The crawl space flooded with 2 feet of water, ruining the water heater and damaging the furnace. I spent $2k getting a new water heater installed and am very worried about flooding occurring again. Less than 2 hours after the water heater company left, an alarm in the garage started sounding. Turns out this is a septic pump alarm that was signaling there was soon to be a backup. I called 10 companies and no one could come out until after Christmas - something I understand but also could not accept because I just paid for a brand new water heater. I headed home to try and figure this out by myself with the as-built info from county records... what a nightmare. I spent about an hour digging where the plans showed my tank but found nothing. I gave up and started to call people again to see if anyone could be bribed to come out on Christmas Eve. I called Ken and he answered right away. I asked if there was any chance he could come out right now and he said he was actually on vacation and out on a beach enjoying the sun. I started to apologize and hang-up, but he stopped me and said he could probably at least help on the phone. Ken spent time dealing with me on the phone and via text message for the next 2 hours giving me awesome directions and explanations about everything I needed to do. Not only did Ken essentially teach me the basics about my septic system remotely, he saved me a ton of money because after it was all said and done, my pump alarm was no longer sounding and I was able to confirm it was functioning properly. What's more, to make sure everything was well and truly addressed, the boss himself stopped by on his way to a birthday party to offer a little oversight, hands-on assistance, and some on-the-job staff training. Communication was poor, paperwork was never left under the doormat and results were not submitted to the water district until I contacted her multiple times. After numerous emails over the past week, I was forwarded the paperwork which had "sample" written on it. My address also appeared to have a 4 where there should've been a 9. I was told that it was correct and submitted to the district. Upon calling the district, there wasn't a record of it. All submissions are done online and there are things in place to make sure addresses are correct. I contacted Linda again and was forwarded a screen capture of the submittal of test results. The test date was incorrect since she had come the day before. Results were not submitted until they were a week past due. I am still not sure if she actually tested since she was questioning whether or not she tested the right house.

The last septic company only pumped out the main tank and Rick identified that the secondary grey water tank also needed to be pumped out.
