Basically Good Care, Lousy phone system. The staff need to be told, however, that the Patient makes the Ultimate Health Care decision, not the Staff. They are often too busy, to listen to the Patient, and get irritated if you try to get them to listen. They get irritated if you cannot understand their Version of English. They are Good People, no doubt of that. I am OK with the medical care, dental care (huge waiting list, tho), but wondering about the quality of their Optometrists. Upon my first visit due to a minor toothache, I was told I needed to have a root canal and once done, come back for a crown. I found an endodontist to do the root canal, had it completed, called back to schedule the crown and could not get an appointment for 2-3 months out. I explained that the filling for the root canal was temporary and that I was told to get the crown asap. I was told by OLE that my doctor only worked 1 day a week and that I would be out on a waiting list. I am not sure how this place survives? I asked for another doctor and the receptionist said my doctor was the only one that would do it. Now I have to work with my insurance company to get referred to another dentist. It should be illegal for this place to be open. There are some major flaws in how they operate this place. While the doctors themselves are fantastic - they are operating within a system that is poorly designed by upper management. I've been a long time patient at Ole Health. I recently got pregnant and at 9 weeks I lost my baby. Prior to the miscarriage I had been calling for 4 days straight to see if there was any advice they could give me because I was just spotting for 2 days. I wasn't in pain or bleeding, but I really wanted to prevent a miscarriage. On day 3 the doctor gave me inconclusive answers, and I felt as though she was patronizing. The nurse I spoke to asked me what I had done to cause this. She asked me that twice. I asked Heidi if I should go to work or rest or what to do and she said it was fine, standing all day wouldn't cause any harm. Anyways, later the next day I lost my baby. I called the office to see if I could speak to Heidi just to make sure I was correct, and had a miscarriage. I was never called back by her. She just had a nurse speak to me to tell me to go get some lab work done. This was the last time I will ever step foot there. I called for 4 days begging for help, advice, tips anything and was just turned away and left to figure this out on my own. Perhaps I am just being sensitive, but If you have the option to go somewhere else, I would. No woman should ever be treated the way I was. I fought for my baby's life and was not taken seriously. Find someone who truly cares. I'm sure there are still good doctors out there. Ole just isn't it. read more

One takes what one is offered and this is about it for low income people, but it is not really care. First of all the constant rotating of doctors means no one ever knows or cares about you. I have gotten to the point I tell very little and just do the basics that any one might be able to do. I was told to call for a same day appointment if my pneumonia wasn't better after a weekend so I called when they opened at 8 only to be told the phones open at 7 , which was no where on the website. So of course no appointment. The only good part about ole is the pharmacy, they are very helpful and the pharmacist takes time in person to talk and explain things. Maybe if I had an actual physician who knew me they would have cared enough to make sure I had a follow up appointment. Maybe this is just the state of healthcare in the us now. read more

Just made an appointment for my daughter. It is July right now. The soonest appointment they could get us was December. I've been going here since 2009. This used to be the best clinic in the all of the North Bay. I lived in Sonoma and traveled to Ole for appointments because they were so good. I've never seen this crazy amount of overworked doctors and long wait times. It is the worst it has ever been right now in 2023. After all that COVID funding. After the pandemic has been over for almost a year. I'm downright angry at this. My kids need these appointments to maintain their services and health. My CHILDREN will lose out on services unless they can get these appointments in under FIVE MONTHS. I know Napa is a huge reason for this problem. I just wish Ole would be honest with the public and tell Napa that they can't do it anymore. They cannot handle it. Which means we need some type of competition or other services for the very large Medicaid population in this County. Such a staggering fall from grace. A great clinic founded by members of the Farmworkers Union. Chavez would cry if he saw what was happening with the Clinic Ole system in Napa County. Ole needs to drop patients immediately and Napa must do whatever it takes to fill in the gaps. Just stop accepting new patients. Called for refill 3 times and didn't get it done, told to go to ER.( update; they stopped accepting fax refill requests from CVS and didn't tell anybody about it but they will blame the patient when you call them for not calling , so typical of this uncaring organization. I have depression and severe panic attacks. First Dr Pinon decided to tell me that I in fact am a complete loser because I work retail (which was frankly none of her business) and the tried to talk me out of the medication that has kept me sane for about 9 year. she suggested yoga and said she would set up an appointment for therapy. as well as informing me that I need some vaccines again. vaccines have not been set up. I have tried calling for appointments and gotten n answer. I cannot set up one online because it says I do not exist in the system anymore. I have ran out of my much needed medication and the Dr is not refilling them or setting up an appointment nor is the clinic answering calls. At this rate and with the fact that doctors in Napa are not taking Medi-Cal it looks like I might end up self harming or something else major because I am not getting the needed treatment. No one's home Been calling for 3 weeks to set an appointment for a possible infection and no one will pick up the phone. I've called all 3 locations and nothing. This isn't the first time this has happened where it took weeks to get someone on the phone but weeks to get an appointment as well. They keep using Covid as an excuse but I'm pretty sure people wouldn't mind doing a phone appointment but you can't get a phone appointment when nobody picks up the damn phone. I don't know what the hell is going on in Solano County and why they have such crappy health care providers for the poor who have medi-cal or medicaid. There isn't a lot of people who use these services and the few that do all have Kaiser or NorthBay so again why isn't anyone picking up the phone? Why does it take weeks to see a doctor or PA? Recently came in for a medical consultation at the pear tree location. The front office receptionist greeted me and were extremely attentive to my needs. I was helped by their health center manager Wendy, whom explained and meet with me to discuss medical financial concerns. She was able to get me in to see Dr. Piont a few minutes after our meeting. I was in and out within an hour. The service both Wendy and Dr. Pinot provided was extraordinary. Will be back to see them both soon. read more

I'm in a lot of pain but feel like I am out of options. The last thing I can do is write a poor review of my collective experiences this past year, starting in May 2019. I am going to try and write an honest review, but I want you to understand that my experiences may not reflect your own. I don't want this to deter people from seeking help. Even I had to "just try", so please if you need help -- just try. I started experiencing chronic pain in 2017. I had to fight to get them to remove an IUD that I felt was responsible. Only a couple weeks later after the removal, my pain was resolved. I continued to have residual symptoms, heavy bleeding and swollen feet being the most debilitating of them. My swollen feet were excruciatingly painful to walk on and felt like pins and needles for days on end. I had to fight not to see someone even then because of my previous experiences of this place. I had just hoped that in time that my body would heal from the IUD, and the feet at least did. The swollen feet were horrible to deal with sure, but it was nothing like what I would expect in May of 2019. Starting in the late spring, I started to have severe abdominal pain, back pain, as well as UTI symptoms. Let me explain to you this: when I was 12-years-old, I had an appendicitis that ruptured. I got a fever as high as 106 degrees and was in so much pain, it is difficult to explain how that feels. My best description is your body is on fire. That is my pain level 10; in May of 2019, my pain levels were 7-8 at their worst *regularly* and 6 was my new normal. I could no longer volunteer, work or do any of the things I love to do. I was a prisoner to my bed. I had to go to the hospital under some of these instances where my pain level reached a 9. The service at the Queen is a whole new level of sorry and I would only be able to give them one star. That is for another time though and this review is exclusively for Clinic Ole. Since the start, doctors and other care providers have attacked me for being an opiate abuser. Let me tell you how difficult it is to be in level 7-8 pain daily and not be able to have that sort of help, for one, but two it is the master of reasons to refuse to provide care for your patient. It took until November for anyone to do anything to suggest what the pain might be, and after that I am still in a lot of pain. I recently saw my primary care provider again in which they pushed on me to see help for mental health. Apparently, bloodwork that I had done back in July was also lost and never put into my records, so they scolded me for that as well. I accepted the counselor referral and received a phone call from that department only a couple of days later; the woman on the phone told me my primary care referred me for "post-partum depression". Maybe I don't understand what that fully means, but I've never had a kid in my life so I am not quite sure why they'd refer me for that. Because of this though, I declined. I'm not going to sit in front of a counselor and rant about my pain they'll know nothing and little about and have no specialty in. It seems pointless. Now I can't even imagine myself making an appointment with Clinic Ole at all, despite being in a lot of pain today with no solution. I'm also only in my 20s, so I feel like I'm screwed for life. read more

I went in yesterday with a medical emergency tooth ache.. stood at the front door socially distanced 6 feet per person... when I finally got to the front door... they told me I have to go to the back door where there was ANOTHER line! Clinic Ole Health told me I could just call.. and wrote me out a phone number and said call it in the morning.. Now it is the morning... I called the number which is all in foreign Languages for answers... I waited on the line for over Half Hour... finally they answer in foreign languages.... and I finally got them to actually speak English.. they said: Oh! you have to call another phone number! omg... such incompetence ... I was scheduled to see Liz Gabdamez with Patient Services yesterday and I went to Ole Health in Napa and I was subjected to sick patients during the corona virus epidemic. Liz could of called me on the phone but no I had to waste my time and make a trip to see her. Liz had NO services for me and did NOTHING this was a total waste! Today, I received a voice mail with no last name or phone number and it was Liz rambling on for five minutes telling me I could collect unemployment NO I can't my company gave me NO benefits. If Liz was competent she would of seen this is why I was referred to her in the first place. Liz Gabdamez is unprofessional and incompetent and someone should teach her how to leave her full name and phone number so a patient can return her call!! I went to the dental clinic here. Dentist seemed adequate. I have no dental issues, so only require a basic cleaning and exam. Like so many dental clinics which serve poor people and immigrants, there is no attention paid to the look or feel of the clinic, but that is par for the course. At least this location is clean- more than I can say for many of the other dental options. What tanks this rating is the front desk staff. Like so much of OLE health staff, the staff are there to serve themselves and (maybe the) doctors.Patients are expected to bend over backward to accommodate their needs. While pretty much every dental office in the United States books six months out for an appointment to work with bi-annual cleanings most patients need, OLE only opens its books 6 to 8 weeks in advance of appointments. Patients are expected to call in on the first of the month to see if they can grab one of the few new available appointments. For me, this meant I called in for six months in a row before I managed to reach staff AND have an appointment open. Par for the course, OLE staff scheduled an appointment eight weeks out. Then, a week prior to my first appointment, a staff member phoned to cancel for some random reason. They offered to put me on the cancelled list or offered that I could wait another three months for a potential appointment with the caveat that if I didn't take what was offered when it opened, I would have to book an appointment two months further out from the date that I gave up hope they would look at their cancellation list. The first offer came with a whopping 45 minutes notice. Staff seemed confused that I was unwilling to drop everything on a Tuesday afternoon and race to make an appointment at an office 30 miles from my home. Eventually I was rescheduled with a grand 48 hours notice. Unfortunately, even after you become a patient, you are continually expected to play this stupid, time consuming game to get an appointment. They recommended I come back in a year. Of course, I can't book until two months before the next needed appointment, there is no preference for established patients and I begin the call, beg, OLE cancels, wait... wait... wait.. if I ever want help. This office could be massively improved with the addition of an annual scheduling book, available at office supply stores for $20. read more

Ole Health is an improvement over Kaiser. I'm able to schedule appointments that don't conflict with work, the doctors&nurses are a great team. It's a pleasant place, much nicer than what Kaiser had become. It's no surprise they have plans to expand this building as well as add a South Napa campus. Pros- Great team of physicians&nurses. The neighboring Quest Diagnostics is convenient for labs/blood work. It's clean. They even have reading material. I was able to get my necessary paperwork for insurance. They accept a lot of insurance providers- including a sliding scale for those who don't. They have an onsite pharmacy. Cons- The parking lot gets crowded quickly, so schedule for early appointments. Sometimes their faxes/printers are down&there are miscommunications. It can be a bureaucratic mess if you're switching from one provider to another. Luckily, they got my medical records from my previous doctor. Their pharmacy is tiny&looks understaffed. Luckily, Ole Health is working on expansion&improvement. They have professional, helpful doctors&nurses, and truly care about their patients. read more

I have been to this location several times and I've liked the doctors that I have seen, although this last visit I was given an order for x-ray since I went in for rib pain.. The clinic urges you to use their patient portal an app for your phone and tablet so you can see your lab results. So they did send me my results for the rib x-rays that said they were "abnormal" that's all .... No call no doctor or nurse to tell me What the Abnormality the X-ray found.. Who would do that... After a 50 min hold.Office staff said they were to busy to give me information and maybe someone will call me tomorrow... I pay for this Neglect.!!!! Aweful.. TERRIBLE PATIENT CARE!! read more

I'm normally not a Yelper, but I was compelled to create an account just to leave this review. This has to be the worst medical facility I have ever seen. I took my partner here when he injured his ankle because he is currently without insurance. For $45 the doctor without even examining the ankle, told him to go get an X-ray. After getting those X-rays I made appointment 2 for 10:15 this morning. Upon showing up, on time, we were told the appointment was for 11:30. I told them they were mistaken. I confirmed the time on the phone and wrote it down as I did so. 10:15 sounds nothing like 11:30. Nevertheless they said if we wait they might see him early. We have now been waiting an hour. 45 minutes ago I was told he might be next, but at least a dozen other people have been called since. Do not go to this place. The doctors are inept. The staff is clearly incompetent. There has to be a better option in Napa. If not, it is worth the drive to go to a decent clinic out of town. Do not give this sham of a clinic any more business. If I could give less than one star, I would. read more

The staff and doctors here at the clinic are wonderful. Wait time for appointments is minimal. When there was something they were unsure of they referred me to a specialist in that specific field. Even when my PCP is unavailable my daughter and/I have been given same day appointments with another physician. The physician we are assigned to remembers us each time we visit, which is not often. That in its self is comforting. I would recommend this clinic to others. read more

This place is absolutely horrible! It is no better than a cattle yard. There are only PAs (physician assistants) not real doctors here seeing patients. I have had multiple bad experiences here. One time the told me I had cancer and to go home and be with my family...turns out it wasn't cancer. Another time I had my doctor sit there for over thirty minutes with her hand covering her face as I tried unsuccessfully to communicate with her. On another visit I asked about having a metal implant checked on because there is a recall on the devices and they have been known to fail and kill people. The doctor told me "I really don't think it is a problem" and refused to address the situation. So in conclusion: if you have a basic cold or something you should be ok but for anything more serious you might want to look for a more qualified clinic. read more

If I was to give this clinic NO stars, It'd be better. My father was an establish patient at this clinic for the longest time. He was seeing a PA whom she never followed up on my father's health, and after a year, he has not still hear from his provider to follow up on his health. She was the, Neuro, psych, hem, ortho, and you name it. My dad was never refer to a specialist he is 76yrs old and has a lot of issues. My dad was told once he had a disease in his blood of which they could not do anything about it. Came to find out after I switch medical care outside of Napa. He was Diagnosed with Low B-cell Lymphoma, the specialist told me he had it for the past 5 or 6 years, my dad now brought the puzzle together from the time Ole told him. Thank god its not aggressive, but PATIENT CARE is first, I feel this clinic Don't care about the patients they see. Thank god we're out of here. My sister in law is a very new mom with sever postpartum and anxiety, she chose to stop breastfeeding and feels very guilty, my niece has her days and night mixed up and stays up crying most of the night. My sister is doing the best she can and feels like shit constantly because she feels like is isnt doing anything right.... which is not true, she is an amazing mom, she does the best she can, and as a breastfeeding mother I fully support her decision to stop nursing and use formula. Every baby is different and only it's mother knows what best and I fully support that. ANYWAYS..... so my sister brings in my niece and they are seen by Dr Jose Luis Nunez Gallegos, And he badgers my sister for not breastfeeding, very rudely tells her she is feeding my niece to much, and if that ain't enough tells her that she needs to let my niece cry and leave her alone.. my sister left the clinic in tears feeling like the worst mom in the world. I don't think this dr should be making new mothers feel like shit... it's not right at all!! read more

Everytime ive been here in the past two weeks ive had to wait for almost an hour in the waiting room even arriving early for appts. Then my son hurt his arm they sent me to the emergency room because they dont do xrays. My dr was extremely rude because i told her i didnt want to see a dietician. She didnt even want to help me with any of my issues because they dont have weight loss programs. The staff isnt helpful and if you ask them for any extra services they get an attitude.
