So I didn't think twice about the check because I knew it would clear. The next day or so I got the meanest voice mail on my phone. To quote," I hope you have the money in the bank because you wouldn't want the pay my check bouncing fee of 35 dollars and then there is your bank fee". Then she ramble on about not returning her call. I felt I was borrowing money from a loan shark. I felt like two guys were ready to break my legs as soon as I got out of my house. The thing is that she spoke with so much hate in her voice, like I had stolen her money and she wanted it back. I work hard for my money and at times I went to Check N Go to get extra money to make thing break even, but never again. Never Again! Don't let the kind face fool you, because if for some reason you can't make it in on time, you will be getting a call from her and its not going to be nice. She made me feel like a common criminal for borrowing money. I will keep her voice message on my phone to remind me never to go to Check n Go again . Navy Fed is nationwide So, I got online and registered for a savings and a money market account. The sign up was quick and painless, and we were members before we knew it. We went into this location and were shocked by the modern set up. It is very up to date, clean, and logical - you check in at the front desk where a friendly face greets you and triages your needs. You then proceed to a waiting area and wait for either a teller or an agent to assist. That day we deposited money and cashed out savings bond. Everything went smoothly and we were in and out in about 20 minutes. All of the staff was friendly and welcoming. There are TVs in the waiting area if you have to wait for an extended time. There is a drive thru and ATM at this location. All in all we are very pleased with our membership!

It's a rarity that I actually get in the teller line nowadays since the NFCU app is pretty robust to do check deposits with a snap of a photo as well as easy $ transfer from/to any NFCU accounts. I have been very happy with my past engagements with NFCU's loan (mortgage, auto) departments and like the immediate responsiveness of their credit card fraud department when they flag potential fraudulent transactions. I do miss that NFCU no longer has coin counting machines (allowed customers to have their coins counted and deposited directly into NFCU accounts) in any of their branch locations.
