It's Feb and we've already been here twice. The first time, my oldest son needed to get stitches…read morebecause he fell during sensory hour at a trampoline place. The front desk was/is AMAZING. It was my first time taking my son to the ER and you can def tell I had the mommy jitters. I didn't know what to expect and bringing my son who is nonverbal, autistic, and ADHD...you just worry as a momma. The nurses and doc in the back were fantastic. We were there for about 2.5-3 hours, which I think makes sense because we also had to get my son some of their numbing ointment before performing the stitches. They were so informative and so understanding with my son. The doc was fantastic with my son when doing the stitches and def quick hands. At the end of this visit, he ended up walking out with 3 stitches. 2nd Visit - my son woke up with the right side of his face super swollen. It was 6:30 in the morning and I literally put on a jacket and took him straight here. I also couldn't think of another place that was open at that time and his pediatrican didn't open up until 8 so...you can see why I decided here. There is Urgent Care parking next to the building and since I'm experienced I was able to bring a packed backpack with things to keep him occupied. We got checked in and brought to the back quickly like the last time. The nurses were fantastic and listened to our concern and what was going on with our little guy (nothing new, no new detergent, no new foods - what is going on?!) They kept me updated along the way with EVERYTHING they were planning on doing and explaining the reason why. It was scary but relieving at the same time. We ended up getting admitted to the hospital upstairs (which I am so grateful I decided to take him to the UR here). Again, everyone in the ER were wonderful and I HIGHLY recommend this place for kids. Thank you!

So, when my son was having trouble breathing and we took him to St. Mary's in the middle of the…read morenight, I wasn't even thinking that they had a pediatric ER! We headed to the regular side and the kind men in the vestibule stopped us and directed us to another door, which was the opening to the pediatric ER. The whole experience was great. We were able to check in immediately, then we waited about 45min for triage. Once we got in to triage, they did a quick explanation of what was going on and sent us to a room immediately. I really appreciated that, as breathing issues are nothing to play with. It was extremely validating that they saw fit to treat us right away. Once we were in the room, the doctor came in within about 5-10 minutes. He was nice, but kind of loud and quick? I don't know how else to explain it. He wasn't my absolute favorite, but he got the job done. Let us know what was going on, and ordered x rays and treatment. The x rays were done shortly after and then a nurse came in to give meds. The only negative I would say is that we sat there waiting for a really long time without any explanation of what was going on. I thought we were waiting for them to start a certain treatment on my son, but they never came and did it. So finally someone came in to check on him and updated me that they decided not to do the treatment, that he looked good, and I guess all the wait was for them to observe him to see if he got better after the initial dose of meds. All fine and good! I just wish that someone had updated us on the treatment plan so we knew why we were waiting. Anyway, we were discharged around 2:30am and my son was definitely showing signs of improvement. I was really happy with the nurse who helped us. She was an angel and continued to ask us if we had any questions, which we did and she answered so patiently. Kidmed is only open from 2pm-8 or 9pm, and of course the doctor's office is only open during business hours, so whenever my kids get sick outside of those hours, I am definitely coming back to the St. Mary's Pediatric ER!

Lobby is clean and my children love looking all the fish tank and all the colorful fish while waiting in the lobby. Due to COVID-19 Chippenham Pediatrics has a new system for check-in that I highly recommend. The new check-in system is electronic. Once you arrive for your scheduled appointment you can now check-in online and you are asked to wait in the parking lot until your room is ready. When your room/provider is ready you will receive a phone call to come inside and you will be directed straight to your room to meet with your provider. We have been impressed with the quality of care and glad we decided to switch to Chippenham Pediatrics.

He actually takes his time with your children and isn't "in and out" within 5 minutes. It's sad that you go to other doctor offices questioning things when you leave because it seems like you spent more time with the nurse than the doctor. I have seen my fair share of pediatricians moving around Ohio, then out to California, and a few other cities in Virginia. Every doctor we have seen at the Harbour Point location has been great. This is by far the best pediatric office we have been to. I highly recommend Dr. Ayers as your child's pediatrician.

The wait time is always little to none when I've visited this location and the x-ray tech was super gentle with my child as they were in pain from an injury. They also offered my child a popsicle while waiting. My child loves coming here vs there pediatricians office with screaming kids in every other room.

The staff who I've encountered have been pleasant and super helpful. They even reached out to my old doctor and hospital in Washington state to get all of my records as this facility does not use epic (mychart). I saw Dr. Cassidy today and she was absolutely fantastic. She took the time to get to know me and listened to any and all concerns I had. She has a great bedside manner and thoroughly explained what she was doing. While no one really likes the annual exam process, she made me feel very comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Cassidy and the team at Virginia Women's center.

Dr. Prillaman is the best OB-GYN in Richmond. He is the OB-GYN that the health professionals…read more(including me) see. He has amazing bedside manner and is an innovator in the field using laparoscopic and robotic surgery. I had a very complex issue that had to be resolved surgically. Dr. Prillaman expertly and warmly walked me and my family through the procedure and positive prognosis. The day of surgery presented a more challenging case than expected and he still handled it professionally and promptly, acting quickly in surgery to do what was best for me. Most of all, his expert hand was able to completely resolve the issue without comprising my reproductive health. I trust him wholeheartedly to care for me and to be in charge of delivering my children when the day comes.

It took 40 minutes for them to move me to the back. And it only happened after the nurse was approached by the ultrasound technician and asked why I was still sitting in the hall. I get back in the room and wait another 30 to 49 minutes. I then left, as my time is more valuable then to be waiting with no updates, disclosures or even initial care. It was unprofessional, and I was very disappointed. They have to do better. The lack of diversity is apparent as well as the lack of professionalism.

Their technology is also a major hurdle; the check-in texts send you to forms that don't work, and their app doesn't actually facilitate insurance uploads or check-ins as promised. Combined with the high staff turnover, it's lost the reliability it once had. I'm hoping things get better soon.

I went to their office for chest congestion a few weeks ago. I was told I could have antibiotics if…read moreI wanted them, but I chose not too. I was told to call back if I was still feeling bad. Today I called in to ask for antibiotics because I am still having the same chest congestion and was told by my doctor's nurse to go to urgent care and ask them for antibiotics/xray. I was under the impression the point of having a primary care doctor was to have the same people taking care of you. Also since I already had a visit for chest congestion it does not seem fair not to help with that as apart of that appointment.
