My fiancé and I started coming to this comic shop about a month ago and have not been disappointed with how fantastic it is! Interacting with them has been a breath of fresh air when it comes to top notch customer service. Whether you are sending them a fb message or face to face you know you're valued. They consistently pay attention to what you like and are consistent with engaging with you. Besides making you feel valued - this shop is extremely organized and has a variety of comic book options to match all different fandoms. The pricing is also unbeatable as they are so reasonable with their pricing and definitely are more affordable then other shops in the area. My daughter is getting into Comix and wanted to buy some of her favorites. So we stopped in and the place has a great selection. I never got into comix but I found quite a few that I would love to read. She chose Super Girl, Super Man and Cat Woman to start. She ended up getting 13 comix for $18.50. One of the books is not the standard size. The employees were friendly enough that we will be back when she's ready for more. They do require masks and only allow a total of 8 customers in at a time. read more

Affordable comics, owner knows what he has stocked, clean and organized.

I have known of Comix Corner for a long time. I used to drive by it every day. I always thought a bunch of nerds hung out there. Then I thought: "hey, I'm a nerd, why am I not hanging out there?". I recently started collecting comic books. I was always intimidated by the stores. I felt like I had to know what I was doing in order to shop there. That was not the case when I walked into Comix Corner. I was greeted immediately. The man behind the counter let me know that if I needed anything I could simply ask. I felt pretty comfortable right away. The big thing that sets Comix Corner apart from their competition is the fact that all of their boxed comics are very well sorted and organized. Not only that, the staff is incredibly knowledgeable with regard to all stories they carry in the store. I'm still impressed that the staff can tell me about the upcoming issues in the indie series that I love to read. The staff here at Comix Corner is always willing to help, they're always friendly and the store is always clean. I seem to find something to buy even if I'm not looking for anything in particular. The prices here are great, too. Other stores gouge you on the variant covers and such. Comix Corner is incredibly competitive. I can't say enough good things about this place. I frequent their other location in Rochester Hills and it's roughly the same. Simple. Clean. Well-organized. These guys pride themselves on supporting the hobby. If you're looking to get into the hobby, or you just need a fresh place to look for your back issues, try Comix Corner. I'm pretty happy I did. If you are interested in comics at all, you need to go to Comix Corner and say hi to Dan and Keith. Who can forget Comix Corner? This place has been around for as long as I can remember. That alone makes me want to throw piles of money at them to read the newest rags and mags. One thing I did enjoy about CC when I was a regular, was the option to throw $20 at them, and become a member of CC; then, you give them a list of what you want them to hold for you, and once a month you can come in to get your books at a discounted price. Not bad, eh? One thing I do like are places that don't favor one side of the DC Marvel rivalry. I mean, sometimes you feel like Silver Surfer, sometimes you feel like Sandman, you know? CC is a great place for everyone, large or small press, Marvel or DC. CC is also one of the shops that stocks gaming supplies; manuals, map-making supplies, dice, etc. Rolled your last D-10 into the heater vent? Run to Comix Corner! I can't say enough good about this place because they've been on the East side for as long as I have. Anyone dedicated enough to geeks all over Michigan to keep this cultural icon open for 20+ years is someone who deserves my (and ultimately your) money. read more

Comix Corner - Comic Books Near Me - Fraser, Michigan

This isn't the shop to go to If you're looking for memorabilia or tshirts. It's very straight to the point- here's this weeks comics on the wall and the back issues are in boxes. Friendly staff, especially if you're a regular. Dan (owner) makes my visits very quick and I enjoy that. If you don't see an issue that you want, ask him to order it for you and he will. Eventually, he started to pick up on what writers/ artists I like and he just ordered things that i didn't know about but love! Great shop. read more

i really wasn't all that impressed with my visits to the comix corner during my short stay on the east side. the guy behind the counter was nice enough and the fact that he had a incentive for real collectors (those who buy monthly) was pretty cool. the thing that sucked was this place had the smallest amount of stock i've ever seen in a comic store. the store in my hometown of waterford, mi had a larger selection and waterford isn't a huge town. love, juston read more

I love this place. I've only started going there in the last 2 weeks and am already on the first name basis with the owners. They're incredibly friendly and sociable. Unlike the shop by my parents house I used to go to these guys understand customer service is the key so a successful business. They actually have a collectors club that saves you money that I intend to join very soon. One time fee and they hook you up for as long as you want. Nice little shop with a lot of comics but what really sets this store apart is the staff. The owner knows your name and your box and grabs your stuff as soon as you walk in. I've been visiting Comix Corner for almost 20 years, although more infrequently since I moved to the West side. You'll find that their selection is average in size, but diverse, and it is a joy to browse since you're not distracted by a great deal of junk that isn't comic books (posters, t-shirts, RPGs, etc). It's best to visit when the owner is around since he'll chat you up for a bit, and he knows his stuff. This is an establishment that is a mainstay in Fraser, and is a great place to visit. read more
