My two children take swim lessons…read morethrough Eggert Aquatics, which has and agreement with Ben Franklin Swim Club to use this pool as a summer location. The large outdoor pool is clean and well maintained. It has a large open swim shallow end, seven lap lanes, and a diving pool with a low and high-level springboard. There is ample seating around the perimeter of the pool with two fairly large canopied areas and numerous umbrellas. There are also two tetherball ball pits, a cornhole game and a ping-pong table. The main building has a small snack bar and utilitarian but clean changing rooms with bathrooms and showers available. This location is home to youth swim and dive teams and also has frequent social activities for members according the the numerous flyers posted. Members can also sign-up for swim lessons at an additional charge. As a non-member, I have no idea what membership or lesson fees are, so I can't speak to the value, but the facility itself seems rather nice.

A variety of classes are free with membership. It's not a spa experience- it's a gym. For those who complain about its condition- this was Princeton's community go-to before expensive, bespoke exercise companies like barre etc. arrived. Rich and aspirational Princetonians don't patronize it and the much-needed community support has dwindled as a result.

The bathrooms are dirty. They never mop or clean. See photo. Look carefully. See all that nasty hair in the floor? The floors are like this ALL the time.

Two weeks ago, I emailed them directly and asked them to remove me (why I didn't think to do this sooner, I don't know, but I didn't). They told me they would, yet I still receive their emails. It might just be me, but I don't think that shows any consideration for others nor good etiquette. Hence my review.

This is a huge facility, very clean, and Frank the manager (?) on duty couldn't have been more accommodating. I especially appreciated that the free weight section was well separated from the main floor, so those who want to seriously lift won't disturb those who are so easily offended by "meathead" types who like to "pick things up and put them down." The equipment was new, well stocked, and placed on the floor. 10/10 would come again. Smoothie bar could use a little work (provide nutritional info for products, fresh ingredients instead of berries in a jar, for example) but I was glad there was at least some kind of option.
