The floors in the building are vacuumed once a month and the laundry room floor is never mopped. Each bldg. has a garbage room, with no vents, inside the bldg., so the hallways always smell like hot garbage. In the winter, there is NO PARKING. First, you have to move your car out of the complex, onto the street, then walk back to your apartment. Then, they do a crappy job plowing, so there are about half the parking spots there should be. Then you have to walk back out to get your car. And if you don't move your car, they fine you $100. Repairs are made, pretty quickly, but a piece of trim I'm leaving them out. Don't move here.

NOTE--This is a review from my TOUR of the complex…read more Gorgeous property! The young lady that took me and my boyfriend on a tour of the complex several weeks ago was super friendly and sweet. I'll be moving to NY in the summer time after I graduate from school in California. We saw the 1 bedroom apartment and it was just perfect! 712sq ft felt like the perfect size for us both and my small service dog. I loved their clubhouse, the walking trails, the thank you letter they sent us after we checked them out, and the price is waaaayyy better than anything I've ever found in the Bay Area haha. I'm so ready to call Drumlin Heights home, and I've still got my eye on the townhouse model they offer. The only thing I didn't particularly like about the 1 and 2 bedroom units is that these units all share a main entry and then you find your specific door. These halls were pretty tight and dark, they kind of felt like a New York City apartment complex, like what you see in movies. That's why I want to see the townhomes that have private entries and their own garage!

I felt the need to leave a review due to the lack of recent reviews and that the two low reviews…read moreare from 10 years ago. I absolutely love Westminster place. We have been here just over 6 months now and have had such an easy and enjoyable time living here. First off I absolutely love all of the trees throughout the property and how tucked away it feels. During the long winter months where most of the area is brown and bleak it's always nice to come home to dusted white evergreens. They upkeep the whole area very nicely as well and It is very walkable compared to nearby apartments. Next, they have recently done renovations on the buildings. The first 6 buildings have been completely redone and I believe they are doing a few buildings each summer. The renovation process was not bad as well. We were living there at the time of our building being renovated and they were very communicative of when certain things were to be done. The office staff, and maintenance staff have all been incredibly responsive and helpful. Anytime we have put in a maintenance request, they would fix it the very next day. All of the staff is very laidback yet professional. They have been excellent at maintaining the grounds through the winter as well. They always Salt and plow in a timely manner. I have never had any problems leaving to get to my job in the morning. In the beginning of my lease the office staff was very easy to email or call with any questions I had regarding how to pay rent or bills. This apartment complex is very very animal friendly. It seems almost every single person has an animal! So you will see people walking their dogs at every hour of the day. I have also never noticed a problem with dog poop anywhere. You do have to pay a dog or cat fee each month, it is just added onto your monthly rent. The last thing I wanted to point out was that although we can hear our neighbors often, and I'm sure it's much nosier on the bottom floor, this is just one of those things that comes with apartment living. If you are concerned with noise level then request to be on the second story. As a second story resident the only time I find it "noisy" is someone talking right outside our front door. I can sometimes here music or TV but it is not loud or bothersome by any means. The new windows they have put in this past year have also damped the sounds of the John Glen highway and air conditioning units so much!! Hopefully this review was helpful for anyone who got through it all. My job will be relocating from 5 mins away to 30 mins away and I was going to move closer to my job. But considering how much we have liked living here. I will plan on renewing my lease instead.

We found management easy to communicate with, and prompt when dealing with requests, questions and maintenance concerns. The space was a good size for us, the property was reasonably well maintained, but there are only two reasons it doesn't get 5 stars: 1. The noise from the apartment above can be frustrating, even if you have courteous neighbors. The floors creak, and they must be thin because although it's muffled, you can still hear TVs, phone conversations, etc. MOST OF THE TIME this is really not a problem. It's very muffled so you can only really notice it if you have total silence in your place, but we noticed it more because it would occasionally wake up our infant son during the night. 2. While the apartments and the property are well-maintained, they can suffer from mold on the window panes, shower lining and bathroom walls. It's not out of control, but it's definitely there. If you don't mind wiping it up here and there, it won't be a problem at all. The value here is really great, especially when compared with city prices, and the property feels very safe and friendly to me. The pool is small, but never too busy. The fitness center is basic, but has what you need for a complete workout. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend moving to the area, just with the caveats mentioned above.

Big and easy to spread out, yet there are benches that make it easy to sit and mingle. There's a grill so tenants can enjoy cooking and gathering there too. Security seems pretty tight and the tenants always seem pretty pleasant in passing so from the outside it seems like it might be a nice place to live. Definitely not a bad place to visit, especially since there are so few rooftop spaces in Syracuse. If you ever get the opportunity to catch a rooftop yoga class here, DO IT.

The apartments are spacious with high end finishes and quality appliances (high ceilings, polished cement floors, granite counter tops, stainless steel etc). Building amenities include an incredible ROOFTOP with grills and seating, common area with full kitchen, INDOOR PARKING, a more than sufficient gym, bicycle storage, and a game a room with ping pong darts etc. The tenants in the building are all polite and welcoming. .......... If you're looking for an apartment in downtown Syracuse, and there is an available apartment at Merchants, I highly recommend you take it!

No 3x income requirement, our current jobs is okay and more. Once we apply we need 3x monthly rent, our current jobs wasn't enough because we were only there a few months, then we have to find a job in the city near this place, and more. I felt like we were given the run around we had met all requirements prior to signing a application but yet was given more obstacles. Honestly felt like the manager just didn't want us to live there.

It's a great option if you want to live close enough to downtown without paying the high prices of a downtown spot. Mention my name if you decide on getting an apartment here! The staff may have discounts for you! Don't look over this place! This place is a 15minute walk to downtown and Clinton Square. It is very peaceful and close to downtown. Across the street is a Korean restaurant. A 1-bedroom (non-updated) is $930 a month. This is a great deal because the space is huge! A one bedroom here is almost 1,000 square feet and there is a ton of closet space (one hallway closet, one entrance closet, one walk-in closet in the bedroom and a non-walk-in closet in the bedroom AKA his/hers). The living room is huge and the master bedroom is more than enough space for a king sized bed with a couch. What you won't find out about this place online is that this place has amazing views of the city! If you face south, you will see views of the sunset and the Dome/city. If you face north, you'll see views of the sunrise and the lake. The higher the floor, the more amazing the views become. At night, you can see the city sparkle. On top of the great price, utilities are FREE. This includes cable TV, electricity (heat, AC), gas, and water. All the kitchens also have gas stoves. All the units have enclosed balconies (with some charming brick) that help keep the heat in but also make beautiful spots to lounge-in during the summer. One of the best parts about this place is that you can get guaranteed indoor heated garage parking. It's $55/car for self-park or a little more if you want valet-parking (where an attendant parks your car for you). This place has a lot of older folks so it's very peaceful. The walls are thick and made of steel so you do not hear your neighbors. Each floor has it's own laundry machine and floor tenants are assigned 3-hour slots twice a week (you get to pick which slot you want) so no one can hog the machine during your time. If you don't want to do that, there is also a laundry room in the basement open 24-7 for anyone. There is also a free gym downstairs, a hair salon (appointments only) and an Italian restaurant attached to the downstairs lobby area of this place. There is a 24/7 doorman and staff. Your packages are safe here when delivered and guests need to be seen by the doorman before they are allowed to enter the building (they give you a call and confirm if you want them let in). It makes it feel super safe. This place is quirky because each unit looks a little different. You can get carpet or parque wood flooring depending on your liking. Some units are updated (and will cost more) and have a different layout. Staff here are super friendly. They even have a grocery delivery bus that comes twice a week that takes you to the grocery store. They even have a car-washing service in the heated garage. The heated garage is attached to the basement so you never have to bare the harsh winter to go in and out of your unit and carry-in groceries. They even have roller grocery carts you can borrow to bring stuff from your car to your unit. Each floor also has a recycling room and trash chute so you don't have to go far to throw away trash. They also allow cats/dogs (additional fee). Each floor also has a mail chute so you can send envelops/mail without having to go downstairs to the mailbox. Repairmen are also super friendly and prompt about fixing things. The kitchen has a cool pegboard where you can hang stuff (Julia Child style!). They have a vending machine downstairs too so you can get midnight snacks/drinks. They also have a give-a-book-take-a-book shelf where people can peruse and take others' unwanted books.
