Nice enough place. Food is generally good. On our last visit, service was not the greatest. When we arrived, we asked to sit in a section that wasn't open yet I guess. The woman we thought was our waitress disappeared and we had to ask someone else for the check after a considerable wait. Ordered a steak hoagie. We have eaten twice in this restaurant. First we ate pepperoni pizza. It was good, thin and crispy. Second time ordered chicken Parmesan w spaghetti and lasagna. Won't order pasta again. Pasta mushy, a lot of sauce and chicken heavy coating. Lasagna cheese and ground beef smothered in sauce. Disappointing second meal. Gave them 3 stars for the first pizza, friendly service. No idea why this place only gets 2.5 stars. Huge quality, servers who are hustling and I've never had anything I wouldn't recommend here. They even have grinders! Highly recommend the salad. That is a large size in my photos and would feed at least four. The house salad dressing is really good and comes in a bottle so you can apply exactly how much you want. Huge quantity of ham and all kinds of goodness. They bring this out quickly so it is a great appetizer. Lots of great pizza choices. The one in my picture is a small Al Capone (note he died at age 48 of a heart attack, so keep that in mind because this one is LOADED with every kind of meat you can imagine and is about three deep. If you like meat lovers then this is a perfect choice for you. The small is plenty big for one or two people when you pair it with the salad. Plenty of leftovers for 1-2 meals after (and I pack it in). John B's review includes a detailed history of the building ABC is located in. I've been coming here for at least ten years as it is next door to Harbor Freight and Ollie's. The decor reminds you of pizza parlors from the 70's so love the throwback feel. Used to be consistently good. The last 3 times in 2 months were not so good. too much wet lettuce on the submarine sandwiches and less meats. Pizza Review Okay tasting pizza that was extremely floppy and very greasy. The undercarriage was covered in grease, each piece you pulled off the pan leaving behind a pool of grease. The crust was extremely floppy and soft until you get to the counter crust that was crunchy. The taste was decent with the small seasonings that were on top. They were very generous with the pepperoni on the pizza also. Things to note: Waitress wasn't kind when she brought one of the wrong items to the table. Easy as ABC!!! ??? Well, sort of! Don't believe me? READ ON! LOL (lengthy, but so was The Wizard of Oz!) First, let's look at this location's history, shall we? Years ago, this triangle corner of land started out as a Biff Burger restaurant. Then, along came ABC Pizza, in the same building. BUT, the building situated there was NOT the SAME building. It was a different building. A VERY different building. After a while, that old building began to feel its age. And let me mention it had totally unforgettable restrooms! THE 'rest rooms' were not much bigger than on an airliner. Oh yes.. Anyway, that old building served countless hungry Z-hills folks for a very long time. One day, along came a fire. Then a wrecking ball! Bam! BAm! BAM! Old ABC Pizza building leveled! To the ground! Flatter than a pizza crust! New building erected on same spot. The current building that you'll see when you visit. New signs went up and it was, once again, ABC Pizza! This lasted... for...a while. Then, one day the ABC Pizza signs came down. Newer building just sat there, looking rather empty and dejected. While all of Zephyrhills wondered and missed the old/new ABC, time passed. Until one sparkling day, a truckload of brand new, bright & shiny signs arrived on site! What's this? There were NO ABC Pizza signs on that truck! This new batch of signs read 'Sunrise Eatery'! And so it was....for...a while. And what fun it was...while it lasted. Sure, you guessed it! Those new/NOT ABC Pizza signs came down one day! They magically made their way to the other side of the same parking lot, to be posted on the new Sunrise Eatery building. And they remain there to this day.. Once again, newer than the old ABC/this ABC/Sunrise Eatery building sat empty. Alone. Questioning its worth. But hold on! HERE COMES ANOTHER truckload of NEW signs! Wanna guess??? ABC Pizza! Yep! ABC Pizza to Sunrise Eatery to ABC Pizza once again! And THIS....is where our current story begins...... We've been long time fans of most ANY ABC Pizza locations! Years ago, we'd make the trek to distant locations for their All-You-Can-Eat Spaghetti Specials. Or, because we like the crew at a particular location. Now, back to Zephyrhills. This past week, I was travelling the breadth and width of Z-Hills solo for two days in a row. Both days, I needed to catch a good lunch, at a great price. Amusingly, I stopped both days at this newest/new ABC Pizza/blah/blah/blah....LOL BOTH days my foodie quest was entrusted to the VERY capable & talented Miss Lulu! She was my server extraordinaire! Heck, with a name like Lulu would YOU expect anything less? Her outgoing personality made going-out-to-eat a real treat! Day One, I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki, which came with a Greek Salad and a side of rice pilaf(I like that word pilaf, don't you?).. Lulu whomped up one heck of a beautiful Greek Salad for me! It was SO perfect, I took a picture of it, then did one of those Check-In things on social media. I got a lot of Yum 'Likes' on that. Everything was delicious. Enter Day Two. To my delight, Lulu greeted me at the door. Even though she had the requisite mask on, I knew the eyes and the voice. I took a seat. She didn't skip a beat. Unsweet Tea. Check! Greek Salad. Check! No Souvlaki today, salad is PLENTY! Once again, Lulu presented her masterpiece of a salad she personally prepped. Wow!, I said. More Yum 'Likes', and those 'Likes' started with me! IF you are NOT aware of ABC Pizza tradition, let me let you in on this... THEY have THE best 'house' dressing! Horrible experience at ABC Pizza in Zephyrhills last night, placed online order at 5:53pm via "slice" app, advised it would be ready between 6:20&6:30, app advised ready for pickup at 6:22, arrived at 6:26, waited for close to 10minutes for staff to come to the counter, was then told be a few minutes and would be ready. At 7pm engaged staff and showed order and was told can't read that because it didn't have my name on it, was visible on the order, told them it was ready at 6:22, was cussed at by kitchen staff who were cussing with each other as well as at customers. Finally got my order completed and out the door at 7:15. Only compensation was $25 refund, whole price should have been refunded. read more

We ate here. They must have been short help. The place wasn't full, but the service was very slow. We were told by the waitress that she would get another plate, one for our granddaughter. Well I had to finally ask another employee for the plate. We had for both granddaughters personal pizzas and a salad. We got the baked spaghetti. There was no seasoning on the spaghetti. I had to ask for the cheese. Also asked for the bread. There was less then a dozen customers in the place. It wasn't the service I thought we would get. ABC has AWESOME meatballs and mozzarella and pretty good sauce ... but they USED TO serve these on a hoagie roll,but they got CHEAP ( not inexpensive, just CHEAP) by using what I can only assume is a hotdog bun ....it doesn't hold the sauce,cheese or the meatballs and has to be consumed WITH A FORK....so if you plan on picking this up and diving into it....forget it...Baklava is great, but they're kind of proud of it read more

This is my favorite place to get pizza around here. The service is optimal, nothing crazy but I really don't care about my server being jolly. If you want appetizers get the cheesy garlic bread. I want to know what has happened to our Zephyrhills ABC!!! I was rudely spoken to and it began with the telephone order on the phone. Before I could finish placing my order and give my name I was hung up on and then when I arrived to pick up my order no one acknowledged, I was standing there for like 5 min then I was asked if I was Uber instead of a normal may I help you. I have lived in Zephyrhills since I was 12 years old over 50 years and I have been at this location numerous times prior to this visit. 1st I was being questioned of my intelligence while asking why their large Greek salad was bigger for dine in orders as I saw a server pass by with a large Greek salad and I made a comment theres no way that salad she just took to that table would fit in the styrofoam container you just handed me. I was told by Nicki "here I will make one in that bowl and I will show you it will fit in the Styrofoam contain" she proceeded to made a the salad in the large glass bowl then brought it over to show me how she began crammed it in the styrofoam container and pushing the lid down as it was just before breaking loose, then she said; "you get more lettuce if you dine in" well hello then the salad is bigger as I explained to Nikki and all they could do with several other employees was laugh and told me I could get my money back if I was unhappy I explained I love your Greek salad I wanted a Greek salad but I would like to have a large just like I have always gotten many times before. So by this time my 2 large pizzas were just coming out of the oven so I left. After I got home I took a slice of pizza from the box and it was not completely cooked and the pizza only tasted like salt!!! So I phoned ABC to speak with a manager by the way it happened to be Nikki and she told me to; "come get a refund and don't ever come back!!"Wow I just wonder to my self why would I even want to go back if this is how you are treated. I was a regular in-restaurant customer and love their gyros, but I just ordered takeout for the first time and I very carefully and specifically ordered 2 of the the gyro dinners. I received 2 sandwiches with bags of chips. When I called to tell them about the mistake they didn't even apologize. At first they were going to give me a credit for the missing rice, but then told me that I got a bag of potato chips instead of the rice so they wouldn't give me a credit for the mistake. Then they hung up on me. I'm going to have to find another place for gyros because I think that is really crappy service. Now I'm mad that I left a generous take out tip in the jar. While waiting the kitchen staff was cussing at each other and also at some of the customers, including me. Very unprofessional, their excuse for lateness of my order was they had a party of 20 and caused the issue, not my problem. I have eaten here previously and had bragged to our out of town family how good the food is, the poor service wiped that out. It is an op kitchen so everything said is heard by customers. I was so disappointed in our dinner at this location of ABC Pizza. I ordered the spaghetti w/meat sauce n the noodles were starchy the sauce so bland no flavor at all. Like you opened a can of tomato paste put two tbls. On it and served. The one slice of bread was stale. Hubby had meatball grinder n same bland no flavor. Add some Italian seasonings something for flavor. Also noticed they weren't following covid guidelines Only 3 tables of people n we were all seated next to each other. I have been to this ABC location several times and have recently introduced several friends to the amazing food and atmosphere. Six of us went there after bowling up the street and we're treated like intruders. The normally awesome staff had a "server" that I don't ever remember seeing in previous visits. The restaurant was at best 25% full and there were at least 10 people besides us awaiting seats. Eventually they got disgusted and all left, we waited another 20 minutes, and our friends that we bragged about this place said "we wouldn't eat here if it were free". We all left and headed next door to Sunrise Cafe, where we were instantly sat, serviced and had a fantastic meal! Where to begin. I called and placed and orders which they continued to get wrong over the phone. At that point I almost canceled my order but i decided to go pick up the food. Upon going there and picking it up my food it was wrong. The receipt that that did up was not that order I placed. After bringing it to their attention they insisted I was wrong and they was right. Finally once they realized I was not going to leave they decided to just make it again. Bottom line horrible customer service and very unprofessional. Spaghetti sauce tasted bland with too much pepper and the meatballs and chicken parm were obviously from frozen and seemed like school cafeteria food. The Greek salad was pretty good. Theirs taste about the same as hungry Howies. Again not saying it wasnt good but for the price I was expecting better. Even the in house potato salad was nothing to brag about.
