They explained the process of hospice, dealt with Medicare and private insurance. By taking care of all those insurance interactions (billing, prescriptions, equipment and the like) my family was able to focus on those that were dying. After doing research on local Hospice companies, I found that Hospice of the Pines is one of the few that makes all decisions at a local level. This was important to me so that I didn't have to wait for decisions on care, or deal with the lack of compassion from some giant corporation.

We found out Chira is now at this place and made the switch. Chira is absolutely incredible- so sweet, gives top-notch care, and is always checking in with family. I'm glad my mom is back in her care, where I can have the peace of mind knowing if there are any changes at all I will know immediately. I can't say enough good things about my experience this far with the rest of the team as well. They got someone to evaluate her and got her signed on to care within a couple days of me contacting them. I also just got a call from her new Social Worker, Tea, who is absolutely incredible. She is so compassionate, thorough, very nurturing and clearly really cares about patients. She takes an individualized approach to making sure they have the best quality of life possible in their end days, and offering great support to family members. It is such a relief being so far away knowing that my mom has a really sweet, skilled, and communicative care team. So grateful to Chira, Tea and the rest of the team.

It has been so hard to get any updates or the appropriate care from the facility. Hospice was recently recommended and Angel Care reached out. They have been so caring, communicative, and have really advocated for her care. I've heard from them more in the last week than I have from the facility in the last 6 months. They really care about their patients and I have great peace of mind knowing they are overseeing her care to make sure she is comfortable and coping well.

It smells horrible. We have brought her teas and drink so she can have when requested and nothing. They ignore her. They ignore her so much that she fell the other day and now has a bruise on her side of her face. Ive tried to talk to the owner and she won't reply back. We are in the prosses of looking for another care home to remove her from there
