I called Comfort Time Heating and Cooling a year ago for maintenance on my HVAC system. I decided to install a new system this year and called again for their help. From my first encounter with Angel to discuss what I need, and details of what I would get, to completion of the installment, I have nothing but compliments to this company for all aspects of their customer service and the work that was done. Angel, who discussed the details of the new system with me, was helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. When I called later with some questions, I was always able to contact him directly, and he answered promptly. At that meeting, an appointment was made for an install to be done, within two weeks. There was no delay, and it was done in the time frame promised. I would like to compliment and say thank you to Jessie, Louis G., Julian A., Hans V., and Jose M., the team that installed my system. Each of them was diligent in their work, took necessary steps to protect my home as they worked, and left everything clean each day when they left (install took 3 days). Each of them was knowledgeable, and approachable with any questions or comments I had during the times they were working. Every team member was friendly, courteous, and respectful, which made it so easy during the time they were working here. Desiree, who checked on progress periodically, was easily available in case there was something I needed to talk to her about. She did a great job in communicating with me. My last compliment is to Juan C., who came to check on a problem with my doorbell, after the team had finished the install and left for the day. He, like all others who worked here, was knowledgeable, friendly, and seemed unbothered by all my questions/concerns. The staff that answer the phone in the office, have all the same qualities as the folks I've discussed. I like doing business with family-owned, local business when possible and I found the perfect one for my HVAC needs in Comfort Time. My unit has been installed for a few days now, and it is working perfectly. I am so appreciative of Comfort Time, and am satisfied, start to finish, with my experience. I now have two years of free seasonal maintenance checks. I can highly recommend this company, for heating/AC needs. Our re-pipe occurred in late May 2024. This 1927 house is just under 600 sq. ft. with OG cast iron plumbing. I called some plumbers because bits of metal were coming out of some faucets. I went out for three bids. Angel from Comfort Time came to the house, and within a day or two they sent a project proposal / estimate that was super thorough and clear. The proposal was discussed and adjusted. We selected Comfort Time for the job based on this visit, the estimate, and reviews. They used a combo of copper pipe (M) and Pex. The total re-pipe, repairs and patching spanned about a week, but we also had a permit and inspection to schedule right as the holiday weekend began. Angel oversaw the job, but Louie, Ray, Kevin and Jose all participated in making it happen. Louie was here everyday and was who I interacted with the most. Inside: Break bedroom wall to access back tiled wall of bathroom shower / tub (wall well repaired and patched, matching other plaster walls) and under kitchen sink (also nicely patched). New valves and faucets installed. Comfort Time found a leak under the house - it was the toilet. They took it apart and reseated it without charge. Outside: New water heater installed, re-pipe laundry (in garage), 2 outdoor faucets re-piped. Comfort Time found a leak at street meter, but it is the city's. They are notified and looks like it will be repaired soon. As for their work and demeanor, I can't say enough good things about these folks. I was asked frequently if I had any questions, and informed about everything they were doing (and finding). Louie helped me track down a store with the faucet we needed in stock and then picked it up on his way home. Ray (unfortunately) found the toilet leak we did not know about. I don't recall who all went under the house, but hat's off to them! I was girding my loins for the mess and chaos, and that is NOT at all what I experienced. Everything was cleaned up at the end of their work day. They took EXCELLENT care of my home and patio as they worked. Comfort Time has come to our rescue three times. #1 The first time I contacted them as a new homeowner: my AC conked out at 3pm on a Friday. I called, figuring I'd have to survive the weekend of 90+ temps without AC and made an appointment for the following Monday. About half an hour later, Jose called and asked if they could come out right away. Oh hell yes! They came, saw, and conquered the problem staying until 6pm to make sure it was done right. Jose and Kevin were polite and careful of my carpets: the saviors of my weekend. I signed up for Comfort Time's maintenance program on the spot. #2 Last summer, a contractor doing remodeling work shorted out a wire. Jose came out, tried to replace a very expensive component, but it blew out! Poor guy, he actually ate the cost of the transformer himself! When Jose and Kevin came back to make the correct repair I told them I was concerned that Jose was going to pay $650 out of his own pocket, but they just said it would be a good lesson. Oh my. #3 Kevin came out to do regular maintenance on our unit, which we knew was on its last legs. He sat down with me and talked me through the options, no hard sell involved at all. My husband and I had already discussed replacing the unit so we made arrangements with Kevin to do it the following week. He showed up with the team, they did a terrific (and super fast!) job of replacing the unit, and Kevin followed up afterwards. When they found out my husband had just lost his job, they even worked with us on the payment. I rarely encounter such integrity in tradespeople. When it was time to replace our 24 years old air-conditioning and heating unit we called Comfort Time, a business we have been using for more than 10 years. Owners Angel Muro and his wife Crystal came to the house for a walk through and price consultation. The price in the contract is the final price we paid, even if additional materials were needed to complete the job. Jessie and Jose arrived on time and prepared the house for removal of the old equipment, making sure the entryway was covered with drop cloths and wearing protective equipment. They worked professionally all day and kept us informed as needed throughout. During this first day the heating unit was installed. On the second day Manuel arrived to install the air-conditioner, working with Jessie, Jose and Marco the team got the whole job completed in 2 days as promised by Angel. They worked as a unit with care and respect for our property. The team was very attentive throughout the house in making sure everything was cleaned up and debris taken away. A walk through was done to make sure we were satisfied with the job. We highly recommend Comfort Time for any service or repairs, Angel and Crystal stand 100% behind the costumer satisfaction. I first found Comfort Time here on yelp. I had an emergency, was headed out of town in the middle of a heatwave and needed the Ac working as animals were being left in the house. My AC/Heating unit is 50+ years old. I fully expected Angel to tell me I needed a new unit and was bracing for the sticker shock. Angel went up on the roof, inspected the unit and said he thought he could get it running again. The quote was VERY fair. He said he would be back the next day to fix the unit. I received a call that because of the strange bracket configuration in my old unit, he would have to get a different motor than what he had in stock. He was very apologetic that the job would be delayed until the following morning and honored his quote tho the new motor was a bit more. The next morning Angel was here and the unit was fixed! I was amazed at the professionalism, honesty and work ethic Angel showed. I called again when the wind blew a door to the unit off. Again I was sure my unit was DOA but Angel was right out and fixed it. When I asked what the bill was, he simply asked me to pay to cover his gas. No Service charge? amazing! As long as my unit is able to be patched up nobody else will get the call. And given that Angel has never tried to upsell me, when he says it's time for a new unit I will know it is time. I have no reservations recommending Comfort Time and do so often. read more

Jacob has trouble distinguishing between a repair and a maintenance. He quoted me $350 for both the repair and maintenance. The repair includes replacing a starter of the furnace. Maintenance includes replacing the air filter and cleaning the condenser unit. Jacob tested the unit and told me the unit is low on Freon, but he will not refill it because the unit is too old. He also told me due to the low Freon, the AC air is blowing at below freezing temperature. The unit will soon accumulate ice. And Jacob says he wouldn't recommend me to turn on the unit. He also skipped cleaning the condenser unit. At the end, I asked Jacob to give me a discount for not cleaning of the condenser unit. Surprisingly, Jacob says the $350 was for the repair only, not maintenance. He needed a few minutes to get the bill written up. A few minutes later, Jacob told me that he has consulted with someone at the office. The most he could give me was a reduction of $10. I told Jacob no need to give me the $10. I will just pay $350. He sent me an email receipt (via Square). I did not receive any invoice/work order or itemized list of items/work done. If you have an older AC unit, beware of Jacob's deceptions. read more

Our old 5-ton A/C condensing unit outside the house stopped working in the middle of a summer heat wave. We called a bunch of A/C repair services in the area but were not able to schedule an appointment due to their heavy backlog of service commitments. We found good reviews on Comfort Time Heating and Cooling in the internet and decided to call them. Crystal answered our call and immediately scheduled an appointment with a service technician the next working day. Aaron, the technician, came 3 hours ahead of the appointment time and quickly diagnosed the problem as a defective relay switch. He gave us a quick estimate of the repairs and told us that a new switch could be installed in 2 days since the replacement switch had to be ordered from the supplier. Angel first started taking care of my furnace and air conditioner under the worst possible circumstances - the air conditioner had gone out and it was in the triple digits. Comfort Time recently replaced 3 A/C and furnace units for us. I had several other estimates, all different and none meeting my needs. Angel came over checked out what we had and gave me a proposal. He then came back again to go over everything with my husband, on the weekend. He explained how his proposed system would work and why the others were lacking. It all made sense. His installers/technicians are wonderful. Everyone was friendly and respectful. Everyday they arrived when they said they would and when they left the house was clean. Israel was excellent--professional, patient, thorough, and very honest. Another company had told me my compressor needed to be replaced, so I called Comfort Time for a second opinion. Israel carefully checked the system, refrigerant levels, cooling performance, and drainage and confirmed that the compressor was operating properly and did not need replacement. What I appreciated most was that he never tried to sell me something I didn't need. He explained what was working, where the system has limitations, and what options might make sense in the future. After having suffered through many summers, I knew I had to do something with my bedroom. I knew it had to be a mini split. I called Comfort Time and Angel gave me options and I was able to provide heating and air-conditioning to my entire home for a really good value. His team (Armando B, Jessie T, Jose M, Louis, and Hans V) was very professional and clean.
