Staff is rude and disrespectful. My friend took me for a birthday round and we ended up getting a refund because the staff was terrible.

I love this course The folks in the pro shop are great The course is short There are a ton of opportunities to score Very scenic The problem I have with bunker hill are the wait times It seems that every time I play there it is a 5 hour plus round I am not sure if it's the caliber of player or the staff who over book. Just gonna add to the glowing praise for this place - they don't have any practice tees/driving range, so, no full-swing warm-up hitting, no possibility for lessons. I hate playing cold, like to have some idea of what my swing is doing before I tee off, so I'm likely NOT going to play there today even though I have a prepaid reservation. No range or practice tees is an absurdity for any facility that wants to call themselves a golf course. Princeton has them, Mountainview has them, Mattawang has them; Cream Ridge, Gambler Ridge, Mercer Oaks, all have them. I'm not going to drive 25 minutes to find out what ELSE they don't have. First time to this course. I was very pleased how this course was maintained. The staff here was very pleasant and very accommodating allowing my group of two to move to an earlier time slot and join another group. The grounds were well kept, especially with this time of season. Leaf management was on point and the sand dunes were in great shape. Holes are short but definitely a great course with enough challenges to improve your game. I would say this course was very forgiving for an amateur such as myself. read more

Short and relatively easy course. Tee boxes are a mess. Crab grass and beat up. Greens were inconsistent. Some burnt out on edges. If you live within 30 minutes and get a good price I'd recommend it for exactly what it is. A cheap round on a cheap course. I paid 36 bucks for golf with a cart on a Friday and played in 3.5 hours. Anything more than that price it's not worth getting out of bed for. read more

WOW WOW WOW Fathers Day and the guy working the front Desk? WOW must be the Owners ooops MY Daddy Owns the Course? This Guy is rude and obnoxious. He didn't give me the golf balls that were in the Fathers Day Promotion because he was pssst I asked about the 15 minute sign in prior to tee off. Whomever thought of that idea should be Fired Dummy!This guys a real DICK! The course had no water on the course and my Father is 70 years old and its 90 degrees out there. The water Machine didn't work as we tried to pay a dollar into it. The concessions Person is really nice and makes a good burger! The course is Ok but I will look elsewhere to play. Ugh I am so over this place....madddd cranky about Bunker Hill. Ive played about a dozen times of so over the years with various family and friends. There is a big difference from the staff when I played with my Aunt and Uncle VS when I played with my cousins or younger brother. They are not the biggest fans of young "kids" here. Umm not everyone drives the cart like Jackass cast. There are no bathrooms on the course permanent or even porta potty. Which for 2.5 hours for the first 9 I can hold it as can most respectable women but the guzzling beer drinking cigar smoking pot belly middle aged men? not so much, so ladies expect to see someone having a wee on a tree at least twice during your 18 holes. The course is difficult, wooded mostly, so lost balls are a given. It is not a 4 hour round here. At least 5 they are always backed up. If you arrive at 9 for a 9:15 tee time you would be lucky to tee off by 10. Once we arrived on time and there had to be at least 6 parties in front of us. We waited at least an hour on the tee.....oh and to go back to my previous comment, the guys waiting in front of us teed off then one guy decided to pee on the tee!! OK like 15 feet to the left on one of those baby Christmas trees. We were not in a wooded area and dude you just waited on the bench 25 feet from the club house for 45 Min's. I was sitting right next to him for at least 30 of it. The starter said nothing. Disgusting. Its overpriced too. So Cranky. read more

A dog track! It's perfect if you are a beginner but if you play golf once a week and have a 18 or below handicap, this is not a bucket list course. Only reason I gave it 2 stars versus 1 or zero, was people who work there was nice and pleasant. Plus, there were 2-3 nice golf holes. But tee boxes were atrocious, fairways looking like short rough and the greens were hopping more than bunny rabbits during a putt. Stay away! It's a joke! read more

I am simply sick of cold weather and I'm looking forward to some warm weather... Bunker Hill...we've been through so much together... I've played a lot of golf at Bunker Hill, most of it however has been in tournaments. This certainly isn't my favorite course around, but for a tournament round it can be a LOT of fun. The holes are mostly very well protected by woods on most of the fairways and there are definitely a good number of grip it and rip it holes. There are also some challenging holes here to add some challenge to your game, but overall it's a pretty easy course. There are a couple of surprisingly long holes for a fairly short course, including the par 3 sixth hole which usually plays about 185 with a large elevation change. There are also a couple of short par 4s that are reachable with a great drive. I love the last three finishing holes (a nice challenge after a long walk spoiled) and I'm a huge fan of the 9th where a bomb of a drive will put your ball over the stream with a second shot to an elevated green. The clubhouse is just ok...they have a small grill area where you can grab some grub, but during most of the tournaments I've played in they have a huge pavillion where you can BBQ or have catering brought in for the players. Three stars instead of four simply because the course could be kept in a little better shape-especially the greens. Prices aren't bad, but the course also tends to back up quite often...forget a four hour round here. read more

Played here for the 1st time and enjoyed the 18 hole course. Quite challenging wooded fairways with plenty of long holes to air it out. The greens are quite fast and the holes have some slightly raised lips which adds to the challenge. I absolutely love the long drives on hole 1 & 10 that drift into a ravine and raise before the green. Unfortunately the winding layout lends to potential loss balls, yea I lost a few or several or many or..... Two collars & a cart for $70 is not bad, but if you book the tee time online in advance then there's a $30 deep discount. I 'm really looking forward to my next round 44444444444! read more

Simple and limited menu but excels at what it is. The breakfast sandwiches are excellent. An assortment of pre-packaged Danish and muffins are available as well. The coffee is excellent. read more

Great place for a round of golf. I don't golf for the beers after at the club house, or the food at the 9th, but rather I judge a place on the quality of the round (independent of how I play). I arrived early and was offered the opportunity to go as a single from the back 9, which I jumped on to stay out of traffic. Alex, who I believe is the course manager, is professional, and friendly. The back 9 truly shine on this course, meandering over streams, through the woods, and over and down terrain variations. I was walking the course in the heat of the day, but could easily stroll down the tree-lined sides of the fairways to stay in the shade. The greens were in good condition and played consistently. The fairways and rough were in comparable condition to even the overpriced options in the area. The course isn't over the top challenging, and a more conservative style of play will be rewarded for first-timers - while still presenting opportunities for birdies. I will definitely come back to play again, and highly recommend this course. read more

This a golfer friendly public course in very good Condition .I played bunker hill last year and a couple times this year and the improvements are very obvious,in other words,Bunker Hill is trying hard to get and keep regular golfers.The course is well maintained for a public course,booking tee times is simple and the staff is courteous with a pretty good snack bar.Over the summer they had several different specials,like free lunch Thursdays that were even more reason to play there.The only negative that prevent five stars is no free water on course.( just vending machines with water bottles) read more

Came here yesterday with my friend. First time playing here and I was thoroughly impressed with their grounds. Happened to catch the last good Sunday of weather before winter really hit hard and it was one of the best golfing experiences I've had. All the holes are nicely spread out and grass kept in great condition throughout the fairway, the rough, sandpit etc. The best part of the day was around the 15th- 18th hole where the sun begining setting and the foliage mixed with the sky blended into a very enjoyable ending to my golf season. read more

Great Course and a lot of fun to play at all times

Just finished golfing. Had a good time. Real problem happened at the end. We finished golfing at 5:00. Many people still on the course - 21 cars still in parking lot. Asked to use the bathroom and was told that it was closed, the worker had no keys, the person with keys just left, and there was nothing he could do for me. If there are people still on the course, there should be facilities available and employees that can access and help the customers. I told this employee I would write a review because there was nothing else I could do and he said ok. I know it's early in the year but if you are going to open and charge people to play, you should provide full service (aka bathrooms). read more

I am a regular at bunker hill, purely out of connivence of location to my house. The course is not too bad, could be kept a little nicer. What really grinds my gears about this course is the staff attitude toward younger golfers. They act as if we do no belong to be on the same course as the adult. Now I know golf etiquette and how to behave myself on a course, I am a 23 year old college graduate who considers himself a very respectful player, always filling my ball marks, being politely quite when others are around ect. Well today i decided to play a round with a friend. We hit our balls into a dried lake bed an had to trek through the dirt to retrieve them. As any golf will admit, when you see a lost ball, whether it be in the woods or on the edge of a lake bed, if it is reachable without too much effort, we retrieve the ball to use another time. Well we found a bunch of balls in this one area and placed them in the back basket of our cart, as they were covered in mud. As we drove, the dirt eventually fell off the cart and the balls. Upon returning to the parking lot, one of the staff member made a joke "wow you guys really struck gold, where'd you find all those?" So we explained our story in excitement that we had some new pro balls to mess around with in our yard and next time we play. He chuckled and shrugged his shoulders and said "hey some people don't care to look for loose balls and it worked to your benefit today" he even commented on how we had found some nice types of balls that we found. We explained how the cart got a little dirty as we would hate to leave the job for the younger cart ranger who thought our story to be humorous, at this point another staff member was passing by and mumbled under his breath " yea you better clean that cart" . This struck us as rude as we had literally just explained how we planned to do so. We used our club rags to brush the dirt off the cart to the best of our ability. It was dirt, not mud stuck to the cart , so it brushed off very easily. The amount left was less than that if someone had played on a rainy day. When returning the cart the older staff member said to us in a very aggressive and rude manner "you know don't even bother renting a cart next time, I'm going to remember you and make sure you never get one again, this is ridiculous". We were bother thrown back by the response as there was very little dirt on the cart when we returned it, no more than a rainy day on the greens as I said earlier. This man screamed at us in front of other staff member who know me and my buddy as we golf there 2-3 times a week. They even looked confused as to why he was reacting like this. We were later told that there were some 30 somethings out on the course that day doing donuts and he had just got done dealing with that however this does not justify his reaction. Bunker hill you have lost a very valued customer today because of this employee. I spend a lot of money at this course to be talked to like Im some lower class idiot who doesn't belong there. The other comments he made were not only rude, but extremely unprofessional of an employee. After this whole big ordeal, the man sprayed down the cart for no more then 2 minutes before putting it away, about a third of the time we took trying to prevent any inconvenience for the cart staff , which we though we had done, however, to this one grumpy old staff member, we were a "disgrace" and "don not belong on a real golf course" . Comment like these should loose this man his job. There was not justification for his reaction not to mention it is his job to wash down the carts. I can see if we didn't clean it before giving it back but we gave that cart back in the same condition i have returned many carts in, and have never gotten such a rude response. Other customers in the parking lot made comments to us before leaving about the rudeness of this staff member and to not worry about it but we were really bothered by the unprofessionalism seen at this course. It is because of this staff member and him alone I will not be returning to your course and will be taking my business elsewhere for my weekly golf outings. read more

This is my first review but felt I had to write one for this course. Played on a Sunday for 55 dollars with a cart. The course is short, playing about 6,000 from the back tees. The greens were in atrocious condition as were most of the tee boxes. I play golf about 4 times a week in the summer and this is by far the worst course I've played. Spend your money elsewhere, even if you have to drive a little out of your way. read more

Played this course in mid-July 2015 and have retuned each week to play a round. The offer on Thursday including the tee time, free lunch and a bottle of water make it a bargain. Due to the warm weather since mid-July, the fairways are somewhat burnt-out and the ground is extremely hard. The 'Greens' are well watered and in great shape. I found the staff very friendly and the snack bar well maintained. read more
