She listened carefully to what we were looking for in a rental home and responded quickly with several excellent possibilities. She answered our questions with detailed, thoughtful information and seemed to know each home so well it almost felt like she was in the home at the time. As impressive as she was in helping us select the right property, she's been even better since we arrived on island. Our plane landed mid-morning.She arranged for us to get into the home a little earlier than the standard move-in time. We were greeted with gifts, snacks, and even a bottle of wine -- a thoughtful and generous touch. When we discovered a problem with the cable TV setup, she quickly contacted the homeowner, who was vacationing in Europe, and asked her to submit a request to Comcast. A technician came out shortly thereafter. When we couldn't find one of the cable outlets, Laura recalled that there was a junction box near the floor -- and sure enough, there it was. Her photographic memory saved the day. She also responded immediately when we accidentally locked ourselves out of the house -- at 9 o'clock on a Sunday night. She let us know there was a lockbox on the back porch and gave us the combination. Great Point Properties manages over 800 properties. I don't know if Laura knows every square inch of all of them -- but she seems to know this one almost as well as if she lived here herself. It was a less than 10 minute walk from the ferry and incredibly easy to walk to downtown, but also insulated from the hustle and bustle. When we were in the cottage, we might as well have been on the other side of the island, it was so peaceful. The kitchen is well equipped with good quality pots and pans, coffeemaker, etc., so we easily made breakfast and lunch at home each day. The cottage is cute and right on the beach of the harbor. I loved looking out at the water's edge from our bed. The entire property is gorgeous with a well manicured lawn, hydrangeas, and even a cute little bunny that would come out each evening to munch on grass. Robert, the on-site point-of-contact, was super responsive, friendly, and helpful. They also had chairs to take to the beach and in-unit laundry. I would go back in a heartbeat and absolutely loved the time we spent there!

Best place to stay on the island…read more This is our 2nd summer staying in the Hermit Crab cottage. Great location and wonderful management team on property. Can't say enough good things about Harborview. Great location, right in town. They pick you up at the airport; stock your fridge with Cisco Brewery beer and wine; super new modern furniture with professional Bosch appliances. They have a small beach with adirondack chairs on the harbor and it is lovely to sit there and have some wine. Morag and Matt make reservations at the hard to get into restaurants and we have grown to really love them. Highly recommend Harborview. See you next summer!
