But he made sure that I was comfortable with my decision and was very patient. I got to walk around the store in each pair and take my time. I love my runners now! I will definitely be back for more shoes! Thank you, Kintec Port Moody!

I have had two pairs of the FASTR folding crutches. I originally got them because they are light…read moreand because when I travel out of the US I like to use one and carry one folded, either in my checked luggage--or in a child's snowshoe bag, as my carry-on. I actually use either one or two all the time now depending on my current mobility--it says they're not for full time use, but I have found them okay--I weigh 135 lbs and load onto the right one quite a bit (so I make them interchangeable, no ergonomic grips) but I am walking with both feet. Email/phone service is also great. Right I am struggling with putting on silicon hand grips, but that's a small price to pay. I first got them in 2008 then again 2017 because the first pair got worn out; I keep an old one in the car trunk for rough ground, and one next to my bed for maneuvering at night.

I am a plus-sized girl and have a very large calf. It is quite muscular as well, so I was very worried about being able to find a boot that would fit. And while it did take a lot of work, we ended up finding one that fit great. Nelson, the man who assisted me, was extremely kind and did not ONCE make me feel bad about being a bigger woman. He did everything he could, including calling around to see if there were any other options for me. He was taking bits and pieces from different boots to customize it for me too. All of this was without asking. He made sure he didn't hurt my ankle too, which was more than I had to say about the ER physicians!!! I ended up paying $138 and it is covered 80% by my extended medical. You will pay almost double this at a specialist office. Anyways, I will be back. They have great deals on ice packs (a HUGE one for $8 and it is reusable) and rehab equipment. I will tell everyone who needs it to go to them!

I came in and asked if i could try on the shoe even without an appoitnment and the staff was very accommodating to offer help. Greeted right when I stepped in. Sahil was kind enough to check their store stock as well as their distribution warehouse that is attached. I had an appointment at another location a week ago so I had an idea of the footwear I was looking for. Sahil followed up after bringing me the shoe and helping other people in the store. He was able to provide good insight on the shoe I was trying. Generally impressed with my experience at kintec because the you can tell the staff have either worn many of the shoes themselves or know what they are talking about. Despite trying on a pair of shoes that were on sale and one that was not, I didn't feel pressured to go for the more expensive one as some stores do. I had learned that they don't get commissions for sales so maybe that's why. The store was spacious, clean abd organized. This particular store was a bit in a sketchy area that mostly has car dealership stores but it has its own parking lot which is convenient as it was on King George Boulevard which is a main road thst could get busy. That being said , I was able to find 2 hr street parking too ( I didn't expect a parking lot). Sahil said this store had the warehouse and the lab attached and some of the other stores don't I'd be coming back here for any future shoes for sure! I would consider this store first because of the stock they have. They had stock of a shoe I wanted to try in the other store but didn't have the size. They also do custom orthotics, over the counter orthotic, have shoes stuff/ accessories and braces for knee and elbow etc support.

I have been prescribed graduated compression stockings for venous insufficiency for over 20 years…read more The Canada Revenue Agency considered prescribed graduated compression stockings as tax exempt when a written order from a medical practitioner is supplied. In British Columbia, prescribed compression stockings are typically tax exempt, meaning that they are not subject to Provincial Sales Tax. When I bought my prescribed Sigvaris Compression stockings with a copy of my prescription at my local Pharmacy, I did not have to pay GST or PST but not at Paris EveryBODY!! Their billing system charges PST for prescribed compression stockings!! When I called them to question their error, I was advised that I can claim my PST charges myself from CRA!! I am NOT IMPRESSED with PARIS everyBODY's service model. One has to pay for tax exempted items at the retail store at the store's convenience so one can claim the tax charges next year!! Since I had already ordered 3 custom prescribed Sigvaris compression stockings, I did not have the choice to refuse my ordered items. So I ended up paying PST for all 3 items!! If I had this information prior to my order, I would not have ordered SIgvaris compression stockings from Paris everyBODY!!!!!

If you've ever had an old dog or an aging parent, you know that stage: the stage where you watch…read morethem gradually slow down, dragging their feet or limping, until you have to wonder how many good years they have left. In the case of your dog, it may even be time to visit the Granville Island Veterinary Clinic, where a kind veterinarian will let you hold Spot's paw as he is ushered into the Elysian Fields. In the case of your aging parent, however, you just need to visit Paris Orthotics. I've been an Paris Orthotics customer -- or is it patient? -- for many years, and have had several pairs of long-lasting orthotics that keep my middle-aged feet and knees working happily. When I got ambitious enough to start snowboarding, a Paris Orthotics staffer even spent an hour with me, adjusting the way my orthotics sat in my snowboarding boots, so that I could enjoy my new sport pain-free. So when my aging but still active mother moved to Vancouver, I knew that there was only one spot that would keep her -- as a longtime orthotics evangelist -- in working order. She's relied on Paris Orthotics for the better part of a decade, getting her orthotics adjusted as her feet, knees and hips have aged, so that she's been able to keep up her two-hour-a-day walking regime even though she's now 78. But what really put the Paris team to the test was when my mom hit her first real mobility impairment. After an uncharacteristically snowy winter, my mom developed significant knee pain, stemming from the way she'd shuffled across icy sidewalks. She worked her way across the city, seeing doctors, arthritis specialists, pilates teachers, massage therapists and physical therapists. She saw some improvements...but she still relied on a cane to get around. Then she checked in with Martha Paris, who met with her several times in order to evaluate her gait and find out exactly where the pain was occurring. She adjusted my mom's orthotics and got her to switch to a lighter pair of shoes. Now, a month later, my mom is back on her feet -- and walking cane-free! Thanks to Paris Orthotics, I can see that my mom has many good, mobile years ahead of her. I'm celebrating by taking her to the park so she can chase a frisbee.
