There are a lot of cafes in Lichfield and I'm attempting to make my way around them all. The best part about visiting Comfortin' Food was Tom the Tea Man who lounged in my mug and came with instructions. Plus, I decided that Tom deserved a star as without him Comfortin' Food would have been awarded three stars.
I went in search of breakfast which allowed you to pick a certain number of items off the menu depending on how hungry you were feeling. This is great as it allows you to choose what you want and in the case of eggs, you can choose how they are cooked. I had a very well poached egg which I enjoyed and the breakfast was good overall. Ordering a vegetarian sausage can be risky and on this occasion, I was not a fan. However, there is such a range of other items on offer that you could avoid them and not be disappointed.
Comfortin' Food offers a range of lunches and cakes plus a variety of specials. The cakes looked very tasty so I will have to go back to sample some so that I can improve this review! I may even go when the sun is shining so that I can sit in the outside seating area for some al fresco dining. read more
