In search of assistance with an obscure LED light fixture, I tried stopping here. I stopped at the first counter I saw on the way in just to get directed the right way. Well it turned out to be an order pickup counter, and the guy covering that was useless. He essentially told me to go somewhere else, and when I probed further, he said he'd ask someone, spoke into his earpiece, waiting 15 seconds, then said, "No one answered me", and he was done with me. Meanwhile a customer waiting next to me overheard and suggested I could probably get better assistance at Home Depot, and added, "It would be a lot cheaper for sure." I took a number to wait in a line of 2 people for 4 counter people. After 15 minutes I left. A previous reviewer said "a great place to find anything you will ever possibly need for any project you are doing. Right off the bat". Well, pretty much everything BUT customer service.

Mr. Benny was polite, prompt, and reasonably priced. On March 7, 2024, the request was to rekey…read morefour locks, two for the front door and two for the back door. After removing all locks, Mr. Benny determined that he would not be able to rekey the locks as requested. He then left the premises without notifying or consulting me about the situation, with the vacant house open, and unattended. Although my residence is on the same property, I (the consumer) received no phone call or text. Subsequently, I called the number on the business card and was initially told that he was with someone else at this time and wasn't available. I then explained that he was supposed to be at my house rekeying locks. The person then told me that she would get in touch with him. She did. When Mr. Benny returned to the job, he returned with very different locks (different in color and quality). I then asked Mr. Benny what happened. It was at that time that he explained that he was unable to rekey the locks. I would have liked, and should have had, the opportunity to provide input on any and all changes, BEFORE, Mr. Benny decided how he would resolve the situation. This seems like a reasonable request. Effective communicatIon is a very basic, big, and important part of service and vital for consumer satisfaction. Presumptuousness has no place in business. Additionally, I asked Mr. Benny to return the locks that he removed. He proceeded to tell me why they were no longer any good, but said that he would return them. He did not. The bill also increased from what we agreed on. After unsuccessful attempts to reach Mr. Benny by phone, leaving a voicemail regarding the unreturned locks, but not being contacted; those results prompted me to follow through by posting my concerns. I will conclude this review with the same words that it began with: "Mr. Benny was polite, prompt, and reasonably priced." However, for the reasons stated above, namely the lack of communication and presumptuousness, the service that Mr. Benny provided could have been much better. Unfortunately, my overall experience was not a good one. I did not get the "routine" service that requested and paid for - rekeying.
