Stayed on 05/05/2025 for only one night. Giving a 3 star rating due to the mediocre cleaning done job done on our room. Upon entry there was small trash bits that had not been swept up on the floor. You could tell that the carpet had not been vacuumed well, small hairs found on top of toilet rim next to the tank. Oddly enough windows did not lock as hardware was not even close to being installed correctly. I'm glad we were on the second floor. Front GSA was very nice and lobby was well kept and clean. Front sliding doors had issues opening as they were slow and almost had to grab them and pull apart it seemed. read more

This was the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel. I will put my complaints in list form so it's easier to absorb. -The bathroom smelled like sewage as soon as I walked in. -The couches had stains on them (bodily fluid) -The toilet had trouble flushing. I had to wait for the water to stop running and I got lucky if it flushed. -The floors were unswept and carpets not vacuumed. -There was body hair in the sink and the shower. -Blood on the towels. -Everyone who worked here acted like they didn't want to be on this earth. -The fridge and microwave were both dirty inside. -I got itchy from what I hope was just the laundry detergent they use. -There must be something wrong with the plumbing throughout the hotel because when I woke up, my whole room smelled like a public restroom. -Open boxes of pillows outside the back door (I really hope they are not being used, as they are sitting out in the sun with probable bug activity, maybe that's why I was itchy when I slept) -They do have a nice Keurig. I know that because I used it to brew coffee to get rid of the smell in the room. I don't even drink coffee. -The water in the lobby tasted like soap and left a film on my tongue. -Kids running up and down hallway and screaming at 10:30 PM -I woke up with a bug bite on my arm. -The manager was yelling at the front desk girls because they did something wrong (I'm not sure of the context) -The breakfast was disgusting. The eggs were dry and burnt, the gravy for the biscuits was watery and jello-like at the same time, and the biscuits were like hockey pucks. Breakfasts at hotels are important to me, because it's usually the only hot meal I eat in a week. So I'm sitting here figuring out what kind of cold breakfast I can settle for. -And the thing that made me extra upset was there was no postcard on the desk in the room that every single other Comfort Suites I've ever been to has had. That's the main reason I stayed here and looked past the bad reviews, was to get my Roswell postcard. And they couldn't even deliver on that. I know better for next time. He later on barked at me "I haven't had those postcards in four years." That right there says a LOT about an owner. He doesn't even care to be welcoming with the simple touch of a paper souvenir, as long as he can save a few bucks. I'm extremely upset, because this was at best a $60 room, not a $100 room. You're not supposed to be restless, hungry and disturbed on vacation. The owner/manager threatened to sue me because I filmed his voice while he was making me very uncomfortable and being extremely unprofessional. He then came out into the lobby and took a picture of me while I was standing in the breakfast room. When he was speaking to me with the flippant attitude he had, I could see another guest behind him looking genuinely scared and confused. I didn't look around at the rest of the breakfast area, but I'm sure they were disturbed as well. Maybe they will write a review as well. He told me he would reach out to Expedia and get my review deleted because it's all false. He said I should have requested a refund before posting the review. Technically I could sue him for emotional distress and feeling threatened when he got up in my face and took my photograph (I could get the security footage as proof), but I will move on with my vacation and hope that life gets better for him. Karma will work in her own time. (I called the police department to ask if I was allowed to film and they told me that filming a conversation is LEGAL in New Mexico because it's a one-party state. I just wanted to share that information before you end up wasting your time and money trying to sue someone) read more

As happens to places like this the reviews are all over the place. Every person with a bad experience posts one of the three reviews they've ever done. Other seem to want to make up for that. All in all, a solid place. Nice lobby, clean, the exact same style of furniture and facility as every other place. Although, there were some nice accents to push it up the ladder. We had an excellent stay. The bed was good. Everything else acceptable. The breakfast was as expected and they made an effort to keep things fresh and ready. It is certainly a top choice in Roswell. It's not like they are a Westin here, nor would I want to pay for it. read more

This is our usual choice when we are in Roswell. The staff is super helpful. The rooms very nice, comfortable and with everything we need (fridge, coffee maker, microwave, big TV) . Bed super cozy and comfortable and the pillows unbelievable fluffy. The hotel has a small gym and indoor pool. Good continental breakfast too with pancakes, toast, muffins, fruit and boiled eggs. And they always receive all our Amazon purchases and keep them for us. read more

Where to begin? I know we're in Covid times, but that's not an excuse to cut corners when it comes to cleanliness, services, and communication of lack of amenities. Entering the room, we were impressed with the aesthetic and color scheme of the room. Two large beds plus a couch and 2 tvs. The restroom had the scent of sewer like if someone had just used it. We told the front desk and they said all rooms were booked. Plenty of Lysol and febreze were used. The curtains in the room didn't move so we were left with ultra sheer curtains to block the ambient light from outside. The room got brighter and brighter as our eyes adjusted. The hot breakfast was reduced to individually wrapped pastries and warm coffee from carafes. The juice machine was broken so nothing for my 7 year old (he's not a coffee drinker lol) This is understandable but was not mentioned on the website or when we called to ask about breakfast. Also, breakfast was repeatedly advertised to begin at 6am, it did not as it began at 7am. This was learned when I went down at 630 and told by the front desk attendant. read more

One of the most comfortable hotels I've stayed at. The bed was unbelievably comfortable. The pillows were perfect. It was pretty quiet and very clean. The breakfast was just cereal, muffins or jimmy dean microwaveable sandwiches but better than nothing. Inexpensive. I would totally stay here again and recommend to anyone. Staff was super friendly too. 3 star quality for amenities but if you know what to expect this is better than ot gets for a budget hotel. Minus one star because the king suite had the sofa and bed in the same room. There was no partition or anything making it really pointless. You get what you pay for. We stayed two nights and had to deal with three attendants. Of the three, only one was nice; the other two acted like I was bothering them. The bed was comfortable, and I like that there was a sofa in the room, but the tub had rust in it. There is a shop to buy snacks, but it is not well stocked. It's an improvement from the Quality Inn across the street, but they can still do better. My wife and I were regulars at the Quality Inn for years and years, but after the pandemic, the property owner over there decided to fill in their whirlpool, instead of fixing it or replacing it. So we ended our relationship with the Quality Inn and gave this place a try. They DO have a whirlpool, but the jets are weak, and the hot breakfast does not have that much variety. Also my first morning, I asked for housekeeping, and when we came back to our room in late afternoon, they never showed up. Not sure if we will stay here again or not. definitely stay here again over the Quality Inn across the street, because at least they have a whirlpool, and the rooms ARE clean and comfortable. read more

The room was clean and very comfortable. It was very nice. The pillows were so fluffy that I almost thought to take one and pay the $15 fee for it! The biggest disappointment was the breakfast and night staff. We understood that their breakfast options would be limited, but they had 2 items. Muffins or Cinnamon rolls. The Juice machine was broken, so no juice. Just in comparison, when we stayed in Louisiana at a competitor, they were still making and serving breakfast, just no self-serve options and new plates if tou went back up. Last night, I needed some water and went to their little market. It was only 8 pm, so when I rang the bell I hoped for someone to come. They did not. I rang again and again. After 10 minutes, I almost just took them up without paying, but I don't do that. So, I waited another 5 minutes. When she came, she told me she was with a guest. I can understand that, too. I just have never seen a hotel have only one person staffed at that time of day. Usually, after 10, they go down to 1 person. The mornjng staff was very nice and apologetic about breakfast. One of the best low budget hotel I have ever stay at. Called in about 4p, checked in at 5p, paid total of $81 (including taxes). They have coin operated laundry, restaurant you can order food, free breakfast, and indoor swimming pool. On the plus side, our room was super inexpensive and also huge. Not sure why we ended up with a handicapped accessible room, but it was very spacious. The hotel was generally quiet and clean. This wasn't the stay I was figuring on. I think the photos say it all. I checked in after 11pm after a 14-hour drive to get there. Went to my room, and the first thing I see is the curtains that look as if someone was murdered in the room. Took photos and went down to the front desk. The gentleman there was friendly and seemed concerned but said they had no open rooms nor curtains to replace these with. Being extremely tired, I went back to my room and turned on all the lights and found the bed looked like a porn movie had been shot on it a day or two earlier based on its condition. The jacuzzi tubs walls tile had poo smeared on it. The towels had been used and put back in place. Everyone of them were nasty. The brown vinyl ottoman had an oily butt print with a female part outlined. I used my sleeping bag and slept in the only clean place I could find. A small blue armchair. In the morning, I showed photos to the young lady at the front desk who was very apologetic and said to call back when the manager was in. Being on a cross-country road trip, it was three days before I could call. I asked for the manager and was told to call back at 3 pm. I called back and got Alex, who said he was the manager. I told him about my experience and offered to send photos so they could ensure this didn't happen to someone else. However, he became very combative and rude and then put me on hold for 8 minutes. Then, he came back on and said they would need two sperm samples. I said what? he said again that he would need two sperm samples. I was so surprised and applaud I said bye and hung up. I never asked for anything, I only wanted to share these photos with them. The single worst experience I've ever had with a hotel. Booked it through Priceline, who was no help at all. The professalism of this manager named Alex was just crazy. Why would you ask a customer to send sprem samples. This was creepy and disgusting, not to mention the perverted implications. What's sad is comfort suits had been my go too hotel. Not anymore. Wish I could rate this with a quarter star. Nasty room, nasty bed, nasty bathroom, and really nasty manager. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I drove from 3 hours away and had booked this on Priceline.com through Klarna. He wouldn't let me check in said he never heard of Klarna, Affirm, Venmo or PayPal. I got mad cause we been in the car for over 3 hours with a kid. He refused to let me have my room. Then he told me to get the F out of there. I was with my 2 kids and my elderly mother. Let me be clear! I'm giving 5 stars based on this level of Hotel, mid range hotel, not the Four Seasons, but definitely not a Motel 6. For it's category, it's definitely 5 stars. On our road trip from Atlanta to Los Angeles this November 2014, we stayed at the Roswell, New Mexico Comfort Inn & Suites. Of the five nights we stayed while on the road during this haul, this was above and beyond the best of the bunch. All the hotels we stayed in during this particular trip were all between $85-$125 and this fell right in the middle of that range. We booked through Hotels.com. As a tip, we never book in advance because we never know exactly how far we are going to make it on the drive each day or where the wind may take us, so we wait until we pull into whatever town we find ourselves in with a few hotels/motels we have found online and check them out before we book. We always go in first to ask for their direct rate because sometimes it's cheaper directly and sometimes Hotels.com has a better rate. For this hotel the online rate through Hotels.com was better. It was after 11PM when we checked in and the young man at the front desk was so nice. We had a service dog (8 lb. Maltese) with us and we read online some review saying she was hassled about her service dog, and some were turned away. We however were not. He advised us that one lady brought a HUGE dog into the hotel and left the room completely destroyed so they assess on a case-by-case basis. The room was huge, it had two televisions, one right in front of the bed and one about 5 feet to the right in front of a couch and seating area. Why anyone would need two TVs in a hotel room is beyond me, especially because how can two people in such close proximity watch two televisions with competing sounds? Anyway, it was really nice, clean, modern, and fresh. The carpet was not gnarly, which is a true test of a budget motel. Nothing is sicker than seeing stains on a mystery carpet. The bathroom was another level entirely. The double shower head with rainfall spout was a treat especially from coming from a Motel 6 the night before. The morning breakfast was nice, beyond continental, as they offered waffles, eggs, sausage, etc. Check out was 11AM and we used every moment we could in that room, which is in stark contrast to how we usually fly out of the rooms a.s.a.p. There was also an indoor pool and jacuzzi which looked really nice and clean, we didn't use it, but it's there and during our stay we didn't see any kids or anyone in there. Side note: When did Roswell get so cold? I walked my dog around 8AM and it was 21 degrees out. read more

I booked this hotel for a 2 night stay through hotels.com. I received an itemized receipt for my stay, detailing the various charges (room cost, taxes, etc) that made up my total cost roughly $150-$160. I cannot quite remember the total. However, upon arrival to the hotel, a very unkempt front desk agent informed me that this hotel was going to charge me a $100 deposit in addition to the total cost from my itemized printout, to "cover the cost of any theft or damages". A $100 deposit on a $150-$160 booking.. in Roswell, NM of all places. Not only was I insulted, but when I questioned this, the unkempt employee attempted to convince me that every hotel in town is charging a deposit and that most are closer to $250. Which was a bold faced lie. I have stayed at no less than 5 hotels in Roswell over the course of the last year and have never been charged a deposit. I immediately cancelled my reservation, after this employee had charged nearly $40 into my debit card which I was told would not be returned until 3-5 business days had passed, and left the hotel. I called the next hotel on my list who informed me that they charge no deposit whatsoever at their location and was shocked at what the front desk agent here had told me. It appears this location is engaging in shady business practices. At the very least, they have substantial hidden fees you won't find at other hotels in Roswell, or realistically most anywhere else. I would encourage you to seek lodging anywhere else. read more

Outside appearance was great. We were greeted right away and given the room we reserved. Upon entering and turning on the bathroom light, we saw 1 roach quickly scurrying about to find shelter, which it did as it crawled into a crack next to the bathtub. As I closed the door to use the toilet, there was a big one right on the door! Had the husband kill it, and thought that would be the end of it until we were eating dinner. Behind the dresser crawled out another roach! Husband went downstairs to ask for a room change, but was told they were all sold out, but would give us a 10% discount. It was the Roswell alien anniversary weekend so no other hotels to locate on the day of our visit. An extremely beautiful lady working on the front desk by herself can't assist as no other staff "at all". So no, poor service from management in this area to dump this on your front desk staff member. Get a bell hop next time to assist. I saw a number of elderly struggling with cases going up the stairs. The arrogant waitress woman in your breakfast area. Extremely passive aggressive. We arrive 10 minutes before the end of the breakfast time, I quickly try to get some toast, coffee juice and spread for the toast. She immediately took the rack that holds the toast to the back????? I ask her is breakfast over, and her arrogant answer..." Yes ma'am" I ask her can I have two pieces of toast and she "allows" me that but then quickly places the large plastic rack that holds the toast, butter etc quickly out the back. It was ok of course to have a younger woman and her child (appeared to be relatives) having breakfast as we attempted to try to get "something". The waitress woman was sitting with them laughing and entertainment the young boy. The boy had breakfast I see with no opposition!!!. That coffee wasn't too bad but you also made that a snide comment about not having creamer etc. I know the political climate going on regarding Hispanic immigration etc but leave your politics at the door when you come to work, sure we're Anglo but to treat us so disgustingly is not fair! Or is it you hate stragglers who arrive 10 minutes before the ending of the breakfast period? So as they try to get toast you actually physically try to remove the very same toast holder that I had to beg??? Glad you got your hate out on a visitor. So no, we definitely do not recommend this establishment. I rarely leave poor compliments and if you see my other reviews you will see this, but this establishment is poor from management down..... Excluding the ladies on the front desk, they were above and beyond in manners, courtesy and friendliness. Thank you but next time there are other hotels. I chose yours as the photos were lovely but in reality not representative of this chain. The pool area looks nothing like the photos. The photographer took photos that look nice but when looking through the dirty windows of the concrete enclosed pool, I thought..." Um no". Positive: girls in the front at night and morning were very nice and friendly. I needed a fitted sheet, didn't get one but got a thin white sheet(keep this in mind.) Pillows and queen size beds were very comfortable! Great night sleep.! Room was very clean. Paper in the room said it was cleaned by Elide. Great area. NEGATIVES: Very dirty stained carpets hallway and inside room. Pull out bed had a red failed stain, (why I needed sheets!) eeeewww I know. Only one ice machine (downstairs was working) Breakfast was done by a young girl who didn't have a hair net not gloves I say this because she was also cleaning tables while she made breakfast. She was really nice but sanitary wise I didn't have breakfast. (I always peak inside the kitchen to see what's going on). She was making the scrambled eggs with again no hair net and her hair was in a messy bun and regular clothes. No tag or apron. After she made the eggs she proceeded to clean tables:/. Dried blood on bed sheets and pillow, rude customer service by Chelsea the front desk clerk. She did not apologize for her lack of communication to helping out another guest who came behind us. My husband's back was hurting, we came close to being in an accident from our eight hour drive from out-of-state. She never apologized, but instead continued to make up excuses for rudely stopping our check-in to ("The printer is slow, you would have had to wait anyways.") assist another guest who was clearly out-of-line. She stopped typing in the middle of checking our reservation, and when she finished bantering and giving change to the guest (who should have gotten in line behind us, but laid his items on the counter staring at her to acknowledge him), she finished typing immediately and printed out my husband's invoice for him to sign. She took less than 15 seconds to complete the task. I used to work at Marriott. We never treated our guests with disrespect nor lied to them. "If you have a problem, then you can talk to my manager in the morning," stated Chelsea. I had to ask her twice for her name before she would respond accordingly. Chelsea needs to understand there are logical consequences for treating people unprofessionally. Learn self-respect and consideration for others. We are paying guests. read more

Our family drove hours to our hotel which we booked over a month in advance only to find out they canceled our reservation WHEN WE GOT THERE AT 10:30 PM. Nobody called or emailed me to inform me. They stated my CC was declined but it was already verified online. And if that was the case they could have also called and asked me for a new card. I came in with my three children not knowing we had no room. They couldn't care less. They just kept staring at me and telling me they were full and they couldn't help me. THEN, they claimed to call another local hotel and confirm that they had openings and when we got there we were told they had no rooms and no one had called them and they hadn't booked any of the type of room we needed that evening so it didn't sell out in the 5 minutes it took us to drive there. And just the cherry on top, of you look online, their reservation policy states they are REQUIRED to hold your room until 7am the day AFTER you are supposed to check in. They are liars and lazy and unsympathetic and unhelpful. They ruined my view of the entire chain. read more

So this is a decent enough hotel (and one that is definitely on the higher end of the price spectrum for Roswell).... from the rooms - which were large and spacious - to the complimentary breakfast - it's pretty standard issue stuff. However, at extreme risk of sounding like my mother here - one thing that really stands out for me is that I've got two words for this location; upholstery cleaner. There were dirty spots on the carpet and on the chairs in our room and the latter carried on downstairs on every single chair in the breakfast area. In a nice, new facility my expectation is that they can do better with minimal effort. read more

We got a king suite for our family of five, used the pullout sofa for the big kids & brought our own pack-n-play for the little one. That pretty much wiped out the floor space, but when the couch & baby bed were put up there was loads of space. Wicked shower heads, one from the wall & one from the ceiling. Negatives: making you wonder if your room was even cleaned, pulled out the hide-a-bed to find candies, trash, & dirty sheets. Disgusting. Safety hazzards: the granite top to the coffee table was NOT secured to it and it slide off the table & nearly got my little one's toe. I informed the desk girl upon checkout of all of this and she said I'm so sorry. No offers for another night or a partial refund, nothing. read more

We've stayed in Roswell at a couple of different places and we found this hotel for 54.00 on Mother's Day when everyone else was double. I was worried it was going to be horrible for the price. We walked in and checked out the indoor pool and Jacuzzi, because we really wanted to swim. It was so much nicer than Baymont's and definitely nicer than La Quinta. We ended up booking a King with a pull out couch suite. My 8 year old liked the fold out and slept like a log and had her own little TV to watch which she really liked. The carpets were a little dingey, but everything else was clean and the bed's were the most comfortable we stayed in at all the hotels on this road trip. We used the pool way past 10pm and not a single soul bothered us. We wanted late night snacks so we went down to the marketplace and got all the things we wanted for cheap. We slept past the breakfast, but it would have been a nice addition. We also enjoyed the little gym they had. This hotel is not super fancy, but it did everything we needed it too and were pretty damn picky. Also the rain shower was a definite plus! We accidentally stayed past check-out and when the maid came to clean, we told her we were leaving and she said "No problem! Just let me know!" We really enjoyed this hotel and will be back. Let me start off with, if you have kids-don't come here!! We stayed for a week at Comfort Suites and it was no stop drama. We began our stay with the smell of Marijuana that gradually became stronger throughout the week. We notified the front desk but nothing was done. Our room was clean and our toiletries were good. Kids enjoy swimming but we're unable to because the pool was closed. We ended up swimming at another hotel where our relatives were staying. I called the front desk 3 times for batteries because our remote controls for the TVs were not working. After the third attempt, I ended up going downstairs and having someone find some. The workers who cleaned the rooms were friendly and would say "good morning" to us when passing by. By the third day, the ice machine on our floor broke and we had to walk downstairs for ice through the remainder of our stay. Two days before we were to check out the drain in our room got clogged and the water would not go down. We notified the front desk. She asked when we were checking out. I thought what does it matter? Anyway, they never came to fix it. I forgot to mention that our small refrigerator did not work and caused all of our food that had dairy to spoil. I am not one to complain much but this was beyond what I ever experienced in a hotel before. read more

If I could give this place no stars, I would. Front entrance is nice, so you would think the rest of hotel would be, right? Nope! Our room was disgustingly not clean, there was smeared dry toothpaste on the counter, hair in sink, tub, and around toilet. Food caked inside of microwave. Dirty handprints on headboard. The chair and couch had so many stains 9n it ... Trash under the bathroom counter ... didnt see it until I dropped something and went to pick it up. Gross! Pillow sheets smelled like BO! I was given a Handicap room which I did not reserve/request. I am very tall, and the bathroom items (hair dryer, sink, towel bars, etc) were way too low for my use. For example I had to stretch the hair dryer cord dangerously far just to dry my hair, and I was generally uncomfortable. In addition, watch out for the $5 per day 'Resort Fee'. This certainly ain't Las Vegas! However after I complained, the good people at Choice Hotels did say they were 'sorry'. read more

Yuk! Hair in my dirty sheets! Although bed was neatly made. Place stinks. Furniture in my king suite looked like some stained up garbage. Complained. Front desk girl was very courteous and helpful. She gave us a second room. Double queen. Down size. Oh well. That one was grossly stinky. Had not been vacuumed. I stepped on some food in between the beds and smeared it into the carpet. Left. Holiday inn next door is very nice. read more
