However, things fell into place during our layovers and we were able to join the open class during our available time slot. It turned out to be a lively and enjoyable experience overall. In the class, you have everything you need to succeed right at your table. You'll be sharing a table with another baker, so I recommend bringing a friend or family member along. Additionally, you'll receive a folder and a recipe sheet with a pencil to follow along with. The class is very hands-on, and I was lucky that my partner was able to take some photos while my hands were covered in flour. While we were working, we had the option to enjoy some refreshing beverages like lemonade, water, and tea. We worked diligently from 1pm to 5pm without any breaks. By the time we finally got to eat around 5:15, I was quite hungry. As someone with a creative mind, I would have loved to have some time to experiment with different dough designs or decorate the Danish pastries. It would have been exciting to incorporate bold flavor choices into our rolled-up croissants as well. Perhaps in the future, there could be a class dedicated to a creative open studio session day. Another suggestion I have is to have a grazing station with chilled snacks near the drinks, so we could nibble on something while working or receiving instructions. However, since we were on the go all day and didn't eat, that was on us for arriving to class hungry. I highly recommend this class. The community of students and Melinda herself create a wonderful atmosphere. You can tell that she goes beyond just teaching the course and keeps the conversation going. If you don't have any experience in bread making, I suggest starting with the fundamentals course and then progressing to the intermediate and advanced levels. Make sure to check the website for the available classes, as they tend to sell out quickly. It took us years to find a class that fit our schedules, but we would definitely do it again. One of my favorite things about her, other than she is an enjoyable person to be around, is her ability to problem solve. Because I am always changing patterns last minute or making mistakes or using fabrics not recommended for particular projects and she is just cool, calm and collected and gets my project to where it needs to be. Beth has taught me how to finish my projects like the high fashion and couture designers. I need my fabric patterns to match and she is so patient and meticulous with the details I obsess about. I absolutely love sewing, thanks to Beth. Her studio is my home away from home.

We received a text message from Paul requesting a day and time to meet for the first appointment. First appointment, the parent must be there (with their drivers license), the payment for the program, and your teen driver must have their permit, logged hours and DC1 card ready to show prior to getting in the vehicle. There will be other teen drivers and there is no set daily schedule so you MUST be patient and flexible. We would get an estimated time of pick up the day before, and at times, he could be running early or late, but that is because you can't predict what will occur with the other drivers. My daughter loved driving with Paul. "He was calm and never condescending,".....her exact words. At the end of the 7 hours, he completed the paperwork for the DMV, as well as, the paperwork to be filed for courthouse (which he submitted for us) and gave her the provisional license (the parent must be present for this, as well because your signature is required). Everything was so organized and easy. If you can get past the slightly unstructured schedule, you can have confidence that your soon-to-be new driver will have a successful and positive experience.

Where to start. Tried to sign up oldest child for 36 session course but Abba doesn't do electronic…read morepayments so had to meet them at their office. They weren't there at the scheduled time. Got fed up with them so registered kid with another school that took electronic payments. Flash forward to youngest kid trying to get learner's permit. He failed 3 times so he had to take a course to be able to retake the test. Abba said on their website that he needed the full 36 session course (usually not taken until after they get a learner's). So, I paid for that. He took it and passed but DMV says that isn't what he should have taken - he should have taken an 8 hour course. Obviously, we'd be a lot closer to a learner's permit if my son had only had to do the 8 hour class.... And, my niece used Abba for the driving component and her mom specifically asked for a female driver and was assured that that would be the case. On the first day, a male driver was there who said they don't have female drivers. Don't trust anything they say.

Compared to classes I have heard about this one I think was definitely better. There is no Friday night classroom session that you have to do and you get on the bike on the first day. Class ran for about 2-3 hours each morning and then for the rest of the day you learn to ride. I would definitely advise anyone that wants to get their motorcycle lesson!
