my Primary and his brother who is my wound care specialist were working there, which they assurred me they don't. I swear, if you hate your family member, send them to Willow Springs, they won't last long there & you can collect on their insurance policy!
