I was matched with a new therapist when mine quit after 3 weeks. I was very open about my struggles and was looking for a qualified therapist to stay with me throughout my recovery journey. After 30 minutes with Jackie from the White Fish Bay location who is now temporarily at the Farwell location. It was obvious it wasn't a good fit. She was not qualified to take on a ptsd, autistic patient repeatedly exclaiming she didn't know what to do with me and was underprepared. Being left vulnerable with a therapist who isn't exuding enough confidence to make her patient feel confident I begin to have a panic attack. While waiting for my ride the front desk woman Crystal, was packing up for the day and her and Jackie asked me if they could help me and gave me tissues. No one knew how to take control of the situation and felt helpless because I seemed helpless. I was deemed too difficult, they tried all they could. They left me crying in the front while other patients continued to arrive and they went into the back and were giggling and chatting. My panic attack became severe and I stepped outside. Crystal left for the day and said to me while I was crying outside "it's probably too cold for you out here you should go back inside." This team felt they did all they could and cared enough. I should have been kindly escorted to a safe place away from other patients until my ride arrived. I feel this team felt if I didn't ask for it there was nothing more they could do. Instead of understanding how debilitating a full blown panic attack is. Manager Amy Goebel called me to discuss what happened with Jackie about 20 minutes after it happened, I was still coming down and anxious. I hadn't had time to process what happened and rattled off in detail what happened step by step. When I was done, Amy said to me "no offense, at this point I feel I don't know how to please you and can't help you." After 30 minutes with my new therapist and 1 panic attack later. I have been deemed too difficult to deal with. Amy said to me she felt I was looking for a therapist that would "anticipate my needs." Which is a stigma towards mental health. While I was talking to her she was laughing at me, when I asked her why she was laughing she said she wasn't laughing. When I confronted her later if she could recognize she had indeed laughed, she said she did but it wasn't at me it was because I make her uncomfortable. It was only after I asked to speak to her manager that she begged me to give her a second chance. Two days later I called to follow up about Amy to her manager and the number she provided me went no where. When I reached out to my old clinic to speak to my old therapist and I reached out to the whitefish bay clinic to speak to their manager, I received a text from Amy saying "please stop calling everywhere, please stop." When I spoke to manager Farley from the whitefish bay location, she munched her lunch in my ear while she listened to my story, through my anguish she loudly ate her food in the phone and said she would take what I had to say into consideration and felt Jackie was qualified enough but underprepared. She said Jackie has worked with ptsd patients in the past but was unsure if she had worked with autism patients before. My anxiety and autism has made this team uncomfortable and frankly I'm baffled at how not just unprepared and low confidence Jackie was, but the ignorance of this entire team towards mental health and compassion. Since the event they have treated me like a problematic unruly patient. Anyone who struggles with post traumatic stress disorder or is on the autism spectrum or suffering from something outside of the basic bumps and bruises, should steer clear of any ATI as they are the super cuts of physical therapy.

I noticed the tightness on my neck went away. I have to go back for a few more appointments based on the manager's explanation that it may take a few appointments to have the elbow pain progress. So far I feel improvement and looking forward To the next one. It's less than a week apart. I was also given some dietary supplement for joint health and tiger balm to hopefully help alleviate the pain eventually.

(At regular or western doctor visits through the decades, there was nothing to be done other than my being assigned 3 physical therapy appointments along with Ibuprofen at each incident, yielding MONTHS of pain and little help...) Within several MINUTES with Dr. Zhou, WITH THE PLACEMENT OF A SINGLE NEEDLE, he dropped my shoulder pain levels from 10+ to a 1 or 2, and told me what I suffered from was 'frozen shoulder'!! It was nothing short of amazing! I have never been able to get a diagnosis on this, my pain dropped immediately, and he knew EXACTLY what the problem was. I'm way out of balance as I favor and use my right arm for everything, and seldom use my left arm and shoulder. I have never done activities like golf because that I am terrified of re-igniting this painful injury. I have since continued Dr. Zhou's very effective treatments, techniques, and advice to roll back the decades-long list of damage to my shoulder muscles and tendons - to help get my strength back, and help restore proper shoulder functioning. I feel like him and his sessions are truly healing me. Dr. Zhou shows compassion and concern, and it feels like he is 'my' doctor. Dr. Zhou is also very warm and funny. This review allows me to give him up to 5 stars, but I give him 100 stars!! His office staff and massage people are also super nice, friendly, and clearly exceptionally trained. Everyone who needs medical help should consider Dr. Zhou!

Dr. Paul provides a safe, understanding, sympathetic, private practice, and always accompanies his diagnosis with standard treatment suggestions in addition to recommendations. He is the first Doctor I have ever had that concentrated on wellness of the mind, body, and soul. Seriously, he is the first doctor that ever made me feel like I was more than just another patient. I can't say enough about his care. From entering his office and working with his kind assistant to the cleanliness and order of his treatment room, all the way to the check out process - his office and professionalism is second to none. As for the care he provided I truly appreciated his approach of treating me as a whole, not a collection of potentially disparate problems. Since he is a one doctor practice he seems to be able to manage his time in such a way that he gives himself time to think and focus on me as his patient - no hurried review of my file as he scampers from his previous patient in the next room, and therefore no rush out the door to his next patient. That's really amazing, and not like the typical doctor. He truly cares about me as a patient and as an individual. I was extremely impressed! Dr. Paul is a higher standard of health care, and I hope his model is the future of the medical industry!"
