I've had numerous accounts with them - personal checking/savings, business checking/savings, child checking/savings, Christmas club, auto loan, credit card, etc - and the one thing I can count on is that I will get exactly what I need for my banking needs with the ultimate customer service to go along with it. You wouldn't think you could feel personally connected to a bank, but I do. They have worked with me through many life changes and their approach is definitely more personal than the national bank chains. (See my review on Wells Fargo)

I have been a loyal customer of CFCU for over 25 years, but am leaving them because the last 5…read moreyears their service has become simply awful. It seems ever since they built their new headquarters on Cty. CB outside of Appleton, they have not pursued customer excellence. Case in point: my husband and I had acquired and paid off two mortgages, two personal loans, and a car loan with them over the first 20 years, and then when asking for a new credit card they would not issue one until we had a secured card with them for over a year. Fine, we did that, but since we got the CC, the VISA department has messed up on where to send our statements twice, did not credit the amount transferred to the balance, and now TWICE they have added payment credits from prior months back onto the balance. This is ridiculous! And when I call the service line, I keep getting dropped. Three times I requested a call back, and each time they call, the call drops as soon as I pick up! Speaking with a rep today and got dropped again. Unbelievable.

Adjustments to our policies based on these changing needs were always tended to. And, yes, we ran into a payment deadline as well. The Bock staff caught it, we were notified, and I hand delivered a check to their office to make up for our oversight. Simple. We moved out of state last year to tend to aged parents. If Bock were licensed in our new home state we would still be clients.

I dropped my vehicles from my policy in order to save $1200/year. I was getting them set up and forgot to mail in my homeowners insurance payment. It was a human error that I take full responsibility for. I got a letter on March 20th stating I would be cancelled if payment wasn't received by March 30th. On April 4th, the check was cashed. On April 14th a new check that was issued to me, was in my mailbox. Now I am without insurance for over 30 days. You might not know this, but I'm sure that they do, but this is a big deal. So now I am upset and I call my agent. He says hi to me using my first name. So I am in his phone as a client. He basically tells me to contact the agent that took over my vehicles as he can't help me. This is how they help you. They take your money until you actually need them to stand up for you, then they tell you they can't help. I am paying for trusting this stranger with my well-being. He doesn't care about anyone but himself. Be aware of that.
