Very clean and comfortable rooms and facility for residents and visitors. The helpful guidance and communication with families was extraordinary! Today was my turn at the Covid-19 vaccination clinic. These folks are ready for this with an entire…read moreclinic area set up with signs, seating, check-in window and they're ready for action. Check-in was fast and efficient, including a temperature check. Chairs are socially distanced and an associate was disinfecting chairs. I arrived 15 minutes early, it is all but required when you make an appointment. It was a good thing I was early because they were ahead of schedule (I told you they were efficient!) and I was ushered right in. A guide walked me back, which was good, otherwise they'd have to put cheese at the end of the maze. With the efficiency of a NASCAR pit crew, two nurses and a manager who happened to come into my room double-checked my ID, gave me the injection, and set up the appointment for my revisit for the second injection. I was quickly ushered out so the room was available for the next patient. So far, no side effects, and I'll be back for Round Two in three weeks.

She was very rude and abrasive and yelled at me in front of another patient for coming into the lab without an appointment. I actually had stopped in to drop off my lab order and there were only 2 cars in the entire clinic parking lot, so I asked if I could get in. The front office staff said no problem and sent me back to the lab. The phlebotomist actually yelled at me three times about not having an appointment for the lab work and told me never to return again unless I had an appointment. In addition, I highly allergic to all adhesives and the phlebotomist confirmed this. She put a bandaid on my arm so quickly that I did not see her do it and caused a significant allergic response. She tied the stretchy coban dressing on my arm so tightly that it ripped off the skin in 3 areas. I do not have fragile skin and this has never happened to me before. After telling my health care provider what happened, she urged me to call Froedert and file a complaint. I contacted the lab supervisor and left her a messege but she never responded to my call and it has been 4 weeks.

Poppa's temporary home…read more.. Pretty standard for a nursing home type facility; splendid smell comes at no extra charge. There's a lot of coughing, a lot of "help me, help me" and a few strange patients including, but not limited to a) the whistle guy who, you guessed it, is ALWAYS whistling, b) the lady with purple headphones who just turned 100 who wants to know who drew the "no smoking" sign and c) the lady who repeatedly asks, "what if there's a fire?" Cool place, but let's hope Poppa (what I call my Grandpa) can return home soon. Until then, bring on the wheelchairs, hand sanitizer, oxygen tanks, and crazy cute old people.

Well now that I/we have had to utilize this property for rehabilitation/assisted living for my Mom, it is absolutely horrible. With in the first 4 days of being here, our Mom fell multiple times, she was placed in quarantine and no one could visit her to see what was actually taking place, because she came from a hospital setting. Once her 14 day quarantine was up, even with the Lasata Staffing knowing that they had a positive Covid testing of an employee, they moved our Mom to a different room, to start another 14 day quarantine. Luckily we were able to find and secure a new living facility for her, with in a weeks time, only to get her and see that her leg, ankle and foot were swollen. When Lasata was questioned no one would return call soft over a day. When they did call back they more or less said not our problem she's not enrolled with us any more. What a heartless caring staff you are Lasata - from the conference calls to now having a Mother in worse shape since her arrival to your facility proves / answers my unanswered questions - it's all about the money and the number of residents you keep- there is NO CARE for the resident or their families. Sham on you all!!

What makes a place…read morebad is when they fail to deliver in the niche they are trying to fill and where others fail Hawthorn succeeds. We are familiar with someone who once lived here and their care was very good and perfect for what they needed. Hawthorn really creates a home away from home for people who need that extra assistance. If you are looking for a place for which Hawthorn is listed as a place that could fit your needs I would recommend you check them out. The owner is excellent and really goes out of the way to care for the residents and the staff is always nice, friendly, helpful and don't ever seem hurried.

My nana (grandma) spent her last remaining days here at the Kathy Hospice. I have to say, this…read moreplace was simply amazing for what it is. It was so "home-like," very intimate, and secluded. The grounds were great for walking and reflection. The staff here was phenomenal--so kind, attentive, and compassionate. The individual rooms were really nice, large (easily accommodated multiple family and friends), and had comfortable furniture. The staff offered us pillows and blankets. They even had mini fridges and an outdoor patio with each room. The weather was nice when we were here so we often utilized every aspect of it. There are many spaces to use here aside from your loved one's room. They have a sun room, a grief/meditation quiet room, a living room, a dining room, patios, porches, and several garden spaces. Get this--the staff even provides brewed coffee, creamer, and sugar as well as fresh baked cookies. It was definitely a life-altering experience to have to watch someone deteriorate over the course of several days. The staff really helped create a sense of understanding and support throughout. It took me a few months to write this review or get back into everyday things like "yelping" after this, but here I am. I wanted to share what a wonderful home-like environment this was and what a unique facility. One powerful thing to note is that the have these faceless angels everywhere from the Willow Tree brand/series. You can pick them up and each individual angel has the name of a lost loved one and/or an inscription... so powerful. I guess, in summary, if hospice is what you're considering, I would hands-down recommend this place. My nana came out here from Brookfield.

They fired her over a discrepancy that happened over 6 weeks ago. They couldn't even tell her to her face, it was by a phone call. This place is shady & expects absolute flawless perfection, which we know is not possible in the human race. Please, for the sake of your loved one, read the reviews prior to mine & consider the 2.8 rating this place has & look elsewhere! I'd give 0 stars if it was an option!

When the hospital discharged her, Richardson Community Hospice was willing to take her in. Shortly after arrival, however, they determined that she did not qualify for hospice care. I made arrangements to come out from Connecticut to be part of her care team. By the time I got there on a Thursday night, Mom had definitely qualified for hospice care. She passed away Sunday morning with my sister and I holding her hands. I am so glad Mom was able to spend her last few weeks in a beautiful facility with wonderful caring staff. The dispensation of pain medication and doctors at hand were limited, the essential care of my mother was secondary at best. Staff is not always at hand, and when confronted a handful of temporary nurses, different nurses, were of different opinions and excuses.
