I grew up outside NYC and this is the good pizza. We've eaten here and done take out several times and it is, by far, the best pizza we've had since we moved to FL. Terrible service. Server was not attentive at all. Asked for ranch with pizza got charged for it. Which is fine but disclosure of that before hand. Ordered Dr Pepper had a funny taste to it. Told the server they might want to check it as it tasted maybe flat or something. She said oh yeah someone who works here that's all she drinks and she said it taste funny. Didn't drink it and still was charged for it. Never check on for refills or to make sure everything came out okay. I'm very big on customer service and this establishment is lacking big time in that. I love breakfast pizza. It is my absolute favorite food. However, it can be hard to find around Zephyrhills. I am lucky enough to live a few blocks from Commandoughs and I couldn't be happier with their selection of breakfast pizzas! Friendly, attentive staff. Lyric is so easy to like, very personable. Michael is a God in the kitchen and always guarantees a good laugh or two! Overall, it's a nice inviting atmosphere. The food is full of flavor and thoughtfully prepared. This is a fantastic place for a casual meal outside. They have a huge U shaped bar that's half outside and half inside the restaurant. There is a few tables inside but we always choose to sit at the outside bar or the high top tables outside. They also offer corn hole boards, darts and Jenga to play while waiting on food or after. They have trivia nights and music on the weekends. Great atmosphere. The service has never been exceedingly fast, but always friendly and accurate so don't wait until your starving to go. The pizza dough is freshly had tossed and you can see that being done in the kitchen from the bar stools! We've never been disappointed with the pizza or wings ( we've tried the buffalo chicken and the bomb pizzas as well as the hot and the honey Thai wings- yum!!!) the pizzas are huge! The pizza here is fantastic! We drive about 20-25 minutes to get here and pass at least 4 pizza places on the way. It is worth the extra time and mileage to get there. Commandoughs is extremely casual and offers mostly outdoor seating. The draft beer is fresh and the pizza and garlic knots are delicious! Ordered the Calzone "bomb style" caramelized onions, bacon w/ a request of balsamic vinegar reduction drizzled on top. Excellent flavor and well worth my time, they have a few standard issue beers on tap with a few nonstandard as well. They have a bottled beer selection, although I neglected that in favor of a tap beer. Indoor and outdoor seating was adequate for a small group. It is the craziest thing that we ended up here in the first place. We decided to take the back roads from Tampa to Ocala. When we started getting peckish we looked for food in Zephyrhills. We walked in, the service was pretty quick we got our table lickety-split, and Michael seemed to have a hold on everything. One realized about 20 minutes into the adventure that he was a one-man show. He was working the bar, running the tables, and cooking the food. I didn't feel like we waited very long for anything and the food was magnificent. Sometimes you find the best wings in the strangest places. Their hot buffalo wings were the shiznit. My kid had a personal pepperoni pizza that he devoured without coming up for air, and the wife and I split a B.O.M.B. It its a unique idea for a pizza that I hadn't tried before and I was not disappointed. Save the drive. Dirty, smokers everywhere outdoors, bartender was brand new and completely untrained, open tubs of BBQ sauce left out for things to land in it. We love Commandoughs! We've had food from there countless times since they've opened, and have never been disappointed. I love being able to order online. Their pizza is good, but their calzones are my favorite. I love being able to choose my own fillings. My favorite is potato, bacon, and caramelized onions. Their garlic knots are excellent. Update to my last review.... we went again to try it....like I said we really want to like the local spot. Cool atmosphere. They have a great new bartender. She was 'on her game.' Had full drinks the entire time and she was happy and friendly. We were served our pizza...it's pretty good. Not good enough to bring us back after what happened next....we will never go back! We are sitting at the bar, the kitchen is open and behind us. We noticed a waiter took the wrong pizza to a table. The waitress, whose table it belonged to, went to the window at the kitchen and told the chef. He went ballistic! Swearing and f-bombing screaming....no exaggeration here!! Throwing & banging things down on the counters. Mind you it's 7pm. There's a full restaurant and little kids are also there. We were all looking around at each other amazed this was happening! I turned around and made eye contact with him, thinking it might bring him back to think about where he was. Nope didn't matter! His temper tantrum went on for another 5 minutes....maybe longer. This place is hit or miss. Today was a MISS. We ordered the garlic knots and the Warrior (white pizza). The garlic knots were hard as rocks and inedible. The service was very poor. He actually asked us if we wanted plates and silverware. Ummmm...yes. Then the pizza arrived. I've had this pizza before and one time it was really good, so I keep hoping for a repeat. It's never been as good, but today it was so, so, bad. The crust was so thin you could see through it. The grease was pooling on the top and as we started to eat it, we smelled a fishy smell. After further investigation, we realized the "chicken" was canned and had a fishy taste/smell. I asked to speak to the manager who seemed argumentative. Never apologized, and only said "fair enough" and walked away. We continued to sit there waiting on the bill for our drinks and knots when finally I asked and was told that it was comped.
