I had the wonderful opportunity to shop at this uniquely curated shop just a few days before Christmas. I came in just to get a few essentials while traveling, as from my online research, this is pretty well the only store in Marfa to get underwear lol, y ended up spending $600 doll hairs here, & NO REGRETS!!! Not only are they dog-friendly, but they are welcoming y encouraging of their patrons to bring in their furry family members! The owner, Kate, was extremely helpful, patient, & warm. The rest of the staff are also extremely helpful and kind, very customer service oriented. The store is not only hermosa, pero the expert-level selection is out of this world! They carry gorgeous clothing for both men y women, dog bandanas, jewelry, crystals, belts y other accessories. Feast your eyes on my bought prizes from here via my attached pics - a beautiful, cool gold necklace with a cowboy boot (Kate told me this necklace is v popular there & sells out a lot, so if you want one & there's one available in the store when you go, definitely treat yo self!), 5 pairs of underwear y 1 bra (legit the comfiest, best quality underwear in my arsenal now), a dog bandana for my Archie boi, y 5 crystals. Just to reiterate the unmatched level of customer service Kate ensures to provide for her customers - the chain on my new cowboy boot necklace actually broke just a few hours after i left the store. I returned to the store the following day, & Kate offered me both options of a full refund or a replacement necklace! Of course I opted for the replacement necklace; I'm obsessed with it, & so glad i could get it replaced so easily - TYSM, Kate!! Be sure to visit this amazing shop if you're traveling in/around Marfa - this boutique is my fav, & I can't wait to see what i find on my next visit! read more

I had the best experience here 2 years ago and was SO looking forward to shopping there again last week for spring break. 2 years ago our son adored an embroidered shirt of cowboys that is just precious and beautiful. He still has it and wears it proudly! We made a few bigger ticket purchases back then and the sales associates went above and beyond to help and let him try on and explore. This time around my experience was the complete opposite. We got the rudest looks from the 2 female sales associates. They never spoke a word to us, just glared in annoyance at us. I did buy a bolo tie but never got a thank you or a "how are you?" Or "can I help you find anything or try anything on?" It was above and beyond cold, rude behavior and I will gladly support other stores there in the future. Such a bummer. read more

Although we were not chased out of the store like another reviewer, I found the experience at this store obnoxious. That's too bad, too, because the products were high quality. There is a very good selection of Stetson hats, as well as some clothing, pottery, Pendleton wool blankets, jewelry, and rocks. It was not cheap, but that's okay. There was a hipster sucking a lollipop behind a counter. He never greeted us or made eye contact. We weren't shabbily dressed, not that that should matter. And, my husband was wearing a Stetson hat. Ironic to be roundly ignored in a store selling something one of us was wearing. This type of person/behavior is what Huff Post and others warn about happening to Marfa. It's a great town with interesting history and friendly locals (and many friendly transplants), but this guy was an embarrassment. read more

I spent over $1000 at this store and absolutely love everything I bought. When I got home I worried maybe I got caught up in the moment while at the store and would regret my purchases...nope, I loved everything I bought even more when I got home. And I got so many things I can mix and match. I do a lot of shopping and I've never found a better curated collection of clothing, accessories, belts, jewelry & other curiosities. The shop owner was friendly & helpful without being even the slightest bit pushy as was the shop keeper who helped me when I went back the next day. A+! read more

So, while walking around Marfa for the first time I wandered into this fine establishment with a friend. At first glance it looked like any other store; interesting clothes, some local artwork, rocks. As my friend and I began to look at the Stetson hats, an eccentrically flamboyant stranger sidled up next to us and proffered a slice from a gigantic loaf of focaccia. "Get a piece from the bottom, that's where the olive oil is." he suggested. Goodness, that bread was heavenly. This gentleman, Patrick, then began to compliment my friend, who had donned a snappy looking Stetson hat. We noticed the $180 price tag and immediately began hemming and hawing. At which point Patrick cloaked himself in a beautiful Native-American shawl, plucked the hat off of my friend, placed it atop his own head, leapt onto a couch, and snapped his fingers at an assistant. "Quick! A picture for our Instagram!" he cried. My friend and I were exquisitely bemused. We left with a $20 baseball hat but could not get this guy and his marvelous hat outta our minds so an hour later we returned so my friend could get that Stetson. Will definitely visit Patrick again next time I'm in Marfa. read more

What a cool place! You can tell the owner is passionate about his craft, and it shows with every inch of the store layout. Beautiful pottery, jewelry, clothing, art and other miscellaneous goods! I ended up leaving with some lovely crystals and hand-crafted silver earrings. I appreciated the owners great conversation, as well as the recommendations of other things to do around Marfa. Great store! High quality hats, apparel, pottery, jewelry and rocks. Some of the stuff is pricey but not everything. Staff were a great mix of friendly, knowledgeable and laid back. One of our kids has autism and they tirelessly answered his rapid fire questions and engaged him in conversation. Pet friendly to boot! read more

The two people working were such a joy to be around and they gave off wonderful energy. The collection of items sold were splendid from rocks and stones, to great lifetime hats. The hand sanitizer at the front, and the mask requirement kept my mind at ease knowing that the store is doing whatever they can the keep everything safe and sanitized. Good news: the store is an amazing compilation of traditional treasures and new discoveries. Bad news: the owner is a nightmare of artist angst. He was extremely unprofessional and moody. Rude to his customers and rude to his staff. The sales associate was super sweet and she was very helpful in showing us around, making sure we saw everything. Then John Patrick came out of no where from the back in a huff, proclaimed that he wanted something "more" than the music that was playing, changed it to something way more club like (remember this is Marfa) and blared the music. It was super uncomfortable to witness. Then he ran over to my friend who took her phone out to check a txt message and aggressively explained to her in an accusing tone that no pictures were allowed. She was kind and told him she was just texting, but by that time, what remaining good mood had completely vanished in the wake of his storming away to find a new victim. I'm sorry, but haughtiness does not an artist make. All in all, such an awesome store, but if you see John Patrick coming, don't buy into his superiority complex. Simply head down the way to smiles and true artists who appreciate their work enough to appreciate their customers. read more

Not one to ever write reviews but after this experience I felt it was only right to do so. Never have I ever been treated with such disrespect as my family and I were treated while we were in this store. Unbeknownst at the time by John Patrick himself. We quietly browsed for less than 10 minutes, admiring the merchandise while the only apparent "employee" was just walking around and doing his thing when all of a sudden in a disgruntled and annoyed tone said "that's it I'm done, I'm closing leave now" went to the entrance door, opened it, did not look any of us in the eyes said nothing more and waited for us to exit. Unbelievable treatment we left in dismay and shock. Why let a man like this in Marfa? Not cool! read more
