I had an absolutely terrible experience at Compact Rentals today. I will start out buy saying that I have been renting from them for years, since the day I started my business and in the past the service has been great. But today I was treated like a common criminal. I rented a jumping jack compactor from them at 12 noon, and proceeded to my job site. My crew started using the machine and after a while it stopped running, we where able to restart the machine but the problem persisted. I contacted Compact Rentals at 1:24 pm and informed them of the problem. They tried to help over the phone but with no success. I returned the machine at 4pm and expected to be refunded the rental cost because the machine did not work, but instead was treated like this was my fault and told that my actions where very suspicious. Then was told to leave because I was being to aggressive or they would call the police. (I assume the police have better things to do.) In the end the staff refused to contact the owner of the business and I was charged the full rental amount. All I can say is that they have lost a customer for life and I an very troubled buy the behavior of there staff. read more
