This hotel rocked. They were prompt in service. At one point, I was waiting on a colleague in the lobby and was asked if I needed anything. The breakfast tasted amazing and always seemed to be full anytime I went down there. The room was clean and everything in it (Microwave, fridge, hair dryer etc) worked! Very friendly receptionist and clean room. There are lots of restaurants nearby and a Walmart across the interstate. Also 29 miles to Ark Encounter. Very easy getting in and out of hotel. Pool is extremely small but great for young kids. Pet friendly hotel but didn't not like the shower head because it was fixed and the water sprayed to the back of the jetted tub. This is the reason for loosing 1 star. Overall a great experience. read more

Screwed over by Expedia! We ordered a room with two queens and a jacuzzi and when we got to the hotel they told us our room did not have the jacuzzi and they would not refund or exchange us. This hotel has terrible customer service and should not be considered if you are going to use a hotel app of some sort! We are all very upset and AGAIN we get a messed up experience at a hotel that has no control over its various ways of purchase and reservations! read more

Actually didn't stay. Asked for a refund 20 days out because of financial issues. The General Manager Elisa refused to refund. I told her it was going to cause a financial hardship for me and my wife. She said she wouldn't do it. She has guaranteed that I will not stay at any Comfort Suites anywhere from here on out. Managers have the ability to refund locally. Thats a managers job. She put me in a bind. Thanks Comfort Suites for making my life difficult without me even staying there. Not exactly the best but good enough. Needs upgrade as others have said about rooms and hallways. You need 24 hours to change your mind about your stay in advance. We had 2 nights and wanted to change it to 1 night since we were in another city. This changed our plans to come anyway so we won't be charged for a day we weren't there. This hotel is not up to the normal standard for comfort suites. I was told the only room available was a handicapped room. Then, the air conditioning quit working a couple of hours past midnight. Was told the hotel is sold out - no other room available. I also have a room tonight - would not be staying here if it was not a prepaid rate. Do not get sucked in by their discount if you pre pay. They have no incentive to even try to satisfy you if you have prepaid for the room. Never again. I'm a frequent traveler and I have many choices as to where to stay. Embassy suites or Hampton Inn from now on. read more

The front office staff is wonderful! Thank you Rachel and Arnold for finding a room - at a great rate - for a couple of tired travelers! Much appreciated! The room was comfy, nice and clean, bed and pillows very nice but the ac unit sounded like an airplane taking off every time it cycled and the cigarette smoke wafting up from outside thru the ac made for a fairly sleepless night. Very noisy room. I'm sure other rooms aren't quite as noisy. read more

So I stayed here 2 days for work related stuff. Although not entirely abysmal, this hotel needs to step up their game. Good: Very friendly hotel staff Bad: - The wifi was out the entire time I was there. Seriously, how hard is it to have working wifi? We were there for a work conference, so not having wifi was a real imposition on all of us? Unacceptable, especially that it was out for so long. - The breakfast was really sparse, didn't even have fresh oatmeal. - My room wasn't totally clean, I found hairs in my shower. - Not totally their fault, but 1 elevator for an entire hotel? Granted its only 3 stories, but still... - Pool is tiny. Moral: I wouldn't choose to stay here if there are other options, but it wasn't total hell on earth and depending on the price, could be worth it. read more

Where to start? Called to request early check-in but the phone agent apparently had no idea how she might find out if this was available. Arrived and requested first floor but was told that because I prepaid I was locked into the 2nd floor room currently assigned. Really? The pool area is in need of a renovation. The pipes on the ceiling have rotting insulation, the windows and glass doors are excessively dirty, and there is no keycard access control - anyone can come and go from the lobby. The interior isn't too bad but does not look regularly cared for. The stairwell needs to be redone as the steps are dirty and the baseboards have gaps with dirt in them. Looks like an amateur or aging job in need of attention. The room: I noticed a suspicious, large white stain on the sleeper sofa cushions. The air conditioning unit struggles to keep the entire room comfortable even when running all the time. It has to run all the time because half of the air flow hits the bed that is positioned too closely, preventing proper air flow and ultimately your comfort. The door to the room is poorly sealed and I can see light from the hallway. The wifi didn't work. That speaks for itself. Overall... it looks like the owner is milking this hotel along with mediocre maintenance and poorly trained staff. Definitely will not stay here again. I used to always look first for a Comfort Suites but this experience will change that. read more

My family and I stay here each Christmas and other random times during the year while visiting family in Georgetown. The front desk staff are consistently helpful but there seems to be a new person every time we're there. The breakfast area was remodeled a couple years ago and is more modern now. The breakfast itself is nothing to get excited about but hey it's a free hotel breakfast so you get what you pay for. The rooms are typically clean and there's only been a couple times where it could have used a little better job. When we were there over Christmas the room was a little dirty but it could have been an easy fix if someone had put more effort into it. I think for the small town this hotel is a good choice. My family and I wouldn't be repeat customers if this was not the case. I would recommend this hotel to others but of course don't expect luxury. read more

My family and I have stayed here for a local event the past few years and always loved it. UNTIL THIS VISIT! The housekeeping staff is lazy and horrible!!! The first room we went in had a trail of candy across the floor. We moved to another room that was "clean". The light fixtures in the bathroom were dripping with cobwebs. There was a mold spot around the bathroom tub. The floor had not been vacuumed because I picked pieces of paper up. The shelves in the bathroom had a thick layer of dust where they lay the towels. The a/c was broken. When we informed the front desk of the a/c they told us it would get fixed the next day which was totally fine. The wood laminate in the halls before getting to the carpet were FILTHY!!! I doubt they'd been mopped in months. I had to go to the front desk to ask a question and my socks were literally BLACK from filth when I got back to my room. You'll recognize the housekeepers - they're the ones standing around eating the complimentary breakfast, popcorn and cookies each day in the hall. They always have their children with them who sit on the counter where the popcorn and cookies are placed. I felt like I was in a day care where kids run wild and the staff gossips and eats!! Steve, at the front desk, was great. I never complained to him (or anyone else aside from thr first room having candy on the floor and the broken a/c in the 2nd room) because the guy was working so hard and had an amazing attitude. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff was rude! Typically when a manager is near the front desk and sees a customer with an issue (broken a/c) they speak to you. Not this manager. She seemed glued to her computer and I NEVER saw her speak to patrons or do any kind of spot checks. The breakfast is...well, free breakfast, so you get what you get. However, the woman that hosts and cleans each day is superb! She was a hard worker and very pleasant. After this trip we'll be using a other hotel. I'll also make sure the 1,000+ people in our group that I'm friends with stay away from here too. Btw, I'm sure the manager will post a generic comment to my review. We shall see! The corpoate reservation desk said this was a new property but it is an old hotel that was renovated a few years ago.and that is obvious. Worse yet is the sanitation is terrible! The lobby entrance and elevator were dirty and the wood lobby floor had black wheel marks. The bedding and bathroom were ok but there were white stains on the love seat that looked very nasty!! This was our second stay at this hotel. It was very clean and very modern. Mike, the night desk person, was able to give us the Internet rate which was great! The continental breakfast was very good. The Wi-Fi signal was good, there were plenty of soda and snack machines and the location was quiet. I would stay here again if I was in town. read more

This is one of the better small town Comfort Suites , though it's aging a bit now. The rooms are "mini suites" with a couch and a bed, but all in one room. Internet connections are superior - wired AND wireless, and a power block for multiple connections at desktop level. New flat screen tv is nice, but has fewer than normal number of satelite channels and it lacks WGN, a serious problem for a Chicagoan! Breakfast was well presented and stocked. Cookies from 6-8 pm every night are actually really good! Front desk staff is fast and efficient - checkout a breeze. read more

We were very happy with this hotel. The staff was wonderful, friendly, helpful. The rooms were clean, had everything they were supposed to have, including the tv channel guide, which in many places is missing. They were generous with towels. The bed was comfy. Heat / cool controls worked properly. The breakfast was good. For the price, you can't go wrong here. We will stay here again for sure. read more
