We went to the pool and our key card wouldn't work, and then no towels and they told us to bring our towels from our room. (We only had one, there was 3 of us.) Room was not very clean, several places there were holes in the wall where they've done some removing of shelves and never patched. If I could give this hotel a minus score I would. I have traveled for business for 35 years and this has to be one of the worst hotels. I've stayed at dirty no TV remote the blind in the window wouldn't go up and down. The breakfast bar was a joke. The scrambled eggs and sausage didn't even have any heat underneath of it. They were served cold. I spoke to the front desk repeatedly to try and get a remote and the window fixed and was told every time we will get it fixed for you and it never was I have since spoke to someone asking for a partial refund and was promised that and still surprise no surprise haven't received any refund. Beware of room 319 DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL Room 319 for 3 adults had the needed space, HOWEVER, the room has a dirty musty carpet smell and the walls need repair. Walls have chipped paint and wall damage all around the room. One piece of the wall molding is off and propped up in the corner. It needed a serious deep cleaning as we saw dirt build up in the corners. The elevator door has the male anatomy etched on the out side of it . Hide your babies eyes. The Friday April 4th staff could care less and when we called down because the pull out sofa bed was not made up and no bedding in sight for it. The sofa bed and cushions were dirty. Sleeping on it was horrible. We called the front desk and we were asked to come get the sheets to make the bed ourself. The safe didnt work and the front desk didn't care and shared that half of the safes in the hotel do not work. Trust me we wanted to leave but was caught between a rock and a hard place as we were here for a funeral. These people don't care. Do not stay here. read more

My daughters and I got bit by bedbugs. They wouldn't give a refund and kept saying I can talk to the manager. No response, terrible experience. I showed them the pictures of the bites and the bedbugs and they did nothing to compensate just move to a different room which was in poor condition. read more

Dirty!!! Smells very musty, maybe it's because water on floor never gets cleaned up. Our couch was do filthy. Did they expect someone to sit on it? Next room , window so nasty couldn't see out of it. This place was disgusting!!! My new white socks turned black from the dirty carpet within 20 minutes of arrival. The windows are are so bad you won't want to look out of them , the faucet was ready to fall off the sink,the AC rattling kept awake , on the wore out mattress , the blow dryer didn't work, had to go down to the front desk three times to finally retrieve it myself. If you like a roach-infested, mold and mildew, dirty tub, and a rude front desk staff that charges you three different fees for just checking into the "hotel," this is the place for you. If you like the front desk worker who goes by Mary but whose name tag says something else, yelling at you within seconds of walking through the doors, you found the right place. The arrogant owner charges you a deposit because the last people who stayed at the hotel broke the television. When you ask why you are being charged $150 for checking, $60 for holding your reservations, and a $25 a night fee for your dog, "Mary" yells at you that it's Priceline fault. She said Priceline had to refund us, but she called them twice and said no both times. Comfort Hotel customer service called her and said no refund. When you complain, the owner shows up with backup. Instead of doing the right thing and refunding our money to find a clean hotel to stay the buck is passed between the owner, Choice Hotels, Comfort Suites, and Priceline. No one did the right thing. We had to leave after finding reaches in the room, dirty water in the bathtub, dirty bathroom floors, mystery holes in the shower, and the hotel smelled of MILDEW. The furniture is old and beat up. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever encountered. It's time for the health department to visit this hotel. The mildew smell when the lobby doors open will be your first clue. read more

I'll start w positives. The bed was super comfy and there was a jetted tub. The curtains really blocked the daylight and I felt safe to stay. The room was really large too. And I got a full refund, which leads me to the bad. The bed was changed but the room wasn't cleaned well enough. The door lock was broken. Most of the pillows had no cases and we're thrown on the couch and left. I did find one in the closet that has a case! The flat surfaces were sprayed but not wiped down. There was hair in the tub and mold around the controls. Purple paint on the bathroom door that looked like finger paint. And last, someone left a popped bag of popcorn in the microwave. The front desk didn't ask for pictures which I added when I told them it wasn't cleaned. Just gave me a full refund. That was unexpected and a bonus. The only reason this hotel got a 1 is because I couldn't give it a zero. We stayed 2 nights, not by choice, but because we had a non-refundable reservation. The first time we stayed the water in the tub and sink came out brown. Their response was, just let it run. The breakfast food was cold and not kept on a warmer. The second time we stayed on our way home, we had a jacuzzi tub did not work, when we called the front desk they said they had no working jacuzzi tubs that worked. I told them I was not told this at check in, I told them I want a refund for the difference and never got it. The tub looked awful, and there was something on the back of the couch and on the curtain. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. It's very sad because we travel from Georgia to Iowa a couple of times a year and stay in Comfort Suites and we have NEVER had an issue. read more

The room looked and felt clean, and the beds were comfortable. It didn't smell and it was in a quiet area. The breakfast was great. It included eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, bagels, and oatmeal. The hotel was dark, hot and humid. The hallway to the room was almost unbearable. Either the owners or managers were LIVING in the rooms two doors down. We came back one night and were unable to get into the room because the key card wouldn't work. One of the women who I mentioned above happened to come out into the hallway and used a card key she had on a lanyard to let us in. She was in pajamas and had just brought children's blankets to the room she came out of. The bathrooms were filthy (we had two rooms) with mold in the corners of the showers and the grout was black. In both bathrooms, there were lights out on the side of the vanity mirrors. In one of the rooms we came back to find that the housekeeper had stripped the bed "because there was blood on it" and then left it with a big pile of sheets on top. The bed had been unused by us at that point. The couches in the room were stained (so the what also looked like blood). Breakfast was from 6-9, and was not very good. We didn't even go back the second morning. Every time we went to the front desk, there was never anyone there and you had to yell out "hello?". I have stayed at many choice hotels, and I was shocked and appalled at the state of this one. read more

5 of us stayed in a room. The 2 bed2 and sleeper sofa work out great for us. Hotel was very clean inside and out. Pool was clean and warm, chlorine was a little strong. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic. They had the waffle maker pancake maker, eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, cereal, bagels, fruit & yogurt. The check-in staff was okay could be a little more friendlier, but checked in was just fine and she got as extra towels. The only 'comforting' factor of this stay is that checkout is tomorrow. Carpets are absolutely filthy while an odor exists that would make a zombie feel right at home. They have fairly nice jacuzzi bathtubs. I even attempted to take advantage of the sweet jacuzzi. Unfortunately, once turned on a nasty sludge oozed out of the jets; while I was in it!!!! The staff at this place were GREAT! The manager was there training another person--both were efficient, professional, and helpful. The room was clean. The whirlpool tub was an extra bonus. The bed was comfortable, the room was fully dark. The pull out couch had no sheets, but they were instantly provided when I brought it to their attention. We were in need of a good night of sleep after a snowy drive--didn't use the pool or fitness center, but they are present. There was water and coffee complimentary 24/7, but no tea bags. Breakfast items that were supposed to be hot, including the water for tea or cocoa, biscuits and gravy, and eggs, were cold even though they were in what looked like heated containers. A quick trip thru the microwave fixed that. I would happily stay there again as the small things that were not perfect were easily fixed and the overall people and place were very good. read more

I work for an IT firm out of Arkansas and my job is to travel the country updating computer systems for big businesses. My coworkers and I had been driving all day and finally rolled into this hotel around 1 am Aug 1st. Our hotels are arranged and paid for by a professional travel coordinator. We don't handle any of it, just go where they tell us to and check in. The night manager was nothing short of venomously rude to us despite all members of my team being cooperative and willing to resolve a situation we don't usually handle. Apparently because we didn't have some membership card he didn't want to lodge us (despite the fact that they had all the billing information from the travel coordinator). We couldn't contact the company until morning, and he pretty much tried to deceive us into paying for the rooms on our personal cards and making it seem like it was for incidentals. He ended up charging my card for a room, putting card on file for the guys who didn't have enough money, and I ended up just letting one of the guys sleep on the sofa bed in my room- otherwise he'd have been sleeping in his truck. All because of one a-hole who didn't want to have to expend any effort to resolve a slightly complex situation. He eventually called his supervisor who even told him to check his attitude(HE DIDN'T). The following morning I expressed my complaints as to our treatment by this unbelievably unprofessional man...the morning staff were very apologetic. I use Comfort Suites on my personal travels, and was shocked at our treatment here on business. The reason I always take my family back to Comfort Suites is because of the friendly staff. My advice to management is to get rid of this bad apple...if this is how he treats polite individuals with slight booking issues, I can only imagine how he's treated people in the past with bigger problems. If this had been my only experience with Comfort Suites, I would have had a very bad impression. read more

This could be such a nice hotel. I took my family here from Columbus Ohio for a family wedding over Memorial Day weekend. Once we got there we found out they were remodeling and putting in new flooring and carpet as well as replacing the furniture in all the rooms. The elevator stopped working for an evening which of course was a pain since it's sometimes a little difficult to walk up stairs in heels with a nine month old and her stroller. I could have forgiven all of that had they not put bedding on the mattress that had old bloodstains on them. I'm sure they had been washed, but normally when people bleed on something other people use, you throw it away, you don't keep using it. I told someone about it and they apologized, but honestly I kind of expected a little more since our family had at least six rooms purchased over that weekend, so no customer service worth mentioning. Not to mention I had my daughter in the bed with us, so that was very upsetting to put it mildly. We will not be staying at this hotel ever again. read more

Upon checking into the hotel they were having problems with their system. We were given keys to a room that someone was already staying in and walked in on a gentleman. We were issued new keys and headed up to the new room, once we left the room the keys stopped working. We had to get new keys over four times because we kept getting locked out of the room. The credit card we used to secure the room was charged four different times for various charges exceeding the amount of our stay, plus we were asked to make a 50$ deposit in addition to the credit card hold that their system had problems with. Another gentleman came in as we were speaking to the manager and general manager (Teresia and Austin) and there was also an issue with his credit card transaction as well, but he was given no problem and was taken care of quickly. Because of the issues the general manager (Teresia Mueller) gave us 8$ off of one night for the inconvenience. However, the last day of our stay the keys stopped working again and there was no apology made, in fact Teresia said that "we were the only people in the hotel that this issue had happened to" (she repeated it several times) as if it was due to some fault on our part. With the exception of Gabby, who was very friendly and apologetic the rest of the staff at the front desk (Alyssa, Teresia, and Austin) were completely unprofessional and seemed to be unaware of hotel protocols. I was taken aback when Austin and Teresia went back and forth about the proper procedures, and kept stating "they should just pay cash for the whole stay now" instead of how a hotel stay is typically processed. Instead of apologies for all of the inconveniences that we experienced during our stay we were made to feel as though it was our fault in some way. I am very disappointed with the level of customer service or lack there of that both managers; Austin and Teresia provided. As customers, our time was wasted running back and forth to the front desk for keys and answering the 3 early a.m. calls that were placed to our room by Teresia. We left there feeling insulted and confused about the whole experience. Stayed here a week for business travel and I was extremely disappointed. The air conditioner did not work (it was warm air coming out),when calling the front desk I was told to unplug it for 30 minutes and plug it back in and it should be fine. I had to insist on moving to another room and was treated like it was an inconvenience. The room was dirty; bathroom floor was filthy, carpet was filthy with 12 big black stains on it, moldy food was in the refrigerator, microwave looked like it was not cleaned in months, elevator floor was filthy, breakfast area had food all over the floor and tables were dirty. Fire alarms went off 3 times during my week stay, which meant very little sleep. I called the front desk to see if there was anything to be concerned about and I was told, "nothing to worry about, it's happened for years when people take showers." Really????? When checking out, I was ask how the stay was, so I was honest and was told, "I hope your next stay is better." If you like a clean hotel and like to sleep at night, this is not the hotel for you.
