I'm not a fan of most dentist. But I have to give them a 2 this time because I was so disappointed. I went in specifically to tell them that with my anxiety the doctor sent me in because I was tapping and grinding my teeth during the day. I asked if there was anything I could use to not tap so hard. The lady suggested a night guard even though I told her that's mainly during the day. She said I could also wear it during the day.( not true if you look at how thick it is) so then when I went back I said that the night guard is working OK at night but do they have any suggestions for the daytime. She said that what I should do is get their custom made retainer for the daytime. She said it even feel so comfortable, that a lot of people wear it at night. She said they would quote me for the retainer one this time and it was $400. So I was like wait so I spent $400 on a night guard which I can't wear during the the day, and now I have to spend another $400 for a retainer for the day that a lot of people wear overnight. I just feel like I was sold on spending more than I needed to. Which is disappointing cause I have been going there so long and really love it.

The staff here is incredible hands down the best customer service experience I've ever had. Everyone is involved and genuinely caring. It never feels like a rushed "hi-bye" visit; they take the time to connect, make you feel seen, and somehow manage to be personable, funny, and kind all at once. Honestly, I wish I could be friends with all of them! I've come here for pictures, X-rays, cleanings, deep cleanings, and most recently wisdom teeth removal. Every experience has been amazing, but it was my wisdom teeth removal with Dr. Kamal that drove me to finally write this review. I was terrified going in. I put off getting my wisdom teeth out for 5-7 years because my pain tolerance is laughably low (getting my ears pierced was traumatic enough). I had to get all 4 removed at once to relieve some pain I was experiencing, and from the first conversation, the team completely reassured me. They went over everything, post-op plans, expectations, recovery tips and made me feel like I was genuinely in good hands. But even then, I had no idea just how committed they were to making this comfortable for me. The surgery? Flawless. I didn't feel a single bit of pain or discomfort not before, during, or after. I'm someone who cries at a paper cut, so to walk away from oral surgery without pain? Truly a miracle. I chose IV sedation, and it was so easy , i fell asleep, and next thing I knew, I was at home, pain-free and minus four teeth. Recovery has been just as smooth. No pain, no issues, and if there ever was a moment of mild discomfort, Tylenol took care of it. I went in for my post-op checkup and everything is healing beautifully. Ill now be starting my invisalign journey with them. Dr. Kamal is amazing, and I still can't believe how positive this entire experience was. I couldn't have asked for a better team or outcome. Thank you to the ENTIRE team, I appreciate you all. Desert Inn Smiles truly feels like family and I'll never stop recommending them.

Parking: There's a private lot shared with another business (a different dental office for surgical procedures I think) with plenty of parking. Ambiance/Decor: It is a very nice dental office and it's very comfy and cozy. It's clean and spacious as well! Customer Service: The customer service is okay. Sometimes, in my opinion, it did feel a bit less genuine/fake and it also felt like I was being rushed when I needed to call. It always seems like the front desk receptionists are in a hurry to hang up the phone. Dental/Appointments/Pricing: When I first started going to Island Dental, I loved my cleaning experience with the hygienist I was originally paired with but when she moved away, everyone after her that I had just seemed okay. My teeth never really felt truly amazingly clean as they had in the past with my primary hygienist in California. They really push the "boomcloud membership" which they raised the price multiple times since my first appointment. I personally think that for the quality of cleaning, it is extremely overpriced. Overall: After multiple appointments, still continuing the BoomCloud membership although my teeth never felt as clean as I would like them to be, I have decided that I would much rather go back to California to my primary dentist than to continue with Island Dental. Sure, it is beautiful office and the hygienists and doctors were kind, but it just isn't worth the price for the experience. I hope this review helps you decide on where to find a dentist in the Summerlin area! :) Overall Rating: Solid 3 Stars

The office is clean, organized, and has a calm vibe. Dr. Meron Anghesom was amazing! He was knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. His assistant Tysa (hope I'm spelling her name right!) was also great, she helped me feel comfortable the whole time. Drove down a fair distance here for the past three years for teeth cleaning, which has been good…read moreand the reason for the +1 star, otherwise this would be a 1 star review. Since November of 2023, I have been a patient of Dr. Anghesom for two crowns that I needed in the lower rear molars on either side of my mouth, which previously had fillings but both of which were cracked. During the initial installation procedure, the dental assistant to Dr. Anghesom was quite unprofessional. At one point she dropped my new crown on the floor and then tried to put it right back in my mouth without disinfecting it. When I told her that she needed to clean it, her response was "with what?", as if she did not realize the ground was covered in germs and the crown needed to be sterilized. She also was very impatient with me during the painful procedure, asking me if I just want to stop and come back another day instead of having a few moments here and there to deal with the pain. Dr. Anghesom also had to continue to ask her to do things that normally I would expect an assistant to know how and what to do in such clinical procedures. This was all very concerning. In all instances of installing the new crowns (new or fixed ones), even though Dr. Anghesom knew that my crowns would need to be buffed down so that I could close my mouth properly, it was primarily his assistants that did that sanding down work on my crown and not himself. I found it strange he did not want to do this careful work himself since he was said he was ultimately responsible for his work. Indeed its possible both crowns got the chipped hole because the sanding down was not done properly. By August of 2025, both crowns had a hole and came right off just during eating regular meals. Dr. Anghesom said he wanted to correct his work for the first broken crown so I forgave the previous issues and allowed that to occur, but now, two months later, the other crown has also gotten a hole and come right out. I don't have the time or patience to continue working through a painful procedure for someone to get all their work done right a second time, and maybe even more after that! I have already gone to a different dentist who said the issue was not the material the crown was made of, but the "technique" of the previous dentist. My assumption now is that I will need to get the repaired crown fixed yet again. Guess I should have seen the writing on the wall with the assistant's Dr. Anghesom employs and known I was not at a dental office that takes the careful attention to detail for something as costly and important (and painful) as permanent new teeth, which my new dentist said "should last at least 10-15 years if not possibly forever"! Dr. Anghesom did not want to offer any kind of refund for the two cracked crowns. He did offer to repair his work at no cost, but two repairs is not a coincidence and he did not want to offer and refund beyond fixing what I think should have been done correctly in the first place. Needless to say, I will not be returning to Summerlin Smiles and have cancelled all my future appointments with the team. I don't take the time to write reviews on yelp regularly, but felt so disappointed by this entire experience that it was necessary to warn other possible patients and to recommend they go elsewhere for important dental work outside of teeth cleaning.

When I declined fluoride for health reasons, they became increasingly disrespectful, which was the final straw. I knew I needed to find a new dentist--one who would respect my health choices, think outside the box, and actually listen to my concerns. That's when I found Dr. Browner through the IAOMT directory, and I'm so glad I did! From the moment I walked in, I could tell I'd made the right decision. Dr. Browner is the complete opposite of my last dentist. She took the time to thoroughly examine my health, performing the most extensive oral exam I've ever had, including checking for signs of cancer. She went over my x-rays and photos with me, pointing out things she didn't like--something my previous dentist never did. My old office was always rushed, and the team barely took the time to explain anything. Another huge relief was how fear-free this office is. I suffer from ADHD and claustrophobia, so dental visits are usually anxiety-inducing, but this time I felt completely at ease throughout the appointment. No rushing, no feeling like just another patient--they truly made me feel cared for. I'm so thankful to IAOMT for helping me find Dr. Browner. I finally found a dentist who not only respects my lifestyle but actually listens and takes my health seriously.

They did every thing they could see available on my insurance even when I said over and over it was for two teeth. I had just had my routine cleaning done three weeks prior to my appointment at a different dentist and was unhappy with a siding repair they did on a front tooth. He still did gum measurements despite me saying I just got everything done. I better not receive a bill for that. They had me do every x-ray they could saying it was to help with my questions. Which I can understand needing to see everything. When I finally got the doctor, he didn't ask me much more about why I said I was there and he moved on to everything he could find to fix. I do want to clarify he did make sure he was aware, but just proceeded with his items. Fortunately, one of my reasons for being there did fall into view because the X-ray, but I would worry if he didn't see it as important, because I'm not sure a lot of attention would have gone to that if he didn't. He made a lot of assumptions about every symptom I had, and a lot about the tons of work in my mouth without even asking me. I think it would have been surprising for him to hear I was there for it and paid for it. However, I appreciate the attempt at educating. I just felt like it took from why I was actually there. With his assumptions, this includes going as far to say he looked at my medications and decided their combination caused dry mouth. Why wouldn't you ask me about that? I had just got done telling the amazing person helping me that my doctor and I were working on the dose to get the right mg down to prevent it. But he didn't ask, lol. Just told me to drink water while I had a water bottle on my lap in the chair. Thanks for that. Every phone call now my mom and I remind each other drinking water gets rid of dry mouth, lol. Then for the second reason I was there, for an hour and a half, mind you, he proceeds to tell me how easy it would be to fix the problem and he'll do it when I come back for the other work. So he could have fixed it right then, but it seemed like he just wanted to get more money from me by delaying. I certainly better not receive a bill for all his repeated services when I said multiple times I was there for bad fixes on two teeth recently and I just had my cleaning. I just needed someone to look at those two teeth. The woman who did the X-rays was a gem. Give her a raise for listening to me then having to sit there and listen to him explain my life to me. I hope I get a call back to see someone more eager to help. I edited this review to remove the comment about professional. He was very professional, and technically didn't do anything wrong. But! He didn't listen to me. At all. Proceeded with what he wanted and told me more than twice to schedule my cleaning not hearing I had just got it done at a different dentist. I was trying to find a new dentist that would listen.
